Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
My credit card company (American Express) credited my account. No questions asked. Everyone should dispute their unauthorized charges.
I completely agree! not only is this company a rip-off they send your credit card information to other companies and when you call to get your money back, they say that "you authorized this charge"
OMG~ What a scam! Not only did they charge me twice...$69.75 within a 14 day period! They also charged me for something called (Fit Factory} $19.95 a month...What The H_ _ _! I never saw anything anywhere about Fit Fatctory! Where U can call and get help with fitness questions!
These people are a "Major Scam"
""Beware"" And Be sure to tell everyone U know...And post in every blog U possibly can...
"Ultra-Lean" Diet Tea...Is nothing but a bunch of thieves...
And the tea...Is realllllllllly "Nastie" Tasting...
Don't let them get their hands on your Credit Cards...Good Luck...
AND SPREAD THE WORD...Broke In Oklahoma...
Thanx To Ultra-Lean Tea!
Here is another gut punch from this company. Last week a charge for 19.95 appeared on my credit card from www.fit-fac.com. I called the number on the web page and they kindly let me know I had signed up for a membership with their online trainer service when I had ordered the "diet supplement". If this is not cancelled within 21 days you are enrolled into this thing monthly. It was easy to cancel, hopefully, but that is another 20 bucks gone. Might be time to cancel this credit card.
the have charged me twice now and i want to cancel my order and i can't find the number where did you get the phone number to cancel it from? they have also charged me for something else i have never heard of.

I'm f'n pissedd! I got into this stupid stuff too, oredred it online, and then randomly got sent another package of 30 ultra lean green tea. I called them and the women calmly told me I was charged $69.87 for it! I was furious. It's been 11 days, and I keep trying to call the 866 phone number and I get some ### that they are closed, or all lines are busy. I'm going to keep calling but I want my refund! I sent the unopened package back like she told me to do, and I have get recieved my money. NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO THIS! Nest month if I get charged for something else I'll probably flip a lid. I called and cancelled my account right after I recieved the extra package of the tea, so hopefully it's cancelled. It's really stupid to put your credit card number online when there IS NO FINE PRINT TO READ! I think I'll go cancel the card I have now, and get a whole new card and number so they can't charge me anymore. Is that a good idea? Good lukc to everyone because we ALL got f'ed over!
I received a"free sample" but was charged on my credit card. I just received
a second bottle which I didn't order and don't want.
WOW! I can't believe how many people out there have the same story I do. I wish I would have found this site before I ordered from this Scamming company. Unreal I have been trying to contact them for weeks now and can't get hold of any one by email or phone. What ever you do stay a clear of this terrible company!
Check out the bit for the Credit Card part. The best they could offer me was to cancel my first order, and send me double the orders for half the price... That way I'm only getting screwed ~$35 instead of the ~$70.

the initial 'risk free' payment is solely for the shipping and handling costs, and the rest of the charge is the product which you cannot receive a refund on once you open the package... but you don't get charged for it until 14 days, so if the post office is speedy, you're screwed. the refund they say you can get when you're not 100% satisfied, is only on unopened products, but you have to open the product to try it... so what's the point? everything within the container is in individually sealed tubes so it's totally reusable for the scam artists which are U.L.G.
you also are signed up for fit.fac.com a charge of $19.95. they refunded me with zero hassle and the customer representative was very nice and helpful, that wasn't the case for the ultra lean green. customer service representative #116 offered little help and i am currently being refunded the 69.87 to be charged $34.00 to receive 2 more sample packs of this garbage i don't want. So this way I'm only short $34. plus the original shipping.
i also started receiving spam e-mails by the dozen once signing up for this 'risk-free' product. it also tastes gross, and i think some of the crystals are gelatin or something that expands in your belly. either way, just drink lots of water when you're hungry or before you eat if you have troubles with portion size.
it's true it dosent work and they keep charging you till you call them and wait on hold for over 30mins. to cancel your order. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!
