I set up to meet today from 3-5 to show the apartment available for rent at 1 Universal St, Framingham MA. I waited there for two hours with family & she never showed up nor did she notify us of needing to reschedule or that she would be unable to make it. We confirmed this time beforehand & I am genuinely frustrated & disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing this listing & purposely took time off from work to see this apartment just to be stood up. I would appreciate some answers as to why this occurred.
Desired outcome: I want an apology & a response from the seller at the very least
Homeless because I invested too much time with this company
I have been attempting to find a rental apartment since September 2021. I have sent numerous requests asking about apartments listed. They rarely, if ever respond. If they do respond, it usually takes at the very least a week.
This "company" is a nightmare!
It is now mid-April and I still haven't found anything through Trulia. I have been living in motels with a large breed puppy and cat and am coming to the end of my savings. Having to move to the ones with the lowest rates now. I can't even get a job until I get settled because I rarely have access to a car and need to find one close to where I will be living.
I hate these internet companies. They feed off of advertisements, not quality business.
Is Trulia Legit?

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

The age of Trulia's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.

We looked up Trulia and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Trulia has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 7% of 13 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to Trulia. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
rental review fairness
I asked to be considered for a home rental almost two months ago. I didn't get any response on this location. I would have been fine with a rejection beforehand or some explanation. But the only notice I got is the home was off the market by trulia. This seems a little selective since I didn't even get to see the house. Concerned about your process and how people are allowed to see the homes. I think if a home is selective about it's tenants then maybe it should be known ahead of time. That way no one is wasting their time.
horrendous customer service
I pulled up a specific real estate agent I was referred to on the internet. The site happened to be Trulia that was the first one that showed this agent. I called the number and an EXTREMELY RUDE call taker, ALEX GRACE answered the phone and refused to let me speak to the agent. I didn't realize it was Trulia employees who answered the phone until I talked to the agent's company the next day. Alex said he would have another team member contact me. I told him NO, I would only speak with this particular agent. He put me on hold and told me she would contact me the next day between 9-5. He never asked for my phone number and I asked him if he needed it. AGAIN, very rudely said..."Uh, it's the one you called in on, isn't it?" About 5 minutes after the call ended, he sent me a text with a different agent's information and told me to expect a call from that person. I think Trulia needs to fire this [censored] and explain to people that they are not speaking with the actual real estate company they think they are calling and that they are just a referral site.
Same terrible experience!
false advertising
My neighbor is selling his house and this Sunday he is having an open house but the house that is on your website is the picture of my house, not my neighbor's house picture. I already have people looking at my house and invading our privacy. My house is located at 8 East Young St, Somerville, NJ 08876.
My neighbor house is located at 254 N Bridge St. Somerville, NJ 08876. He is around the corner from my house. Please have somebody correct your website.
Please fix this problem as soon as possible. This is not the first time my privacy is being invaded due to the wrong information on your website.
They don't respond
So irritating when instead of hearing a human voice you talk to records and you cant reach anyone to tell about your issue. They don't answer my emails and never pick up the phone. Left several messages and the voice machine "promised" to call me back. But they didn't.
What is wrong? You don't need customers or you have too many of them not to work with the new ones?
Oh well, I'll just find another agency.
Do not believe anything you see on this website!
I was dealing with one of Trulia real estate agents and was very disappointed and had a terrible experience with that guy. I wanted to write a review about him and actually did, but it was deleted right away!
When I contacted Trulia and asked their rep what was going on, they said that my review did not meet their standards. Then I made another negative review and the same thing happened. These people are scammers and they are deleting all the negative reviews! Do not believe anything you see on this website!
The agents didn't listen to me and placed the advertisement too early
Be aware of Trulia Reality. I contacted these guys and asked them to help me with the house, which I needed to sell. The foreclosure date was in December and I informed the agents. I said that they could place the advertisement after I would move out. They didn’t listen to me and placed the advertisement before the foreclosure date. When I was at home, different people want to look at my house and even try to take some pictures of it. It is illegal.
