Truworths credit facility
I opened up a truworths account in May 25 2019 with an account limit of R500, I have had this account for the past two years with no increase in the credit limit at all. I have phoned their offices over several times with no success. I decided to close account with R650 credit available but they are saying that I still owe them money. Please someone explain if I have a credit limit of R500 the item I need to purchase is R1000, I transfer funds of another R500 to make amount R1000 then purchase item. I then continue paying until I bring my credit limit back to R500 and they say I still owe them. Then they say that's not how the account works. I have payed my account for the past two and have kept it over and above the actual account limit so how do I still owe the company if it is the positive.
Desired outcome: The account to be closed because the account is not working for me.
Fraudulent Transactions
Last month a had a query where I received bad service at Alex mall, now within a month already there's fraudulent transactions done on my account. I received an sms thanking me for the transactions done on the 3rd November 2021 but I didn't purchase anything. haven't lost my ID or licence and my card haven't received it yet. Clearly this is not coincidence. Please help

I would like to lay a complaint with staff and the manager of Parow Centre Truworths.
I returned an item on the 1st November 2021 that I bought with my credit card. I was asked if I would like cash or the amount back on my credit card. I specifically stated that I would like the amount back on my credit card. The cashier did not listen to my request and processed the refund as cash. When I requested that the manager assist, she just apologized and said there's nothing she can do about it. An apology is not going to solve my problem.
This is very disappointing as not only was the service appalling and very slow, but the manager did not help my situation at all.
I hope this information will be relayed to this store and that this kind of service will be corrected.

I open the account online, & become successful, I went to Evaton Mall branch to activate & they said they'l send my card.
They gave me credit of R2 000, I started to purchase, then I pay my first instalment through Capitec bank app, second payment at branch. Truworths blocked account, saying I have to send them three months bank statement, I went the Evaton Mall branch, I gave them the three months bank statement as requested.
But without success, even now is blocked and I paid there is credit that I want to buy.
May you give me way forward please.

Truworths Promenade Mall - A sale item with a 50% mark down retracted while wanting to purchase it

I am seriously disappointed at the service of Truworths Promenade Mall in Mitchells Plain. A dress to the value of R699 had a 50% mark down tag stapled to the price tag and the 699 was crossed out on 50% tag. The item scanned full price and I spoke to the person in charge (28/10/2021) today and I was told the item cannot be sold to me at the discounted rate even though it was clearly marked with a 50% sale tag. They contacted the Area Manager and he also retracted the sale item and said he cannot sell it to me at the marked down price.
It is pathetic customer service as I do not find anything in your policy stating an item clearly marked as a sale item ( whether it was tagged incorrectly or not, is not the customers fault).
The consumer protection act states the the price you see is the price you pay for and yet me as the customer was denied the price I saw clearly stapled to the tag. Absolutely Ridiculous!
Billed for an Online Order which I did not Receive
Good day
On the 17th of October 2021 I placed an online order. I received an email confirming I had been billed for the order but did not receive the tax invoice to track my order. I contacted customer service twice and was assured it was an error on their side and my order did not go through even though I was billed (which my bank confirmed) therefore I will be refunded. I have not had any feedback since then and I did not receive my money back. This is absolutely unacceptable as I have been a loyal customer for years. I will NEVER place an online order again if this is the service I receive from Truworths!

This is regarding three rivers truworths. The lady was absolutely rude. We tried passing her, and said excuse. She ignored us and did not move. The customer service is pathetic. This happened around 3:45 on the 23rd of October 2021. They do not respect or greet a customer. I am not happy about this and I will not support truworths untill the staff has been handled.

