pirated auto software and device, poor customer support
One hour after I purchased the TOAD SW and ELM327 cable, reading bad reviews, I tried to cancel the order. I sent multiple emails to the contact site daily. With no response, I get notification of a thank you from TCD for me order which has shipped and my credit card has been billed. The story is not over, one hour after ordering I've asked PayPal to cancel this order from this fraudulent site that sells pirated software and cloned devices. I've contacted my credit card company telling them to halt payment as this is a fraudulent site. I will gladly return anything TCD ships to me, but I will not pay return shipping to Australia!
elm327 & software
Purchased the ELM 327 Pro from Totalcarediagnostics and received the package in good time. Alex E. the owner of total care is a scammer low life. The elm is discontinued by its own manufacturer, no ELM software exists and Toad software does not work at all. No replies from refund requests from Alex E. Not a word.
It's my fault for not digging a hair deeper into his company and the scam he runs. The ELM327 can be purchased from Alibaba for $7 US funds, Yup thats seven dollars, quantities are even cheaper. as it is no longer made and the software version/chip version has been discontinued for well over a year with no availability or updates. The software Alex sells is obviously not his as he claims. Don't waste your time or money on this complete rip off. Buy a cheap scanner for no more than $30 and use freeware, you will be farther ahead. Remember I said farther ahead and not satisfied...
