I received a pre qualified letter in the mail about a loan but I decided to *** them first and that led me to here
I received a pre qualified letter in the mail about a loan but I decided to *** them first and that led me to here. I find it interesting how the 1 and 2 star reviews are written in detail about what a negative experience they had dealing with Tri Point, and how misleading it is about receiving what appears to be a check but in reality, it's a debt consolidation program, but there are many more 5 star reviews with one or two sentence positive reviews, most of which are written in broken English. It almost gives you the idea that people are intentionally misleading people with positive reviews that are not authentic. I think I'll pass on dealing with Tri Point

My experience was with Christine M*** a Senior Analyst
My experience was with Christine M a Senior Analyst.. www.tripointlending.com Christine M | Senior Analyst -she was by far the rudest person in customer service I've dealt with in sometime. She cut me off, tone was total crap, she got louder in repeating the question when I didn't answer quick enough, I can't believe she's employed in the CS arena. In the end when I stated with I'm not going to miss payments she the said you should've said that in the beginning and hung up on me. UNBELIEVABLE! There is ZERO need to experience this bad behavior from anyone- FIND a better company to do business with, find a Company that cares-this is not the place.

was great he listened to all my issues I had going on and we worked out a plan for me I would highly recommend tripoint lending to anyone in my similar situation best decision I've made in a while getting my credit back under control after all my setbacks
I feel like I found a brother! *** professional who offers and explains a product that is life changing! *** is personable, knowledgeable and creative in offering aid to those in financial distress. A GODsend!
was excellent. Very professional and friendly. He didnt make me feel embarrassed because I need help. Very empathetic. Great customer service.
was amazing and helped my family out a lot.
*** was very professional, took his time explaining everything to me
was very professional, took his time explaining everything to me. I called asking about the loan offer but after *** took all my information he explained to me in detail that I qualified for the debt relief program for the loan I have which is charging me an outrageous interest rate. I am now going to save a lot of money thru this program and paying just slightly less than I was paying the monthly loan payment. While I did not get any money on a new loan I am very satisfied that I will be saving lots of money in paying off the existing loan. *** walked me through the whole process and answered all my questions and I am very impressed with him. He helped make the whole process much easier.
was outstanding and very helpful. He explains every details and makes you feel comfortable. It is a blessing he prays for you each day. Love this and we need more people doing this for each other.
He is exceptional. Excellent customer service, with extraordinary knowledge about the companys products and services. He is the right man for the job. He is a great asset to this company. He is very helpful. His attitude will attract many customers. I felt at ease and secure. He gained my trust.
great talking to *** he was well versed and knew what he was talking about
was very courteous and helpful. He explained the program, going over the more difficult parts until I understood exactly what was meant. *** is definitely a Five Star employee.
I canceled my service at first because we couldn't afford it but when they said started giving me a run around on when I would receive my refund
I canceled my service at first because we couldn't afford it but when they said started giving me a run around on when I would receive my refund then I knew something was off. Today is August 25th and we still have not received it they charged us fees for fees but yet they didn't do anything for us. I've called several times they say the calls are recorded but I never get the same answer or our refund. They finally offered ach payment but wanted to charge me 35 dollars for it and take another 7 to 10 days. I want our money back and at this point in time I want it all back in our bank account asap as fast as they with *** first payment no fees charged to us absolutely no fees charged to us and I will not recommend them to anyone.

