Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

Just received another jar of this "Ultra Lean Green Tea" that I did NOT order. Not looking forward to watching another hickup in my debit card. Trying to get in touch with the company. At least this time I was able to leave a message. I hope they call me back.

Always check for complaints on the internet before you order
FREE or any stuff. It is easy to find complaints if there any.

The package I received didn't have their info on it. Just the name. Today I came home and went to check my bank account to find it 69.78 short...I am sooo ticked off. I canceled with this number...thankyou!

I hope people find the truth about this site rather than get scammed...ooohhh!

I ordered the first one and it didn't work, so did not order another but received one anyway. Can I cancel the charge on my visa?

Internet advertisement offered a thirty day supply for $4.95 plus shipping and handling with the option to cancel any further shipments withing 14 days of receipt of order. None of the web addresses allow correspondence and there is no phone number available for their "Pana Labs, PO Box 2003, Riverton, Utah, 84065" address, as per directory assistance. I simply want to cancel any further shipments/billing and have searched for working email addresses. There are none.

Did you ever get any information on this company and how to stop shipments?

This is a scam plain and simple. I was suspicious when I did not receive an order confirmation by email like other companies. I was billed for shipping & handling and received product 2 weeks after. Just got my CC statement with 2 charges for $69.87 and I have not received any product. Tried calling but office not open as yet. Disputed bothe charges with my CC company. Will see what happens. Tell all of your friends not to fall for this!

Any time I see weight loss claims on a website I always do a search to see if people agree, disagree, etc. I'm so glad I found this site because I definitely won't be ordering from this place. Guess I'll have to lose weight the old fashioned way.

Thanks so much for all of your comments! I wish I had read them before falling for the "Free Trail". But I did call to cancel within an hour after I ordered it (and even called back to be sure they had record of my cancelation) and they assurered me it was canceled and I would not be charged anything nor receive anything in the mail from them. We'll see... but I'll be checking my statements to be sure I don't get charged for anything. These typs of sceme should be against the law! From now on I will definately do research before I order anything!

I also ordered the free green tea trial, paid the $4.95 shipping charge and called the same day it arrived and cancelled my membership, but they still charged me $59.95 under the name SHW. I called my credit card company and had the charge removed, but now SHW/Living Lean is disputing the $59.95 charge. This company is defintely not practicing fair business procedures and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau Online. www.complaints.bbb.org

Ok, I'm always skeptical when it comes to ordering things online, and was cautious when ordering this free day trial, but I thought, hey, maybe this will work and help me loose those last extra pounds. I received my free trial product and then noticed the $69.87 charge on my credit card. Hmm, seems now I'm on an automatic monthly shipment/payment plan when I don't even know if the product works. Since I am in Toronto, Ontario Canada, I called the posted number for Power Tea @ [protected] and spoke to a very nice lady who answered right away. She took my phone number and pulled up my file. After verification, I explained my reason for calling and she credited my credit card right away, no questions asked, no problems! She said that people (in Canada) were getting charged without receiving the products because the US Customs was holding onto the orders for investigation. She said that Power Tea has gotten that all straightened out and customers will now receive their products quicker. Otherwise, what was happening was that their system charged us on the 15th day. So, no big deal, they will credit your credit card right away. If I receive a shipment, I just refuse delivery, it gets sent back to them and I will never be charged. She assured me the shipments will stop too and was very apologetic! Remember, its not HER fault when you call in to cancel. She's just doing a job like the rest of us!

This free sample of ULGT is not free, as other complaints by other people have made, I have also been charged the $69.87 on my credit card and was not authorized ! Now I see the lists of other complaints by customers, what a rip off!

I order the $4.95 sample, for a 30 day trial, and my credit card was billed $69.

This kind of abuse is appalling -- I hope this comment stops someone -- anyone -- from ordering this product.

By the way, it tastes horrific.

