Stay away from Toy Barn!
Stay away from Toy Barn! I bought a Bentley for $150000 and it's been nothing but trouble. The transmission is giving me problems, and to make matters worse, they don't even bother returning my calls. Before I made the purchase, they were quick to reply, but now they're nowhere to be found.
Terrible experience overall
Terrible experience overall... False advertising (difference in mileage from advertised number by 500 miles), price increase after deposit was already in place, car not at the dealership but being personally used by owner even after deposit was accepted and was informed about all that 6 hours before my flight to pick up the vehicle ... so of course car was not serviced and detailed waiting on the new owner. WORST DEALERSHIP I HAVE DEALT WITH - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I tried to get a price for regular maintenance for my car
I tried to get a price for regular maintenance for my car. I left 4 voicemails and the receptionist said someone would call me back on the fifth call. But nobody called me back. It seems like you need their cell phone numbers or something to reach them. I'm looking for another car and I won't be considering Toy Barn. I flew one way to LAX to get my Porsche in October and I need an independent shop to take care of it. It seems like the dealership is too busy and doesn't want my business.
I've been waitin' for 3+ days and they keep stringin' me along, sayin' the "Sales Manager" Gregory * M*** gonna let me know if they gonna
I've been waitin' for 3+ days and they keep stringin' me along, sayin' the "Sales Manager" Gregory M gonna let me know if they gonna accept my buy. Then they go ahead and RAISE the price on their website and on Ebay by $13,000 bucks, just tryna squeeze more outta me (I got the screenshots, ya know). This is the most unprofessional experience I ever had. I strongly suggest stayin' away from this mess of a dealership. And to the owner, don't bother sendin' me your canned response from your internet team, I don't want it, and nobody readin' this wants to hear your "Thank you, we…" excuses! This place is just plain awful.
I just bought a vehicle from the dealership, Sales Manager Chris S****
I just bought a vehicle from the dealership, Sales Manager Chris S. Overall, the experience was great. I needed some time to check out and drive different models before I settled on one, and Chris helped me every step of the way. There was no pressure to buy everything I drove, and once I found the one I wanted to buy, the rest of the process was very smooth. Overall, I'd recommend the dealership to anyone interested in the types of vehicles they sell. As for the car, I've only had it for 1 day, so I'll update this review if there are any issues later on. Chris assured me that their inspection process was very comprehensive, and that my original manufacturer's warranty would be intact. If that's true, this dealership will have my business for life.
Horrible!
Horrible! I bought a car from a salesman at Toy Barn through the phone and internet, but there was no response to my questions and issues. I asked for a paint meter reading, but I never got it. They were supposed to replace a discolored window switch before shipping it to me, but that never happened. I had to call them 5 or 6 times just to get them to ship it. When it finally arrived, it was filthy and still had the stock number written on it in grease pencil. After waiting for 5 months, they sent me the "window switch," but it turned out to be the wrong part - just the plug-in harness. I had given them the correct part number, but they still got it wrong. Finally, after 7 months of endless emails and unanswered phone calls, I received the correct window switch that was supposed to have been replaced before they shipped the vehicle to me. I had to pay to have it installed. I'm still waiting for a copy of the service records, but they keep ignoring my calls and emails. I highly recommend finding a more reputable dealer and avoiding these guys. They'll take your money and then disappear.
BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING HERE!
BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING HERE! These guys are greedy CROOKS! I called them 'bout a 2011 Gallardo they were askin' 142.5k for. Talked to the GM Chris S (who acted like he wasn't the GM), he said we can't do 137k, but we can do 140k, I AGREED and told him let's move forward and I'll pay for the shipping.. Then I told him I'd like to take the car for a PPI (pre-purchase inspection), that's when his voice started shakin' and Chris S tells me "oh you don't need a PPI, we already inspected the car at our shop its good" and kept goin' on and on 'bout why I don't need a PPI and how I should just trust 'em... I insisted and told him that I am buyin' the car 100% and if you already inspected it then you shouldn't fear the PPI and if it comes back clean then we will move forward. He said he would call me right back and never did... (Basically anythin' to avoid the PPI). The followin' day (today 4/21) I call again and eventually they agree and send the car to the shop I chose for the PPI. The shop called me for my credit card and said they would call me with the report when its ready. 'Bout 30 minutes later the tech calls me and says, I've never seen anythin' like this, but they just came back and took the car, said they got another offer... These guys have a very dirty business practice, then they wonder why I don't trust their in-house inspection...
Buyer beware, especially if you're from out of state
Buyer beware, especially if you're from out of state. This is gonna be a long review, but if you wanna know how these guys do business (check out *** for the full review) with proof, go ahead and check it out. Honestly, they're just a car dealership that'll try to screw you over any way they can. They straight up told me right from the start that they don't offer any kind of warranty (where I'm from, all dealerships give you at least a 30-day warranty on every car they sell), but they claimed to "take care of their customers" and that they wouldn't have the reputation they have if they weren't honest and good to their clients. Of course, I knew they were full of it, so I went ahead and bought an aftermarket warranty, thank goodness. But let me tell you, as an out of state buyer, they were honest about not having a warranty, but they were also completely dishonest about the condition of the car. And let me tell you, they definitely DO NOT "take care of their clients" once the sale is done, or even before that. We drove a whole 5 hours to get to the dealership, only for them to immediately drop the price we agreed on by $1500 because the car was in way worse condition than they made it out to be, and they knew it. Their so-called detail department is a joke. They couldn't even bother to clean out the cupholders or the engine bay. I found dog hair in the cupholders and leaves in the engine bay while I was checking out the car, and I pointed it out to the salesman. He apologized and said they would have it cleaned again while we did the paperwork.
Bought a Benz S55O convertible from Toy Barn on June 6
Bought a Benz S55O convertible from Toy Barn on June 6. Been tryin' to get in touch with the finance manager, ***, for 5 days 'bout an interest rate mix-up on the contract. Left 5 voicemails and asked for a manager, but ain't nobody callin' me back. Drove 3 hours to get the car and found out it had some body and paint work done on the right rear corner, even though they said they didn't know 'bout it. They gave me a discount on the car, which was good, but y'all gotta be careful with this company. *** will answer your calls before you buy, but after that, good luck gettin' a hold of anyone 'bout financial issues. I even tried callin' my salesman, ***, to see if he could get *** to pick up, but now *** ain't answerin' either. Don't buy a car from Toy Barn without seein' it in person, and don't trust the clean car fax they give ya. There's a bunch of slick talkin' crooks, like ***, at Toy Barn, so do your research before buyin' a vehicle from 'em.
