confirmation not received
I placed an order today for 4 books . I paid via PayPal and received confirmation from PayPal the money was paid. However I wasn't signed into my book depository account and I haven't received any record of a confirmation from book depository that my order has been placed . I'm worried that my order won't be processed and I won't received books but ive paid nearly 30 euro for something that won't ever arrive and id very much like them before Christmas. Is there anyway of finding my order or getting a refund
order cancelled without notice
On 26 November I placed an order for two books listed as available for delivery from the UK within 2 days. My credit card was immediately charged and I received an order confirmation.
I never had any more communication from Book Depository, but when I checked my order status online, my order was displayed as cancelled. I emailed Book Depository --- there is no other way to contact customer service --- and didn't receive any assistance.
Finally on 1 December I received a refund on my credit card. Still no information at all from Book Depository. In the meantime one week has passed and timely delivery before the holidays is now in doubt.
non delivery of items ordered
I have placed an order with The Book Depository, it has been 21 days now and I have not received my order. I have emailed to tell them that it was a gift and if it did not show up in time I was going to return the item and I did receive an email back saying they would look into the delivery and get back with me. Two (2) more days have gone by and still no reply or delivery. I will post this complaint and many more on every media site I have available to me! Thank you for nothing, bad business!
unsolicited emails

I have unsubscribed to Book Depository emails multiple times but kept receiving their emails. I used their email unsubscribe function twice but then I received an email on 15/11/17. I emailed them directly asking to stop and received a confirmation I've been taken off their distribution list. However I received yet another email on 17/11/17, so I emailed again asking to stop and received same email confirmation from a different person. I have now received a third email on 20/11/17 from this site. Despite numerous requests to not receive their emails, and numerous confirmations (no explanation) I am still receiving their emails. This is unprofessional and frustrating. How many times do I need to tell them not to email me before it takes effect?
book not being included in the box
ORDER ID: BDU-873-[protected] was incomplete. One book called Ecclesiastical History of the English People was left out.
On the written piece of paper which was in the box the book is not ticked and circled (See photo) as being included in the box as the other items were. I have written and sent the document many times and they just say to keep checking the post office. The box was delivered but it was incomplete. Because the order states that the book was enclosed Book Depository's records do not correspond and they are constantly sending me the same information about checking the post office.
I do not know what to do from here. The rest of the books have all been delivered except that one.
refund
I was returning a parcel to book depository for a refund however Australia Post has lost the parcel. I have contacted them and they requested that book depository calls them. I was then told that book depository does not provide phone support. I contacted Australia Post again and they provided me with a simple form for book depository to fill out. I have once again been told that they cannot do that and upon receiving the parcel I will be issued with a refund. They are not understanding that this is not possible and there is no way for me to contact them aside from the completely inadequate and unprofessional service that I am receiving.
fraud charge not refunded
I notified this company on Monday, November 6, 2017 that a fraud charge of $40.49 appeared on my USA Chase bank account and to remove it so it does not post to my bank as a payment. I received a reply back saying they cannot do anything about it, I asked them why and they had no response, today, Wednesday, November 8, the bank charge posted to my account. I sent another message to them and they said they are not refunding it, even though I did not make the charge, they refuse to issue credit and refuse to let me know who placed the order. I want my credit issued immediately.
I notified this company for over a week regarding fraud charges, they refuse to refund my card claiming they cant do it because of "data laws". They have my credit card info, dates and amounts, there is nothing preventing them from issuing credit. They are willingly and knowingly allowing fraud charges and I want it stopped today along with a refund.
I was charged again for $75.10 on my Chase bank account after I told them earlier this week of a fraud charge on Monday, they refuse to address the fraud and said they can do nothing about it, so now I have 2 fraud charges that they havent refunded or acknowledged and will not provide any customer service resolution, I have given them all the details and yet they do nothing, refund my account today

A cover of Dvd without Dvd is a misleading sale, and since the cover was not sealed and not having been confirmed by your services is lack of professionalism of your services and company.

Hello, I placed a book order from the US for a client in Australia on Sept 30th 2017. The Client never received the 2 books. I contacted the Book Depository. Apparently they shipped them to the wrong country! I exchanged several emails with a Book Depository Representative. The rep insists they cannot refund me unless the books are returned as undeliverable. I find this very unprofessional and unfair, as this was not my error. I ordered 2 copies of: "My Beloved Dogs Wellness Book: Veterinary Record Keeping and New Owner Resources. I would like an immediate refund of $19.08.

a order from UK should get delivered in 2-5 working days but after a week, when i emailed them for why my order still showing processing status. I get a reply saying, go ahead and file for refund as we do not have stock. You ask for refund and you get nothing. Till date neither money nor books have come back.
I would recommend to avoid this company that claims to be owned by Amazon. No professional company would do this.