I have placed an order on 06.08.08 called and cancelled in less than 24 hours customer service representative told me it is canceleld failed to notify that shipping was charged already, even though I said I do not want any charges. She confirmed I won't be charged anything, today I saw the shipping charge called and spoke to Olga she said apparantelly I was supposed to ask for refund. Nothing on website saying that shipping charges charged right away. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WEBISTE. REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Just ordered the product and right after I clicked on Submit Order, I saw the terms and conditions below that. Read them and freaked out at the notion that I would be billed $69.87 in 14 days and another $69.87 in 30 days and then $69.87 a month after that. Doesn't that mean I'm essentially paying $140 for the first month with no free 14-days? Called immediately and spoke to Niara and explained that putting the terms and conditions in small type AFTER the Submit Order button (most reputable web sites will put that information first and ask you to click on it before you can place the order). She pulled my account up, cancelled it for me and gave me a cancellation number. I will be scrutinizing my credit card bill when it arrives. I really wanted to give the product a fair chance but these terms are ridiculous - the "free" sample is a worst deal than just buying a month's supply! Oh and if you call and cancel, be prepared to wait on hold for a LONG time.

This is where I reported the Ultra Green Company & we should get everyone else to file a complaint too. I also reference this web site & asked them to read it to see that the Ultra green tea company has ripped off many people.

this company is a total rip off. And i am soo glad that there is this website with thier contact information. they have now charged me over $120 on my credit card saying that there is nothing that they can do about it. i am now afraid that i will not get the '2nd' shipment in time to send it back to get my refund. When you have no money to spend and someone decides to rip you off like that... it's pretty much the worst thing that can happen. All in all i am rightfully pissed off!

Your comments freaked me out. I just received my 14 day trial and called the 866 number to confirm all the information written above. I talked with a great rep named Aaron, who extended my 14 days. He checked my account and explained everything about the automatic account set-up after the 14 days. Even though I did not read all the fine print, I expected that something was going to happen after the 14 days. I guess, however, that a lot of people really believe that you can get something for nothing. In any case, I am going to try the product.

By the way, thank you for these postings. I didn't seen anywhere under terms and agreements that there would be charges to my account. I was able to cancel within the 14 day period. I talked to a sales agent and as long as you cancel during your trial period, Ultra lean was accomodating.

Thanks to all of you.

Thanks so much for all the posts. I was able to cancel my membership before being charged the $69.95.
I called the number, was put on hold forever and assured that I would still receive the trial. I then called the easy save and american leisure to cancel those trial memberships as well. After I placed the order, I just kept having an uneasy feeling. And when I began to research the sight and found so many complaints, I realized that my instinct was right.
I recommend buying green energy tea fusion from Whole Foods. It's about the same price, you buy it from the store and so far it's helped me loose weight- not that I'm trying to plug a product or start a scam. Again thanks for the heads up. Too bad this was a scam; seeing a reference to Ophra encouraged me to take a chance on a trial offer.

I signed up for this nonsense too...I don't even know if the stuff works, but I was looking for a site where you could get refills or something, and only then did I realize that there are tons of different URLs for this same product (a bad sign) and that there are no other links on the site except for the one that lets you order (also bad...you'd think you could read detailed testimonials). SO glad I googled and found this page...I cancelled my "subscription" immediately (though it only took a few minutes on hold) and am calling my bank to block any withdrawals they might try to steal. I also reported the company to the Better Business Bureau...more people should do this to draw attention to the scam. You can do it really fast online, www.bbb.org. It's worth your time.

I too had a hard time finding who these people are. When you receive your product you don't get any directions or even a receipt. Yet on the 15th of the month they hit your account for $69.87. For the month of August they have hit me 2 times now...2 weeks apart! I was able to find a phone number and an address. I tried to call the number on Sunday and all I get is, Please hold the line we will be right with you". I held on for 20 minutes and hung up. Now I will send them a letter telling them what I think of their business practices...and billing twice in the same month. If I get no satisfaction from there then I will report them to my bank and have payments stopped immediately. On the website it states: MONEY BACK GUARANTEE: IT AT ANY TIME YOU ARE UNSATISFIED WITH OUR PRODUCT, CONTACT US AT: [protected] AND WE WILL GIVE YOU A 100% REFUND. Good luck trying to get through!