Hi i had the same problem where they charged me 69.95 for an entire month supply when i called they say there is a special and i can get the product for 34.95 so i was like ok then today when i called they said that the "free trial" was 34.95 and the additional month supply that i didnt request is 34.95 what rip off... they change around their stories there so often and they even called on my phone and said to confirm my shipment for 34.95 so i said yes because i dont want to pay 69.95 not knowing now they charged 34.95 for the free trial cause i was suppose to call back in 14days to cancel and then they charging me for the full month...is there any way that we can get back our money... if anyone is cancelling please get a CANCELLATION NUMBER
I ordered the free 'thirty day' trail from this company. It tasted terrible and I did not see any results. that is not the only problem, soon after I got a 60 some dollar charge on my debit card, based somewhere in Minnesota. Of course I had no idea how that could have happen, so I called my bank and they told me it was this company that made the charge. I was very upset and closed the account.
Apparently, this trail only lasts for i think 14 days, then they charge your account the next month if you do not return it in time. This of course is in the fine print. Additionally, this is a void contract because silence in not considered a yes answer to contact which means they are not able to take money out of your account, because you did not sign the contract.
If this has happened to anyone else, and you want to possibly start a class action suit let me know i would totally be in. In this company's defense, they did update the site, possibly because of complaints so it is a little more clear that you can only use the free thirty day free for 14 days. But be careful and never buy from this site or this company!
I did not except the second or third order and was charged $69.87 for both, I'm calling my credit card company and doing a charge back.
THIS IS TRULY A SCAM !
all of you have said it all... this is ###. COMPLETE ###. I was on hold fo rlike 10 minutes...Mike#270 picked up, i told him i wanted to cancel any future orders, and how i could send the last one back(which was still in it's little shrink wrapped package.) and he said that if i send it back i'll be refunded the $. I hope this works... This really sucks!
I feel for everyone that was as stupid as i was and fell for this crap!
I am with you if you want to file a class action suit against this company.
just_let_be@yahoo.com email me.
Good Luck! You will never receive a refund...Ripped off
I ordered the power tea sample back in September and didn't receive it until October I called them up and canceled any further orders and I was told if I send back the product I will receive my refund. Well guess what?! I sent it and I received nothing. I keep getting these lame excuses. It is a scam bigtime!
I spoke with my credit card company and they are aware of this company and their reputation. You know how you can get your money back? I'll tell you... I made the mistake when shipping back the order not sending it first class so I would I have a tracking # instead I sent it regular delivery. My credit card company told me that if I had the tracking # of the package I sent back they would be able to go into their bank YES their bank and retreive my refund. So to all you people in the future if purchasing anything online always make sure when sending it back you have a tracking number. Meanwhile I still haven't received my refund. I managed to reach the corporate office [protected] ext.118 and no reply. The operators I reach when I call tell me they are having problems sending it back and its on expedite but funny they wont let me talk to accounting. I suggest we all do right by reporting this scam company to W-five and let them do an investigative report and bring this company down ONCE AND FOR ALL!
going through the same experience. Have called ultra lean green tea and have been told that my account is cancelled yet they continue to send me the tea and charge my account. I had cancelled my order online before they changed their website.
With so many complaints, this company needs to be held accountable. I think I will also send a complaint to large news networks because enough is enough.
Did anyone notice that they are getting another charge on their bill, coincidently with ordering this tea? If you check your credit card, you will see: Web acess (a 1800 #) NV 4.95 @ with the number of a website eg:1.[protected]. I have been getting 2 of these every month for 6 months. I also got caught in the WU-YI tea scam at the same time. They were reasonable to refund, but this 1-800 number I called said it's a membership to an insider club for tips on weight loss. no one answeres the phone and the website is a seach engine. I found a class action lawsuit to a similar scam for a fitness video that people ordered and were charged on their credit cards for monthly items. I guess some of us are so eager to lose weight we forget to use common sense!