I ordred a book and after 4 weeks and 2 email to help, I had any answers and any books.
orders being cancelled
I have made 11 orders until now starting from the 6th of October, and they were ALL BEING CANCELLED with no clear explanation.
The first three e-mails said that I have put something wrong for my personal details in my payment, HOWEVER, I checked to my bank account and they said that there are 11 payments APPROVED and waited to show on my balance. The last e-mails didn't provide anything except Bookdepository is unable to fulfill my order.
I need to know WHAT IS GOING on right now. I don't want to do another order, only to be CANCELLED again.
I have e-mailed the customer service and tweeted the account (both bookdepository and bd_help), but they haven't responded until now. At least, I just need someone to tell me what is wrong, so I won't go panicking like this.

I have spent 214 nzd on 4 books on the 15th of september 2017. Order number bdu-231-[protected]
Book depository status says that 2 books have been dispatched on the 18th of sept. Until today 07/10/2017 I havent received the 2 books.
On the 25th of september 2017 I had to follow up in regards the 2 last books and after 24hours they said that the books were dispatched. (26/09/2017)
I have contacted bookdepository and seriously this is a completely joke. They never reply and as I read in few complaints before, it is always a different person who replies to the email and no one seems to care or take any action in regards the matter.
I already requested a full refund and they don't even respond, and if they respond it takes 48 hours for an answer with no resolution.
I had bought a book from them before but never again.
JUST AN UPDATE.
I have received 2 books out of 4 so far.
2 books that have left after the first 2 were dispatched arrived today Saturday 07/10/2017.
However the books that were dispatched on the 18th of Sept haven't arrived yet.

wrong book received - appalling customer service
2 books ordered by relatives in NZ for our daughters birthday. 1 book was incorrect. Despite numerous emails and information supplied the Book Depository has still failed to rectify the situation.
Going round in circles about a cheap paper back.
Ridiculous. Appalling lack of cust service or care. Each time we contact The Book Depository we get a reply from someone we haven, t dealt with before and we go straight back to the beginning. A massive waste of time for one book from a massive company.
order not received and terrible customer service not replying
I placed an order for three books on the 16th of September that I required for school urgently, The plough and the stars by Sean O'casey, The bell jar by Sylvia Plath and Foster by Claire Keegan.
My order number is BDM-278-[protected].
They sent me separate emails on the 19th of September letting me know when each order was dispatched but it was all on the 19th, so I know they would all ultimately be delivered seperately but arrive at around the same time.
I received Foster by Claire Keegan on Monday the 25th of September, expecting the other two by the next morning.
When I still didn't receive them by Wednesday night, I emailed them on their website.
I live in Ireland and their shipping time is supposed to be 4-6 days.
Their reply time is supposed to be within twenty four hours and it is now almost Saturday and I've sent them several messages and they still haven't replied.
I contacted my post office and they said nothing was being held for me and the book depository would have to track it.
It's almost Monday and I still won't have the books for school for the third week. I've given up and will purchase them from another retailer. I just want a refund now. But how is that supposed to happen when they have terrible customer service and ARE NOT REPLYING ME. It's been almost 11 days. I'm a first time buyer and this is definitely an off putting experience I won't be buying from them again but they better refund my money.

On 06/09/17 I ordered the following from you:
The book Red Notice.
I paid in full by credit card the amount of $14.31.
The reference number for my order was BDU-643-[protected]. and the ISBN of the book i received was [protected], which is the incorrect book.
I was expecting to take delivery of the item on 14/09/11, but at present I have still not received the goods i ordered. Since writing 6 or 7 times for any information on why i havent received the book and whats being done about it, all communication has been cut off from the book depository.

I requested them to update my mailing address as i used short form and afraid that the book will not reach me. Initially the officer replied they can update for me abd ask me to provide my address. So i provided but there is no response from them. I email a few times and still no reply. I will like to request for refund now. Please get back to me at [protected]@hotmail.com. Its very bad service and i will not purchase from you again.

I placed an order BDU-821-[protected] on 27 July 2017 and subsequently received an email on 4 Aug 2017 saying my order is on the way, shipping from Australia and reaching in 4 business days. Until today, 14 Sep 2917, I have not receive the order. I contacted the customer service and they told me that my shipment may be with the local sorting facility. I asked for a tracking number to retrieve my parcel but they never reply me. I had ordered from book depository for many years and this is the first time I encountered such incident. Will think twice about ordering from them again.