I'm complaining about poor service and waste of my time & money.
My phone got damaged (water damaged) last Sunday (17/10/21). On Monday I went to Truworths in East London Oxford Street to check if I do qualify to buy a new phone, I knew my account is in arrears but because of a great stress I was going through at that moment, I wanted a new phone soo badly regardless of how my account looks like coz I do have a buying power. The lady in Oxford gave me a print out with R3900 credit available. The lady made me sure that I can buy a new cellphone in Vincent or Hemingway since they do not sell cellphones, I've asked the lady if I can ride a taxi as in now and go to Vincent cause I'm desperately need this phone, she said YES. When I got to Truworths Vincent I met a lady called Siyanda of Siyasanga one of the two, she was working at the tills, I was soo confident to say Im buying a cellphone Nokia G10, and that my account is in arrears I'm aware of that, and I'll pay on the 25th, she literally refused to give me cellphone cause my account is in arrears and system won't allow them to proceed with transaction, I was sooo shocked and confused with this different story now.. I told her the lady in town said I should come here Ill get a cellphone, she said no the lady in town misled me. I was sooo angry and kept on asking Questions, she refused and the coloured guy who was on duty yesterday (18/10/21) agreed with the lady... I couldn't feel myself, I was numb already and went out. I had to spend my money on taxis for nothing.
Today (19/10/21) I went to Truworths Vincent again and I had to borrow the money cause I needed cellphone so badly... but before I could pay my account, I was already carrying my bank card, but I decided to tell the guy I met today in Truworths Vincent the whole story about what happened to me yesterday, his employee number is (2020559) according to proof of purchase. This cashier asked me which phone Im looking for, I told him Nokia G10 worth 2500, he said to me ok let me ring it sisi... just like that without even a cent I paid. Im very angry with the way Siyanda or Siyasanga treated me, I had to pay another money on the road again today and I got a cellphone just like that.. I'm asking myself Soo many questions and I'm very angry and confused... imagine another night without a cellphone, it was a nightmare to me, only to find out I'm gonna get a cellphone today, what was sooo difficult to get a cellphone yesterday? I feel abused emotionally & physically and I will pay this account in full and close it once... that lady made my life difficult for no reason. And people like Siyasanga or Siyanda are killing businesses slowly but surely, imagine in this difficult time with Covid and our poor economy and yet there are people like that who dragging businesses down... that's totally not on. My heart is sore, that lady abused me on top of stress I was already have.
The guy who assisted me today deserves better and he is an asset in the business.. thumbs up to him.
To that lady I won't rest till I get a proper explanation of why didn't I get a cellphone yesterday? And why I got a cellphone today without payment? Am I look like a fool maybe?

Good day, I'm so dissatisfied and disappointed at the same time I normally do my purchase at your store bt never had a dramatic and poor customer service than today, I don't know how your employees take us as what I really do not know, yesterday I was at mall of tembisa truworths wanted to open an account the lady who assist me yesterday said I will receive an sms in 24hrs and I did then today when I go back to tembisa truworths mall, I asked a lady who was busy a the floor for assistance she said I must go to the counter, what a dramatic person I got there at the counter, I use my id book ever I mean evrwhere the lady said to me your id it's old I can not help you, how could ShopRite and my personal bank be able to assist but with you cannot, she didn't even bother to try at another machine, she didn't bother to call in a manager, she said her name is nobuhle if she didn't lie to, she is rude towards customers, people like deserve to be at the back not on the sales floor, what a waste of time and energy to come to your store
Unethical behaviour
Got approved online for an account, went on the 13/10/2021 to collect my card, got helped by a lady on the till, she then referred me to another lady "Mbali" to explain the vouchers for me but this is where she refused to help said she was busy, she threw me with the vouchers as she was calling me names and assaulted me. she even said even if I report her she knows nothing will be done to her. I didn't even shop, and am considering to close the account

Truworths loch logan mall bloemfontein free state
On the 11th of October 2021 @ 14h15-14h45, my daughter and I entered the store and used our own sanitizer like we usually do in all the stores at some of the sanitizers give us an allergic reaction. We both have severe allergies that causes allergic attacked and swelling of the body when ever we use products that our skin is allergic to. There were two men that work at Truworths Loch Logan shop F6, 105-107 Henry street, Westdene, Bloemfontein, 9300 that attacked us for using our own sanitizer and claimed that if we do not use the store's sanitizer we may not enter they even made it a point to push us so we can not enter the store. I did try to explain to the guy that we have severe allergies and did use sanitizer when we entered the store we even made it a point to show him the sanitizer. Out of aggression he stood in front of me and intimidated me forcing me to leave. I was treated like I had a "contagious disease" whereas I do not. All I wanted to do was to shop for something really quick. I have been to the store before and there was no problem regarding me using my own sanitizer. They did call the manager and she told me that I will not be helped if I do not use their sanitizer, I asked her if I should risk my own health for their own benefits. I am well aware of these pandemic and its conditions but I did adhere to every rule and restriction but just merely using my own sanitizer made them attack me and also wanting to force me out of the store without providing valid proof of why I cant use a WHO approved sanitizer instead of the store's sanitizer. I would like to know that since I have sever allergies and cannot use all the store's sanitizers will I be chased away each time? What if I used it and had a severe allergic attack where I was unconscious and swollen and not responding to anything would they have understood then why I cannot use it? Who safety are they trying to protect here? If in fact I can no longer shop at Truworths because of an allergy may they please alert others like me who have been chased away by their staff and manhandled by their male staff and security for a simple sanitizer. I did not like the treatment at all and how I was manhandled by male staff members for a simple sanitizer. I was treated like I was a thief trying to steal something in the shop. So much discrimination against someone who has allergies like I asked to have them.
Order not received and never refunded
I purchased two items in July. Order number o151292817
Order was lost and never received during the riots. I've been back and forth with Charlize from online who promised me in August my account will be refunded and updated. Till today I've not been refunded. The items were lost. I received the incorrect t item after the riots. And my shoes were lost.
I've been back and forth since July. I refuse to pay my account until it's been sorted.

