Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

I agree with everyone that I've read here... I've been on the phone on hold for over 15 minutes and still no one would answer. I am not happy with the product as I thought it was $5.95 for the first order and then they would start sending you a monthly order and bill your to your acct ... No ... I got a big $69.95 bill instead.
Now I'm trying to cancel this ... there is no other way except being on hold over the phone ...but yet you can order on line.
If anyone has any help to get through this company to cancel ... please email me. thanks

After accepting a free trial offer and speaking to a rep from UltraLean, I was still charged the nearly $67.00 for the product and I asked to let me try the product first before charging my card for a second shipment--which was never received. Can not find any contact information on the company on the packaging.

I am so glad I came across this site! I have been seeing that advertisement over and over again on Facebook and decided to research it. However, most search engines google, yahoo, etc. will show all of the good reviews first. I kept looking for a bad review and it took me a while to finally find this page. I knew something was fishy. I hope Facebook will realize that this bad type of advertisement will hurt them. It makes me very happy to know that there are real people out there who have tried this bull-crap tea stuff and are starting to put them out of business!

I am so upset about this. I'm angry with myself for falling for this scam too.

I went to their web page after being billed for $69.00 (I cancelled this order a week ago, and my credit card was charged today) and copied every page, then called their customer service and recorded the conversation. One of their supervisors called me back and I recorded that conversation too. The information on their website has changed just from last week. Oh and now the "Leader Page" is calling itself a "Blog" instead of an advertisement. And they have the audacity to write the statement "Satisfaction Guaranteed 100%. I NEVER recieved an email "confirmation" with any contact information.

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Right now you can enjoy a full 30 day pack of Ultra Lean Green with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!

Try it today, You have nothing to lose!
This last statement was cut and pasted from their website.

Well, one month ago my card was charged $70 adn because it didnot have the exact amount i was charged a fee of $25. I called the number next to the transaction too many times and was always on hold and did not get a chance to talk to anybody. I did not sign up for refills. Last week I received a box of Ultra Green Tea. This is so worng, I did not even know what I was charged for til I got the package. I am glad to see that i am not the only one suffering, but this is gross.

I want to be careful of my wording here as their website and Terms Of Service seem to change often, and I don't want to make any statements that may come back to haunt me. I'm not going to bore you with all the gory details, but I will try to fill you in on the Highlights, if you continue to read this email.

#1. The 14 day free sample period starts immediately when a person places their order. So if I place an order on the 14th, and with shipping and handling it takes 8 days to arrive I now have 6 days to try the product. If they are not called by you on the 28th your credit card is then charged for the full amount of the "free" product. (Close to $70.00)

#2. Even though they guarantee "100% satisfaction", they do not stand by this guarantee. I called their customer service numbers (there were two when I made my purchase (one to cancel the product, the other for the "weight loss club" that you unknowingly sign up for when you order their "free trial") ) But there seems to be only one number now. (Incidentally their TOS (terms of service) indicates that the purchaser is also responsible to pay for any of the sister/affiliate company charges incurred as a result of your accepting this "free trial" which is close to another $70.00 a month) and to cancel the product and services that were billed to my credit card. Their customer service rep. became snarly and abusive. One of the comments she made was "You don't get anything for free, that charge is for the product you kept". (IE the "free trial" product)

3. When you decide that you have been duped and go to the credit card issuer (your credit card company) to register a dispute you find that your manner of recourse has been taken away because also in the TOS they take this right away from you. There is a clause that states that you may not have your credit card issuer back charge them, and that they are the only authority (the Lean Green Tea Company) who may authorize a refund, and this is at their discretion.

4. It also states in their TOS that it takes from 60 to 90 days to be able to determine it their product is of benefit to a consumer. So if you go to them and request a refund because you are not satisfied that the product works, they will deny your request because you have not given their product enough time to work.

Ok, I'm sorry. I seem to have gotten off the mark a bit. Please have someone try this "free offer" and see what happens. Make sure that each web page is copied (as they change often).

