I have just returned from 2 nights at your hotel in Cairo. My husband and I and two friends were part of a Jules Verne party visiting after 4 nights cruising on the Nile. This trip was for my husbands 60th birthday and was a surprise that I had planned 12 months in advance. We were delighted to stay at your hotel and on arrival we found the room and the whole hotel to be of excellent standard. However we were placed on the 3rd floor and that evening there was a wedding taking place the noise was deafening and did not go off until mid-night. The second evening desperate for some sleep we went to bed at 1030pm and at 0130 we were still awake with the noise of a second wedding. I rang reception on this occasion and was told someone would ring me back in 10 mins. I did not receive a call back and unless they turned the music off they would not have been able to do anything. On checking out I raised this issue with reception and asked why we hadn't been given rooms at the back of the hotel on a higher floor. This lack of sleep totally ruined our stay at your beautiful hotel.
Desired outcome: Consideration of a refund/apology/ offer of voucher to use in the future. Also consideration to feed back to the hotel in future weddings guests should be considered or warned about the possibility of noise and given the option to cancel.