My Truworths account is paid up to date. I pay my account via EFT and the payments could take a few days to reflect on my account.
For July I paid on 27 July
For August I paid my account on the 1 September
For September I paid on 27 September and made an additional payment of on the 28 September.
I am not very happy and do not appreciate that Truworths put on my Credit report that I skipped 1 month payment.
I would like to know from them, When ?
I am a good payer and pay my account every month.
I am just going to pay this account finished. Close it and never shop at Truworths again. I can't let my good name be dragged through the mud like this.

Missed / Short payment due to debit order not being updated as requested
My Account was almost paid up (monthly debit order) I got a call to ask how I would like to settle the last installment and I requested that they adjust debit order accordingly. When I made purchases afterwards, I started receiving Truworths calls to say their are moneys outstanding. I asked on numerous occasions that the debit order just be increased accordingly. I have just received my latest credit score report and my rating dropped by 20 points due to "unpaid installment" This was not unpaid but short paid as they did not follow instructions to amend debit order automatically. This has a severe financial impact on me, as we are busy looking at a house to buy and the drop in credit rating has a very direct impact!
Desired outcome: Truworths to correct their mistake, adjust debit order and immediately rectify with credit bureau in order for my score to be reinstated
Call centre agents capetown
I received a call from truworths debt department. I missed an instalment of R250 I did advise them payment will be made this weekend but have received like 5 calls already pesting me for payment then they threaten me of charging me for calls and sms and additional charges. I regret opening an account with Truworths these guys are unbelievable very rude and arrogant. I will be closing this account and not recommend this to anyone.
A plea for possible policy review
I have allergies and cannot use most of the sanitizers provided by the shops. Yesterday the 22nd September 2021 I was denied access to two stores in Bloemfontein despite having explained to the security my situation and pleading to use my sanitizer. I appreciate the impact of Covid-19 and the decision taken by my preferred shop and want to plead consideration on how we could also be included and continue to enjoy our shopping experience with Truworths.

Ok where does I begin. My Husband has a Truworths Man account, I bought a black dress on his account at Truworths Walmer Park in PE, there was red shoes also but not my size. After this I looking at every Truworths but unfortunately cannot find my size. On the 13th September 2021 I call Truworths Uitenhage, the lady Ganel confirm that they have a size 8 in the red shoes. I asked her to hold it for me, I will collect it on the 14th September. On the 14th I drove to Uitenhage from Port Elizabeth 40km. At Truworrths Uitenhage want to pay again with my Husband's Truworths Man card, and the lady said to me unfortunately I can not buy on my husband's account, I call my husband and he talked to the lady and explained to her my wife bought on previous occasions with his card at Truworths and there was no problem. But they refused that I bought on his account. I said to the lady they can check on the system his ID but unfortunately I cannot buy on his account. Please explain to me why can I buy at Truworths PE on his account and not at Uitenhage Truworths.

I went to Truworths Lakeside Mall during my lunch time to purchase a phone, there was no to assist me at that department, the lady who was working at the till was kind enough to leave her station to try call them, no one came and I decided to leave because time was not on my side. I went again at 16:45 I had to wait for more than 20 min because only one person was working, when it was my turn to be assisted, I selected the phone that I wanted and filled in the documentation only to be told I cant buy a phone using an additional card. My argument was it was not the first time buying a phone at Truworths with my additional card, I once bought 2phones in one day without no struggle at Mall of Africa, I bought a Huawei again late last year at Midrand Boulders. Now im told only my husband can buy a phone, I needed the phone ASAP, hence I went there twice. So where is the efficiency and consistency of the company if you dont work the same.

Pathetic customer service
I've opened an online account @ Truworths... they sms'd me to say it's been approved I have to take my Id to the nearest Store & collect my card. I took it to N1 City. I gave the lady my Id & she asked me to remove my mask, as if she was looking for something from the start NOT to help me. she then ask what sellotape is on the id, so I said my id book is old & the selloptape is there to just keep it together, but needless to say the photo & id number is as clear as day light... so she refused to help me & said I have to go for a new Id in order for them to help me... not sure if this is a racist thing from Truworths or what! I will not recommend anyone to open an account, rather go to Woolwrths or Foschini, as just before I went to Truworths I've opned a Woolworths account with absolute no problems. The so called Manager @ N1 City's name is Chané! Truworths you are sooo unprofessional! I felt so embaressed, as Chané let me feel as if I was @ the police station questioned my id, as if I've tampered with it, seriously! you suck!
