My family and I love Toys R Us. (I shop online at ToysRUs.com as well). But unfortunately, I am a heart failure patient and need assistance at larger stores like Toys R Us. I should say, ESPECIALLY at Toys R Us, because when we go there, we are there for hours, checking out every aisle, buying things for our son but also for all the children’s gifts that we buy throughout the year. I can walk short distances without much trouble, but there is no way I can make it through a larger store on foot. I used to hang onto the cart for dear life and find little empty spots on the bottom shelves to sit and catch my breath, or I’d have to wait in the car while my husband and son shopped.

I have complained for 5 years now that the Toys R Us stores in NorthEast Ohio that I've been to, especially Niles, Ohio and Boardman, Ohio, DO NOT HAVE SCOOTERS OR WHEELCHAIRS for customers to use. They have done nothing about it. I'm going to write to the CEO next and see if that makes a difference, but complaining to the store and calling the Customer Service line have produced no results in 5 years.

Ridiculous.

Dear Billy's Mommy,

Toys R Us does in fact have motorized shopping carts for the walking challenged. How hard did they laugh at you when you asked for one? The carts are for our gimpy brethren, not FAT people! You overweight hogs are just dragging this country into your slimy mudholes. You overburden our health care system with your boundless gobs of putrid fat, you wear shapeless bedsheets for clothes and you are constantly crying for food. Enough! You cry that we are mean to you but tell me, does a fat ### look good to you? Chunky thighs? Multiple chins? Did you ever notice fat people all have the same face with sunken eyes, skin stretched beyond belief? Put down the triple cheeseburger, extra large fries and 94oz. milkshake, tubby.

Since toys r us is wheelchair accessable why would you not just bring your own? Why would you expect a store to supply you with one so you can shop? They are a store for babies and small children, should they have 50 strollers avavilable for customers use, oh wait, I believe most people bring their own strollers to put their child in.

I do kind of agree with you that it's a convenience to the customer to have motorized carts and wheelchairs available for use but a big issue is the fact that the store is meant for children, some of them small children. Some people (not all people) in motorized carts tend to think that the entire store is for them and they don't pay attention to others, including small children. In the mall one day, I had an elderly man in a motorized scooter practically run me down because he wasn't paying attention to where he was going. So I can see where motorized carts in Toys R Us would be a bad idea.

Actually each toy r us is issued one wheel chair, they can try to order more but corporate will never send them. If there one gets broken or stolen its at there own discretion to use petty cash from the store (which means taking a profit drop for the day it withdrwn, hence a profit loss for the store) to purchase a new one. Unfortunately, thats never going to happen.

Some of you people are cruel. There should be scooters or wheelchairs.. what if you had to bring your own shopping cart? I dont need a scooter or wheelchair but definitly have compassion for someone needing one. Those of us that dont need them are lucky we dont have to deal with that and should be supportive of those that do need them.

By the way alot of people pushing around shopping carts don't watch where they are going so that has nothing to do with motorized or not its the individual person

There absolutely should be wheel chairs! Yes, it is a children's store, but the parents, grandparents, and great grand parents are the ones there purchasing the merchandise. My grandparents and i go there frequently to buy my son stuff and my grandmother has had multiple knee surgeries and even a replacement. So no, not everyone is fat and lazy. There ARE actual handicap people who need them. Not everyone can afford a big gas guzzling vehicle to put a wheelchair in!

I cannot believe the comment by T and his buddy. You guys definitely need psychiatric help. Not all disabled people are fat, at they do need the motorized scooters. Also, a lot of "fat" people are fat due to no fault of their own. Many morbidly obese people are in that condition due to medication and medical problems. I personally have to use a cart because I am on oxygen and have degenerative disks in my back and neck.

Wow, Tony Soprano and D need to GTFU. Sometimes, I wish the internet allowed everyone to be exposed; their real names, addresses and phone numbers. That way, wimps, like Tony Soprano and D can't hide behind their computers. I picture them as scrawny, nose picking, little dweebs that work as an employee for ToysRUS and hate their jobs. Otherwise, why would they even be checking online for toysrus complaints. It's probably someone like an assistant manager bc a real manager would have enough integrity NOT to reply so immaturely.
Anyways, I'm not "fat" or wheelchair bound, but I do have sympathy for those who are. I think there should be a law in every state making every store in America carry at least 2 electric carts.
