Poor customer service due to cut backs in employee's hours. Looks like the Corporate World is taking from the hard working people and stuffing there own wallets. You know:kickbacks, Taking from the bottom line to push there own agenda. To Hell with the ones who are busting ### to make the company money. If there was no hard workers at the store level the ###s in corporate would not have there JOBS. They took our Sunday pay for full time employees. There making employees work 10 hrs or more in one shift with little time to rest between shifts. not giving adequate breaks. Having to do other people jobs in other depts because they have no hours to hire to cover there dept. All hours must be going to the ###s in corporate. This place would break the back of any hard working, caring worker.

I agree. I had applied for a job here, and the store manager took me to the bakery dept where I MAY start working. There was a lady impatiently waiting because NO ONE in that dept would help her.
The manager took the employees side and said that they cant be everywhere at the same time. He shrugged the elderly customer off. This was at the Greensboro Fresh Market as well.
Oh, and I didn't get the position either. Evidently, my having two small children and only being able to work two weekends a month wasn't good enough for them.
So, even if you have zero experience and will work like a dog for barely any money, and loves to be an every weekend-slave...then this hell hole is for you. I wont shop there, and I tell everybody what happened. Cheers!

I totally agree with this post and the comment. been here for 9 months at a new store that just opened and it's been hell. i've literally been scheduled before to close (supposed to close at 9pm) but have gotten out around 11 on some occasions and been scheduled to be back at 5am. One person was scheduled to close one night and then come back in at 4am. It's insane. My pay has never been right and I usually get a general excuse to explain why it hasn't been handled yet. People steal, come and go as their please, call out constantly and since the turnover is so high they won't fire anyone. It's a total hell-hole. And never eat at the Deli. It somehow passes health inspections but being a food service manager prior to this job, I don't know how they pass. I'm pretty sure deli items fall on the ground in the dairy cooler and are put back out. Food holding temps are terrible. Almost all of the bakery items are frozen or just mixes. It's ### backwards here and it's insane. Everyone is miserable and they say we have a morale problem! Save yourself your soul and never work for this terrible company.

My wife was working for store 61, In Atlanta Ga, they gave them a lady store manager name Justine. She been fired from the company before for sexual explicitly with her boyfriend, they bought her back. She bought 3 people with her from Khol's, where they fired her ### for prejudice against blacks. But Phil the District manager and her is Best Friend. Until they move him, she will be giving all the employees Hell! They never ever hardly take a lunch break, sometimes they stay over and she makes them take it off! Or write them Up for her doing. She have fired 4 people lately and 2 have quite. They are down to 9 people in the Deli department and it is a high volume deli/store.The front end doesn't have any workers...All the Associates are miserable since she came, No one seems to be HAPPY about their Jobs? The RM is Donnie and he is Not concerned about the store employees, because if he was he would know how the employees feel.:-(

Good Service includes due diligence with health and safety for both customer and employee, yet some within TFM do not seem to be overly concerned with their required legal aspects on a continual basis, only stepping up to the plate when inspection visits are about to happen, which are announced a few days before. With my experiences working at TFM, on day one I concluded that sanitation and cross contamination control is non-existent and would be very difficult and overly time consuming to do so given the physical setup of departments. Some have a more active concern than others, but not wanting to create waves or problems and just keep their job, they say nothing to the upper store management. I personally had my had-enough switch flipped when one person, who I feel has a 3rd world level attitude towards food safety, plus a superiority complex, opened a jar then appear to put it back on the shelf after seeing the wrong type was picked, inviting illness or even death on some old unsuspecting client with botulism. Top store management was informed. This was not only an illegal action but represents a fundamental disregard for company reputation and millions in potential litigation costs with this one action.

As the only person manning a dept, you hardly get time for a Pee break and forget about taking a 30 min lunch, because management doesn't want to be tied down to that station for more than 5 minutes covering for you.

At my store 61, we have a new store manager that is more concerned about beautifying the store which is ok to a point! But he should be focusing on his associates getting help ..not enough workers to cover the shifts. We hardly take breaks or able to finish the jobs we were scheduled to do for the day.Our Prep room associate have quit so its one person working in there everyday, one lady have Ostearthritis, and have No business working in there..she have told them over and over. Them not knowing that could be a lawsuit, plus she walks on a came.
For this year, I have been here I have seen people come and go.Due to George the Assistant Store manager, he is rude and never come to see what the associates want when the customer is looking for him. He have told associates if they want their job they have to stay way pass their time, because he runs in the office when they call him for checkout at 9:30/10:00, Sometimes they miss their bus. When other managers closed they let the associates that are ready out the door. Not George!
I was happy here but am looking for somewhere else too.😤😤