Here is the phone # again: [protected]
Here is the address for returns: Address: Attn Returns Department, PO Box 1158, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062

The sample I bought was six dollars (and something-cents) and when I saw that I had been charged 69 bucks I was upset - so the "free trial" does begin an automatic sign up for their product.

However, when I called - angry - I got a human being on the other end right away, and he didn't argue or try to change my mind about a thing, he simply told me that he would have the charge reversed asap.

I checked my statement a week later, and the charge had, indeed, been reversed.

Now I have my sample and if I like it and want to order more, I can :)

Don't fret, they will give your money back. It's a ### thing to sign you up automatically, but it is easy to get it back - simply ask.

I purchased a 14 day trial - paying 6.95 shipping only...I was then charged another $69.87 to my credit card and I had not even received the product yet. I did finally get it in the mail and then my credit statement came and saw two charges for this on separate day. I want my money back - what a rip off... I have only used it for 4 days now and have noticed nothing that it claims- no extra energy, no weight loss...does it even work? Sher

Thanks for all the above postings. I was surprised to see the charge on my account today after also missing the teeny tiny print. The lady stopped all future charges and shipments but refused to credit the initial charge. After reading the above comments, I called again and got somebody else. I informed him that I got the shipment late and was not happy with the product. He refunded everything. I will will keep my fingers crossed as I look for the refund! I hope other people are smart enough to not even order in the first place. I also received TONS 0f spam after placing the order. Good thing I set up a temporary email address and didn't use my home one!

I ordered on August 12, then called and cancelled 10 minutes later after realizing what a scam this is. I was told at the time that I wouldn't be charged the $4.95. I called again on August 14 to confirm it was cancelled. Just checked my credit card and I was charged the $4.95 on August 15.

I finally did get in touch with someone today. I also called my bank and they gave me credit for some of the charges this company made. The woman I spoke to this moring asked me if I had read the Terms And Agreement...I didn't lie, I told her no. Then she just became very pissy with me. I told her they had hit me 3 times for the month of August...$69.87...she said they hit me once...I said it is on my statement 3 times...8/18 being the latest. I told her I didn't want the product anymore and I don't want to be charged anymore. She offered me a deal to stay on the product...get it for half price! I said I didn't want it at all anymore...just stop taking my money! But she did not offer to give me any credits for the money they took this month. Now I will call my bank back and see what I can do again. I don't trust this company...all the do is lie to you! Maybe I should call back tomorrow and get someone different...and see if I can get my money back..at least some of it anyway. Any ideas, people?

I called to cancell...they told me I could send it back and they will issue a refund...

Now I'm trying to call to confirm it's cancelled...and I'm getting a high-pitched squeel like old-style dial up internet!

No one ever answered. I will call Monday first thing. They better refund eveything. I will have to contac attorney general's office and credit card dispute. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. DON"T BUY IT IS A SCAM!

I got in on this "deal" about 2 months ago.
Well, I still have not got my money back
and the quote unquote supervisor at the call center or one of them her name is alicia deliberately lied to me. and told me there was no one else i could talk to to get my problem straightened out and there was nothing more they could do for me. it was out of there hands. at this point they have their refused and returned product which by the way they say they have no way to confirm because they dont have it posted on there records. that it was returned...
My sister works for the post office and she mailed it herself.
This is the way my situation went