It seems to me that there is far too much legal talk for this to be a valid offer. I regret that I didn't look into this more carefully before I was foolish enough to fall for this. They are not only taking people's money, they are taking their trust.

For all of you who have been sucked into the underhanded, dirty business dealings of false advertisement and a sea of itty bitty writing that constitutes ULTRA LEAN GREEN, I feel your pain.

I too have gotten overly excited over a "Risk Free 30 Day Trial +s&h".

But here's the deal, DO NOT send the bottle back marked "Return to Sender" and just throw it in your mailbox thinking that they will get it. Oh, sure, they will get it, but you will never know that. Then you will get charged for nothing, and they will have their product returned to them, but deny it ever made it there.

Now, I take full responsibility for my dive into an offer that looked too good to be true, and not reading the fine print. However, just because I f**ked up the first time doesn't mean I should continue to get scammed by a company that just wants my money without any regard to the customer.

Why wouldn't they send you any information/paperwork about the specifics with the initial product? Why no paperwork? Why so frign underhanded?

This company prey's on the foolish to rape you over and over again until you are forced to cancel your bank/credit card account. They claim to cancel your order, but oops, it didn't happen and guess what, your stuck paying another $69.87 for a crappy product. A product you just wanted to try, not get married to.

They claim that "sure, we'll give you your money back, just throw it in the mail without a tracking number, we'll credit you!" Then you ask, "why am I still being charged, I sent it back" ULTRA LEAN says "sorry, we never got it!"

I truly believe that anyone on these complaint forums that is sticking up for the company is infact a representitive of the company. Who the hell is okay with paying that much money for a tea supplement that taste's like [censored] and doesn't work?

If you are as outraged as I am, google the Better Business Bureau of Utah. There is a link in the middle of the page to report companies such as this. This is BAD BUSINESS and it needs to be stopped! Tell everyone and anyone on myspace/especially facebook what the deal is.

Bottom line: This company needs to practice responsible business practice. From the advertising right down to the return of the product.

OMG! I just finished cancelling mine too. I can't believe they would do that. Here I am thinking that all I was getting was a months supply for the s&h price & figured if it worked then I'll order more, but never did I think that they would continue to send me the crap. Thank you so much for posting the number. The girl really tried to get me to stay with it all and just pay 35 bucks a month, but hell NO. I'm so pissed at myself for falling for it... I just found out that I was enrolled in a fitness training service as a result of a weight reduction pill trial offer that I accepted where they offered to send a trial and all I had to pay was the shipping charge. To-date I have not received any such trial offer but I do have this charge and this service that I did not request nor did I approve. Does anyone know if the Utah Consumer Protection Division is taking action against this company?

I canceled my card with my bank. I was also charged $69.87 and caught it while it was still pending and told the bank I did not autherize this transacation. They didn't eve wait 14 days after I place my order. They charged my acount 10 days after I placed my order. Yeah 10 days. I freaked when I caught that. So canceled my card and got a new one. They Do not send you any thing to cancel. No papers come with it. I didn't even get any emails.

I too was ripped off from this company. I went to the website and changed my mind and did not order it. However I received a phone call at work (they lifted my information from this website even though I did not order) and asked if I wanted a free sample for 4.95, I said sure and gave them the information. I thought great, I can try this product for only 4.95, see if it works, and make the decision to oder more. WRONG! Not only is the product substandard and doesn't work, I was then billed an additional 69.97 14 days later. I called the number on the charge on my account to ask what the charge was for. They told me that by ordering I had enrolled in some membnership that was recurent and I had to pay each month. I was furious, I told them to cancel this and never charge my card again. I never received anymore product, but they also did not reverse the charge on my account, so I paid 69.97 + 4.95 shipping for this "free" sample of 30 small packets of green tea which does not even work to curb your appetite as advertised...Talk about fraud! I asked for their corporate number, and lo and behold they are not allowed to give it out. Go figure..