All 5 Star rating must be from people that work for or know someone that works for Tri-point. I get letters in the mail almost monthly with my pre-qualified amount getting larger every month. When i called in to speak to someone I made it a point to tell them it was a loan that I would use to pay off other debt and use some for home improvements. Like others have said they try and get you to agree to a debt consolidation loan which is not what they advertise in the letter they send out. when talking to "***" he stated that "it only look like a consolidation loan but it was not." I asked to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor said about the same and when I told them I was not interested the supervisor used a few choice words and told me if I didn't know what I wanted to quit wasting their time. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Use the resources you have to find a better company to work with. I hope they get fined or sewed for false advertisement and trying to take advantage of people in the hard times and act like they a better than the people they claim to try to help. Please do yourself a favor and find another company. there are plenty out there.
From what I am seeing, this is a big a*** scam. All the 5 star reviews look like robot responses. The mailer I got in the mail even says personal loan. If it was real then I would have gone for it, but now there is no way I'm taking a risk like this with my credit
is an awesome guy handled everything exactly the you should, explained everything you needed to know, made the process painless ! Thank you
A is the best. He was very understanding. He assisted us during the entire process and made it easy to understand. *** A is an asset to this company. Thank you for all of your help.
As most people received the pre approval
As most people received the pre approval. However I honestly did not expect to get a loan. The representative *** spoke to me about my options. This was to do debt relief. I was hesitating at first because of previous experience. *** listened to my concerns. Then he clearly explained how their program worked. After spending time and listening I elected to join. Even after I could not start as soon as they needed me to. He worked it out so I can start when it was more convenient for me. I do not feel like *** was pressuring me at all. I just joined and I am confident that this is going to get me to the debt freedom Im seeking. I was so pleased with my experience that I have already referred a friend. Thanks ***!
Predatory
Predatory. They pre qualified, have you apply, then pre approved. Its bait and switch. There is no loan. They take your money and dont pay your debt until its 4-6 months late. Then they negotiate for a 50 percent settlement on your behalf after receiving your money for 6 months. The payment they quote you is only a 25 percent settlement and they pocket the rest. Certain accounts cannot be included and you have to keep those current or you dont qualify for their loan (which doesnt exist) after 6 months. Then you are stuck making huge payments to them for 24 months. THERE IS NO LOAN! If youd like me to negotiate settlements for you Id be glad to. Its very easy and not worth going with a scam. Call your creditors and explain the circumstances. Settle for Pennies on the dollar.

Received debt reduction promo in mail
Received debt reduction promo in mail. I was suspicious but husband called them. Bianca Rodriguez returned his call and offered to negotiate with bank re credit card debt. I traced number to Neutral-Tandem LLC-CA. Looked them up but they are telecommunications and VOIP provider. On a scam-warning website, the number Bianca called from had numerous complaints, including three to FTC. There was also a list of related phone numbers. Selected a few, with one or two digits off the original, and looked them up. Most were on scam reporting sites. One, one digit off, had 3 complaints filed with FTC. Company that sent promo was Tripoint Lending Personal Loans - who have 367 spam reports. I left message with Bianca, hoping to record our conversation for the FTC, but she hasn't returned the call.

I had the pleasure with speaking with *** for my experience
I had the pleasure with speaking with *** for my experience. I revived a letter telling me I was pre approved for $21000 with 5% APR. I called to inquire about this and after speaking with him was told that I was approved for *** instead and that its not a cash loan but rather a debt consolidation. He told me he was going on lunch break and would call me back. I did some research during this time and felt uneasy about the other reviews. When he called back I expressed my concerns and was immediately hit with a hostile and demeaning attitude. I do not recommend their services as this sounds like its not the first time it has occurred and I imagine their services might also hold true. He told me there was no hard inquiries but if you read the disclaimer at the bottom it reads after proceeding with the application there will be hard inquiries. At the end of the phone call he made sure I knew he wasted his time.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with TriPoint Lending
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with TriPoint Lending. In particular, the Client Advocate, ***, was outstanding and is honestly deserving of huge corporate advancement. *** was well within all professional courtesies for all our scheduled appointments, was extremely knowledgeable and understanding, and explained and answered all my questions in detail. It was obvious she had my best interest at heart! In the end, though, I decided to forgo the assistance that included a fully approved loan that *** worked to put together and get approved. Still, *** was right there to say she fully understood my decision (after all her hard work and time consumed) and wanted me to reach out to her if I needed any credit/debt assistance in the future. I will go nowhere else if I pursue assistance in the future. Thank you, TriPoint, for putting such a great advocate on your staff, and thank you, ***, for all your help. It made a huge and lasting impression on me!
It's a scam
It's a scam. They tried to go through all this nonsense about how they could help with debt consolidation (not knowing that I literally have a Ph.D and do debt counseling). They went off on large monologues of their services. Went down into the "system" and saw the credit cards. Then continued to show me "programs". Then after selecting a program and going over the whole "no interest" loans... That mysteriously give me a loan for $10,754. Yet my payments are only $8,504.83...? So in other words, they are sticking you with a higher payment, then offering settlement to the bank for lower amounts. Then the institution is pocketing the difference from this lending consolidation program. Then they had the balls to ask me to start making payments today without any contract or related documents at all. I asked for the contract and documentation three times, they couldn't give it to me because I wasn't enrolled. But I had to make a $300-500 payment to be enrolled. Not how this system works people. Don't be scammed. lol

