I took my 2013 Hyundai Elantra in to Pep Boys in Austin Tx for a wheel bearing estimate in September of last year, when they gave me my estimate and the front desk clerk Meghan gave me my keys and told me have a nice day smiling. I didn't think anything of it since I've gotten estimates at other car shops before, so I proceeded to get on the busy I 35 freeway, after entering the highway shortly after coming off the entrance ramp and I'm up to about 65 mph, my car hood comes flying up and crashes against my windshield shattering it sending glass flying into my eyes face arms and lap. Now I can't see the road ahead of me so I begin immediately pulling over, and run into busted tire debris and trample over it damaging my suspension components. Meanwhile I have been talking with a 3rd party claims adjuster for pep boys at a company named Corvel, and now my car finally gave out after waiting this time, and sent me crashing into a concrete barrier, which I could have easily died. I am seeking compensation still for the damages they created to my car short and long term, as well as reimbursement for my medical bills still please. This has been a tragic situation ever since the first incident caused by the Austin location Pep Boys on Lamar and I'm still seeking payment for theses damages. My name is Brandon Lawson and my phone number is [protected]. Please contact me anytime for this urgent issue. Thanks.