Sorry I forgot to post the link for Billy Banks TiBO video

We didn.t even apply for a free sample and we got charged $69.87US seeing as we are canadian the total charges came to $86.78. We never even recieived this product. when I called I found out that apparently we signed up for this 14day trial for this green tea product. But hey here is the catch once you get the free sample you are stuck with a monthly subcripition. Thankfully I called and complained [protected] and they are apparently going to refund me I will most certainly be checking to make sure that I do in fact get the refund I was promised. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I have nothing nice to say to them.
My wife used my credit card to sign up for this garbage using a facebook link, under my nose.
She called and "cancelled" it. I received a credit for one of the $69.87 payment.
But the Kunt5 have charged me for two more $69.87 payments since then.
If these Kunt5 don't give me my money back, I'll have to file a suit with my credit card company.
And after that, cancel my credit card.
I am honestly not impressed, especially with my stupid wife.
They deserve to be publicly tortured, executed and set on display, so others may smell their rotting corpses in the hot summer breeze.
Maybe that will remind people not to scam the innocent.
IT IS NOT THE COMPANIES FAULT YOU ARE ALL TOO STUPID TO READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IT IS A LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT UNDER THE COURT OF LAW. NOTHING IN THIS SAD WORLD IS FREE AND NEVER HAS BEEN. DAH! DO YOU NOT READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING WHEN YOU BUYNG AN HOUSE...OR CAR. THE TERMS WERE VERY CLEAR WHEN I READ THEM, THE TERMS WERELOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO THE SUBMIT BUTTON. IF YOU ASK ME YOU PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS TRYING TO SCAM THIS COMPANY OUT OF FREE PRODUCTS.
My mother was scams by these "PEOPLE" as well. I noticed that she had withdraws that were not accounted for on her last two bank statements. Unfortunately she is not very computer or internet savvy so when she saw that she could try some green tea for free she went for it. Now I am trying to help her get a refund and stop this bull. She called several times and so far has not been successful on speaking with anyone. Now it's my turn to go after them. First I am going to make sure that nothing was delivered to my sister’s house. My mom stays there for a time though out the year. In any case, the next thing to do is to file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) they are in partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). I figure if enough people do this the company will be investigated and hopefully shut down or at least made to be a bit more honest with people who want to receive their free samples without being scammed into losing money.
If anyone here would like to follow suite here is the web address to the Internet Crime Complaint Center here it is; http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
Hope this helps some people.
I READ T&C'S - Before you decide to take up sides with the company, which the P.O. Box of the company is listed to be about 8 to 10 miles from where you claim to be located (SUSPICIOUS TO SAY THE LEAST), and call the people here STUPID you need to read other post listed here. In many cases this company has not sent out product that they have deducted money for; my mother’s case being one of them. That in itself is fraudulent, dishonest and theft “UNDER THE COURT OF LAW”. To refute your comments “DO YOU NOT READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING WHEN YOU (your grammar) BUYNG (your spelling) AN (your grammar) HOUSE...OR CAR”, (by the way correct punctuation, spelling and grammar are a good thing you might want to try using them) I say to you; DO YOU PAY FOR A HOUSE OR A CAR BUT DO NOT LIVE IN OR DRIVE THEM? To obtain a refund they want you to send the product back first, kind of hard to do when you never received it in the first place. Also they say you must cancel before the 14 day trial period is over yet you don’t receive the free trial product at all or receive the free trial product after the 14 day period so this prevents you from being able to cancel the “LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT UNDER THE COURT OF LAW”, as you stated it to be, in time.
You might want to take the time to read other comments and issues prior to passing judgment. You might also want to take an English/Grammar refresher course as well. People here were subjects of fraud and were stolen from and that is AGAINST THE LAW.