I received a pre-approval for a choice of either Debt Consolidation or Personal Loan- I went online and entered my information and it said that I was pre-qualified. Someone called me within the hour and I was asked which option I wanted, and I confirmed a personal loan and not debt consolidation. He took my information over the phone and I answered a few questions along with confirming the loan amount that I was interested in. He then sent me the online application to confirm that all the information that he took from me over the phone was accurate. The first thing I noticed was that it did have the amount that I requested, however, under service type, it listed debt consolidation. I let him know that, and he immediately turned rude and defensive. I reiterated that I was applying for a loan and that in order for me to continue the process, I would need him to change it to say personal loan. He indicated that he could not do that- I let him know that I do not wish proceeding further as they are misleading and conning me into signing up for something that I did not ask for. He said ok and hung up. I highly do not recommended this company. If I could give a negative start, I would.
After being in denial for years that I have a heavy debt burden, I researched TriPoint Lending upon receiving an offer in the mail
After being in denial for years that I have a heavy debt burden, I researched TriPoint Lending upon receiving an offer in the mail. I liked the company's high ComplaintsBoard.com rating. So, after pondering my debt overnight, I made the call -- so glad I did. *** answered the phone, and after a lengthy phone call due tomy many questions and a lot of nervousness and anxiety (not over my debt, but over envisioning wiping out my debt over 48 months), I felt hopeful. *** is patient, knowledgeable and motivational. Thanks, ***! Because of you, I'll get my first night of solid sleep since before the pandemic. This rotten pandemic has killed so many people; and for many of us who have survived, it has decimated our finances. Just adding WiFi to my cable plan -- to work from home -- worsened my debt as I had begun climbing out of that pit! And my large employer refused to reimburse for the WiFi ... so now I'll be getting my dignity back after working hard for four years in TriPoint's debt relief program. I have no issue at all with changing my lifestyle, which already is basic. The stay-at-home order in 2020 is what forced me to begin that change. I can do this, I will do this, and I will remember that ***'s tough love helped me love myself enough to improve my finances while keeping my head up. ***: Thank you for all that time on the phone -- just now that I'll follow through and try not to be afraid during this new journey. I had no fear saying yes to all the plastic (to all the false security), so, yes, I'm ready. This is an uphill battle for *thisweary lady to reclaim her life. Many blessings

Got a letter from TriPoint Lending about combining our unsecured debt
Got a letter from TriPoint Lending about combining our unsecured debt. They hooked me up with *** from Alleviate, who took my personal info and said he'd call back the next day between noon and 1 pm to finish up. But he never called back. I'm gonna report this to the *** fraud division.
They keep calling me about their program even though I've asked them more than 25 times to stop calling me
They keep calling me about their program even though I've asked them more than 25 times to stop calling me. They advertised a personal loan program and offered a debt consolidation program which I think is just a trick. I just want them to stop calling me. They call me about 5-7 times every week.
So, I got a call from TriPoint Lending, a loan company, at 9:15 pm on May 6th
So, I got a call from TriPoint Lending, a loan company, at 9:15 pm on May 6th. They were trying to sell me a loan with high interest rates and said it was because of Covid19. I was almost asleep when they called. I'm on the do not call list, but they still called me. It's against the law to call after 9:00 pm, so they could get in trouble for that. I've never done business with them before.

TriPoint Lending sent me notices that I was pre-approved for a certain amount
TriPoint Lending sent me notices that I was pre-approved for a certain amount. When I called them and gave them all my information, they said I was approved. However, when I put in all my bank information, social security number, and date of birth, I was declined. The woman handling my case got off the phone and didn't reply back, which was unprofessional. I don't know if I was scammed by giving up all my personal identification. I need to know if the company is legit.