I too was scammed. I'm just sorry i didn't google it before trying this crap! I tried calling and i also got some BS about their offices being closed. Luckily, I saw another number [protected] and called. I was albe to get throught, spoke with Autumn ID#232 and she canceled the order; i will call and check again to make sure. I told her that i was lied too and that i was very unhappy with their product. She seemed not to give a damn! Oh well, i will be calling my credit card too; they will not be getting any more of my money!

Hi there guys. I wish that I had read the terms of agreement more thoroughly, but I did know that there would be a charge at some point if I didn't cancel. I thought it would be 14 days after I received the product, not 14 days after ordering the product. I was able to find their phone number just fine, and gave them a call. I waited on hold for maybe 5 minutes which wasn't bad. I asked the lady if I would be able to cancel and try it again another time, and she told me that she could refund the $70 and lower my monthly payment to $31. I like the Green Tea and it does feel like I have more energy, if it starts to help me lose weight I'll let everyone know. I don't mind paying the $31 a month for something that is at lest helping me a little, but for those of you who are reading this and haven't ordered it yet, PLEASE make sure you cancel it right after you order it if you don't want more to come and only want to try the sample without getting charged. Also, always read before you buy!

I ordered the sample for $5.95 on 10/07, received it and was totally disgusted with it - Horrible taste. Got my CC bill and was charged the initial $5.95, but 15 days later I was charged $74.06 more. Just called CC company to dispute and was told they have charged me another $74.06 on 11/06. Called the [protected] # for the UltraLeanGreen and the young lady was very rude and basically said too bad, so sad - never mentioned the second charge to me and gave me a confirmation # for cancelling. Will have to wait and see what my CC company can do. Really, really angry about this and believe this company should have to refund all money they have taken from trusting consumers and then have their business site closed down.

OMG! 4months later I was finally was able to cancel the auto send/ auto bill my credit card. Worst than that a very suspicious woman called me wanting my credit card # claiming I never paid for the 1st shipment. I refused to give it to her stating it was billed to my credit card and requested a to cancel a membership I had no idea I was apart of and that I had not lost any weight. The lady told me I needed to drink more tea, lol. I insisted that my account be canceled, 3 months later the tea were still coming. I'm not sure what anyone else experenced but I havn't lost a pound!

I also was deceived by this scam too. I did order it thinking it was the $4.95 for the sample. Later on I saw that it was $69.95 or something. So I immediately canceled. I blamed myself for not reading the fine print. A few days later I saw another $4.95 charge on my account from Ultra Lean. I kind of let it slide and figured it was only $4.95 and I'll get to it when I had some extra time. Next I saw a $19.95 charge on my account from some fit-fac.com; I had no idea what this was. I called the company explaining to them that I had never signed up for their services and don't know how I got signed up for their services. They explained to me that it is a service that comes along with the Ultra Lean and that it says it in the fine print. Then they also discovered that I had two accounts which would explain the 2nd $4.95 charge on my account ( 2nd shipping charge) So I had this fit-fac.com place cancel both accounts on their end (I'm still stuck paying for it). Next I called Ultra Lean to see what the heck was going on with this mysterious 2nd account that I had been getting charged for. Of course the have "no record". I really have no idea what is going on. All I know is this company is making lots of money off scamming people and something needs to be done. I filed a fraudulent complaint with my bank since Ultra Lean is not willing to figure out what the hell they are charging me for. Funny how they can charge me for product I never received, or signed up for a second time. Anyone else been charged from the fit-fac.com place also?

Unfortunately, I too agree with all these complaints about the Ultra Lean Green product. I ordered the free trial, but how true the saying, "nothing in life is free". Or "buyer beware". I have tried contacting this company to cancel my subscription but could not get thru to them, before my account was debited $79.95. After the debit went thru my account, I finally got thru to a rep at the company. He advised me that the $79.95 was for the "Free Trial" bottle, and that I only got 13 days for free (the extra packs within the free trial bottle). What a rip off! He then tried to sell me extra at a reduced price of $39.95. I informed him that I wanted everything cancelled and that I had actually cancelled my debit card this am and have gotten a new one, just to assure myself I would not have any more charges from them. It was a lot of trouble to go to the bank and get issued a new debit card, but at least I won't get charged by them again. Please do not order this product. If you have problems getting thru to them by phone, please tell your bank to block payment from this company. I was assured that my account has been cancelled as of today, but I do not trust them to do what they say. Buyer beware!