OMG! Took me a little longer to get it. I really have tried these little nasty tasting "tea" packets for around 90 days now religiously. They do not work. I just found this site, while searching for the company's home site. Never did find that. But did see the phone number on this site. Called it. After telling me that all was cancelled, and seeing so many of you who stated that after being told the same thing that nothing happened, I am worried. I guess we'll find out next month. I will definitely be watching my statement. I suggest everyone who cancels do the same. The only way I know of to stop the charges if a company refuses to stop debiting your acct, is to change your acct number. It sucks, but I have had this happen to me before with those magazine/vacation deals. The bank said that was the only way to stop them.
I now have 15 of these ridiculous can in my cupboard. I accidently found the site and now can call. Pray for me. This is a nightmare of a company. Someone needs to put a stop to the scam and jail these people.
i was asked by my friend (since i am a biochemist) about this product ""AcaiBurn"" and "GreenTeaExtreme". on their websites its probably the same things being said.
- 14 day trials,
- free 1st bottle of paying only shipment.
- Opera said it was good as seen on TV
(it might be true that it would help loose weight but the pricing is absurd)
it all sound convincing until i saw their follow ups of payment which is being charged 50 and up $$ automatically per month and auto-shipping of a new batch of product.
Like the previous post said, call your credit card company and ask them to block it and make a complaint that its a fraud company. they'll take over from there.
I am having the same experience as stated in the aforementioned complaints. I had cancelled my order via there "standard procedure" for contacting customer service 5 days after initial order to ensure not further shipping and billing would occur.
And, what do you know?! I received another shipment and have just checked with my bank and they have charged me again $74.95. I again sent email via the "standard procedure" as I was told via phone call at their customer support phone # and was told that they would have to send me a "formal cancellation request" to my email. And then, I must wait 5 days and call them back at which time they will transfer me to "corporate office."
Sounds like another "ripoff" to me, similar to Vonage who I had cancelled my account with on 10 different occasions and they still were automatically billing my checking account until I finally had to close that account.
How long will these thieves be allowed to operate and steal people's hard earned monies as well as betray people's confidences.
I am going to make a report to the consumers protection agency in my state.
I have the same problem with Green Tea Xtreme I have call the people they said they would e-mail the form to fill out to cancel but have not got the e-mail. They took money out of my account. What can I do someone needs to stop these people they are ripping people off. What can I do and who can I talk too. to stop them form taking money out of my account.
By: Bernie
I sent all remaining [sugary] tea packets back to them.
Now, I notice going over bank statements, they charged me $70 after I canceled my order.
FYI, I never got an initial email confirmation--just a cylinder of packets of tea 6 days later.
It had sugar and a baby laxative in it. I called and told them according to my doctor, cannot take that stuff because of health reasons [diabetes]; "no problem."
Boy, there is a major class-action here. Plus EVERYBODY on this thread call the BBB and contact Google, etc .
I'll keep you posted. mel
Suntasia in Clearwater Florida comes to mind...and the FCC shut that "marketing" firm down last year for fraudulent activities. They lost millions but only after making $$$$millions on all sorts of scams!
Call the FCC and have ULGT investigated and ask that we all be reimbursed. Try $70 for 6 months now! Talk about PISSED! IMB
I have read several complaints regarding this "Ultra Lean Tea", I first purchase the product at an intial price of $4.95 for a month. As far as I am concerned, I paid and recieved one month's worth. Well about 2 weeks later the "company" charged me for an amount that has been repeated on several message boards $69.87. I never agreed to such a charge and I protested with my bank, and I am currently going through the process. It wasn't a week later that the same thing happened, and there is not contact number for this company. I am very aggravated, can anyone help?
When it says you get ripped, they mean you get ripped off, their 14 day trial is not exactly a trial because after 14 days they charge you 69.87 for the whole 30 day supply (incl the 14 day trial). so if you order your free trial be sure to call them before the 14th day.
On top of that, i haven't lost a pound.