Complete Scam and Fraud
Trulia sales staff lied to me, blatantly. I was sold 20% of the leads for a particular zip code and I got paperwork to prove it. I never got the leads for that zip code. Further, when I tried to contact Trulia, I was never able to reach an actual human, whether over the phone or using email. I tried to reach them over and over again for months. I finally had to cancel my credit card after several weeks. Then, Trulia told my credit card company that I signed a contract. The credit card company asked for proof of that, and Trulia couldn't provide it, because there was no contract. They then tried to say that they'd informed me on the receipt that there was a contract. The credit card company stood up for me. It's been nearly a year since all of this started. I never had one single phone call or email returned from anyone at Trulia about the complaints, and had to go file a complaint with the State. Even though I got most of my money back, Trulia sent me a letter saying that they were going to send me to a collection agency, and sue me to ruin my credit for more money. Now, I'm trying to figure out who to see about that, because I think that's a federal law they are breaking there, too. I keep reading all of these reviews, and I wonder how they are not in jail or shut down already. I tried to do my research first. If someone just puts Trulia reviews in the search bars they will only get all of the Trulia marketing material when they try to do any homework about Trulia before buying. I read a few employee reviews on Glassdoor, where former sales people said that they were made to lie to customers by management, and that they quit because management also lied to the sales people. The leads I did get for other zip codes besides the one I paid for were all bogus. When I went on some of the complaint websites I saw that Trulia always says that they reviewed the terms and conditions with the customer who complained. But everyone says they never got any phone calls from Trulia or any response to their complaints. This company is the worst group of scam artists I know of in the United States today. Trulia should be held to account for the actions of their employees. They steal from agents and brokers and continue because of the inaction of Trulia management. it seems to me that they must know that their employees are liars and thieves or the company would have someone answer the phone and emails to customer services. I think they are hiding so they can pretend to not know what is going on when the company gets busted but I hope they all go to jail, even the President of the company. If you didn't give them your credit card yet, don't. If Trulia was really a legit company who delivered what they are selling, everyone would stay with them forever but they are liars and that's why there's a problem. The stupidest thing I've ever heard them say was that it takes skill to convert the leads they send, when you just get a phone number that is out of service or an email that says the address is invalid. Convert that.
same story here
Cancellation Woes
The story begins with an in-office Trulia. com presentation by Alice Pak, who sold me some mobile advertising and said I could do a minimum of 3 months if I was not satisfied. The first month was dismal, and I contacted her then. I was told to "give it a chance" for another couple of months. I contacted her prior to month 3 to cancel at the end of month 3, and even went behind her back to customer service to ask them to cancel me since she didn't follow up. I was told that company policy is 6-month minimum, but if Alice told me 3 months, then he would cancel me.
Fast forward. After 3 months they keep charging my credit card again. I went back to Alice and she said "this isn't the first time" and "I'll work on getting you a refund" and "I know it's not just about the money, it's about the hassle and stress too." She said she would work on it.
I "leaned" hard on the sales rep to get the issue resolved. I was contacted by a customer service manager. I do have his name and number. but cases are assigned, so he can't help with every case. But even though I had hassle, stress and headaches, I withdraw my complaint unequivocally.
Clearly too good to be true
Major scammers! They had a house listed as for rent for $700 a month. Clearly too good to be true, I requested more information to see what the catch was. Turns out it wasn't for rent at all but for sale for a much more realistic price of $385, 000. Ever since, I've been getting really spammy phishing emails about the listing asking for my information. I've done more digging and found several other instances of the same thing, houses listed for rent at ridiculously low prices to draw attention then turn around and rip you off. This actually seems to be pretty common place for sites like this.
advertising my home
This company has my home listed as sold, listing a price and picture of home and view of block. The information is false, my home has not been sold, and I sent and email asking them to remove this immediately. I was able to email at: [protected]@truila.com. Could you pleas assist me in making sure this is removed.