I had the same problem. In fact, I called the very next day and cancelled before they even sent the stuff. I asked the man (customer service) that answered the phone if my order had been processed yet and he said "no". I was still charged and still have not received the stuff. I never received confirmation nor a return call. You are correct! This is a rip-off. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Credit Bureau. Maybe I can get my credit card credited back. Please file your complaint with the BBCB.

I also called and signed up for the "free trial." They charged me shipping and handling and before I even received the product, charged me the $69 plus. Three days later, they took out ANOTHER $69 plus out of my account. I finally did receive one bottle of the product, but actually paid for two bottles. Of course, I called the company and complained and demanded a refund of the second $69. However, I never received a second bottle, nor a refund of my money. I eventually called again and cancelled the account and again demanded a refund of the $69 plus dollars that they "stole" from me. I am still waiting for the refund -- I have called them three times, and will keep calling them until I receive my refund. DO NO ORDER THIS PRODUCT, THE COMPANY IS A RIPOFF! I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

I tried to post this earlier and it disappeared while filling out the details. First off, all those with Ultra Lean Green scam issue - TAKE THE TIME to fill out the online FTC complaint form at www.ftc.gov! Nothing will change and people will continue to be scammed as you and I have been if those of us do not take a couple of minutes to report them! You are welcome to reference my complaint in the " details" section that I filed with them today - # [protected].

I, too, ordered the "sample 30 day shipment - 100% guarantee" on Oct. 8th. I didn't receive the shipment until Oct. 2oth. The fine print states the consumer has 14 days in which to try out the product before automatically being charged for an autoshipment. Well, I received my trial shipment on 10/20, and only three days later, the company charged me $74.24 for an autoship order - that I have yet to receive! I phoned the 866 number today and the girl explained that since I hadn't cancelled the order ship during my trial period, that was why Iw as charged the autoship fee and I was "actually paying for the trial shipment they sent me". That makes no sense - the auto ship is advertised for s/h costs ONLY. The future shipments are based on whether you don't cancel prior to your 14 day trial period - a trial period doesn't begin until you actually receive the product. I demanded a credit, explained that I had to cancel the ATM debit card I used for the trial shipment and they'd have to issue to me an actual check. She put me on hold for a few mins, came back on the line and said I'd have to ask my bank to reactivate my old ATM card "for deposits only" so they can credit me. Well, with my bank anyway, once an ATM debit card is cancelled, that's it - there is no reopening! But I knew as soon as she came out with that response that they'd never issue a credit at all.

SO REPORT THESE JAGS! Nothing will ever happen and others like us will continue to be scammed if those whom already have been don't fill out the proper online forms on the Federal Trade Commission site! PLEASE take a moment to do so - wouldn't you want someone prior to you to have done the same so you never got taken for any money to begin with? ~C

Same thing here. I got my "free trial" then a month later another one showed up in the mail so I thought it may have been an accident. I recently moved for school and my statements arent sent to me anymore and the city I now live in doesnt have my bank there so I though the atm's were wrong in telling me my balance until I finally decided to come home and see that a lovely $74 was taken out. I tried to call but they were closed so I suppose I will have to wait until tomorrow but. I havent opened the tea so maybe they will take it back and if they dont I plan to raise hell. Not cool.

I am quite frustrated. this company sends out a free trial, but then rejects a return, as it is already opened. They also lied to me and told me a refund had been issued, but that it was taking 8-10 business days. On the 10th day, I called again and someone new told me that I was never issued a refund. I feel that this company stole $69.87 from me.

I sent an email to the people at Oprah.
I encourage you all to send a complaint to the BBB, copy paste the link below.
