Please note that I went to your The Body Shop store (#1130) located at Rockefeller Center, NYC. We had a large group and I was excited to have the FREE Body Butter coupon that was online. This was an expensive trip. I think that I dropped $500 on shopping. I was absolutely shocked with the attitude and rude way that I was treated in the store. The other adults in my group were given coupons for in-store offers. I asked my brother in law what he had and he told me to go over the the girl at the door. When I approached her and asked if there was something in the store, she said "no". I said, "well my neice and brother in law received coupons" and "can you tell me what they are for". She said that there was nothing. ? Did she look at me then not realize that I was with them. Honestly, it is not a very big store. We all walked in together. My neice told me to spin a wheel for discounts. The employee was not helpful at all. I said, "I must not have won anything" and "can you tell me where your body butter is" because I have a FREE coupon. She points to a shelf on the left. I grabbed my favorite coconut body butter and went to the register. There was someone at the register but the girl from the floor raced back there and asked to see my driver's license. I complied but had never been asked that before. She said that I could not use the coupon because it was ONLY for Body Shop members. I looked at the coupon and even read it out loud and it does NOT state that disclaimer. Then the employee said that she had a telephone call from the corporate office disallowing the coupon. I said that it was false advertising not to comply with the coupon or offer a solution. Who was she to make this up as she went along?. At that point there were other people in the line, including my neice, so I took my coupon and went away. She said, "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!
Then my neice had Body Butter with a FREE coupon and also a bogo coupon that she received in the store for the wheel of discounts. She was not given any BOGO offer and put the 2nd body butter back. She is a Body Butter member, but her coupon was refused as well! The employee offered no explanation for not using the coupon and my neice realized the 10% after she left the store. This is very clearly false advertising!
Is there any way to take advantage of a good deal with it is out there besides having some young 20 something make me feel like crap? I ask you?

This is false advertizing you ### and my aunt was cheated by that person and so was I even though I am a member of the body club so before you go around saying something ###ed think you idiot.
They advertise STEALS AND DEALS on the Today show. $124 value for $39. I place an order with two items. My order shows up WITHOUT the STEALS and DEALS promotion item, and no explanation, no 'out of stock' message, NOTHING on the invoice. After being on hold for 45 min. I was told it was discontinued and they would refund my money. THIS IS DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WIth THE BODY SHOP and recommend that NO ONE DO BUSINESS WIth THE BODY SHOP.