The offer then was pay postage of 4.95 for a free trial
but if you bought the a bottle now the price was 34.95
i did not want something i did not try first especially over the internet. so i unchecked the small print check box that said i wanted it
i approved the 4.95 but guess what i could not print out the invoice
so ok, then i checked to see what was posted on my bank, i used my visa back debit card.
you guessed it they charged me the 34.95 ANYWAY... I WAS FURIOUS BECAUSE I ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT.. I HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON. so i get the telephone number on my bank statement and call them.. raising hell, and i was told to
refuse and resend... and then they would reverse the charges
all of them. in the mean time i dispute the charges with my bank
and they temporaarily took the charges off.
i waited a month thinking it was all over with
then i get a letter from my bank saying that they sent them a letter confirm the charges.. after i made the complaint
I WAS FURIOUS...I CALL THEM AGAIN...3 times and they confirmed they received the product back...on thos 3 occasions
they apologized and said it would take 8 to 10 days to reverse
after 15 dAYS I CALLED BACK...THEY APOLOGIZED AGAIN
I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT
AFTER A LOT OF RUN AROUND AND THEY COULD NOT BE CONTACTED. ALICIA FINALLY SAID THE LADY THAT HANDLE THE REFUNDS WOULD BE IN LATER AFTER LUNCH AND SHE WOULD PERSONALLY SEE TO IT IT WOULD BE FORCED BACK THROUGH
3 TO 5 DAYS IT SOULD SHOW UP
5 DAYS LATER STILL NOTHING
I CALLED BACK AND TOLD ALICIA IT WAS NOT TAKEN OFF OF MY ACCOUNT. SHE SAID WELL WANDA BECAUSE YOU
DISPUTED THE CHARGE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO.ETC AND THAT THERE WAS NO ONE ELS I COULD TALK TO
LIE LIE LIE... I SAID SO YOU HAVE YOUR PRODUCT AND MY MONEY AND YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT
SHE SAID THEY CANNOT PROVE I SENT IT BACK...
I WANTED TO JUMP THROUGH THE PHONE AND WRING HER LYING NCK... SO I COOLED OFF AND SAID... I AM GOING TO CALL BACK AND ASK TO A RANDOM OPERATOR HOW THEY CONFIRM THAT THE PACKAGE WAS SENT BACK IN ORDER TO APPROVE MY REFUND...I TOLK HER WHAT THE SUPERVISOR
SAID AND SHE SAID, MS HARRIS, WE DO HAVE A MANAGER,
YOU CAN TALK TO... WELL... HE LOOKED INTO IT AND I CONFIRMED THE WHOLE STORY TO HIM ACCORDING TO ALICIA, HE SAID I DONT KNOW WHY SHE WOULD SAY THAT BECAUSE ACCORDING TO WHAT HE HAS IN FRONT OF HIM
NOTHING WAS EVEN ATTEMPTED TO BE FORCED THROUGH AND HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT PERSONALLY...
I HAVE TIL WEDNESDAY WHICH WILL BE THE FIFTH DAY
...I AM ALLREADY. PREPARED TO DEAL WITH THE POSTMASTR WITH THEM FOR MAIL FRAUD... THERE IS A PROCESS THEY HAVE TO GO THROUGH TO CONFIRM THE DELIVERY OF A REFUSED PRODUCT... AND IF THEY DONT DO THAT...AND TAKE YOUR MONEY... IT IS MAIL FRAUD...
... I AM HERE TODAY JUST TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT I CANT INCLUDE IN MY REPORT TO THE POST MASTER...I AM TOLD BY MY SISTER... THAT THEY CAN EVEN EFFECTIVELY SHUT THEIR BUSINESS DOWN.
OH YES, I TALKED TO THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT OF MY BANK
AND THEY SAID IT WAS THEIR WORD AGAINST MINE.
BUT SINCE MY SISTER WORKS FOR THE POST OFFICE AND SHE HERSELF KNOWS THE WHOLE STORY AND SHE SENT IT BACK HERSELF SHE IS FURIOUS AND PLANS TO TAKE IT TO THE HIGHER UPS IN HER POST OFFICE WHERE SHE SENT IT FFROM
ANYONE WISHING TO CONTACT ME
ABOUT THIS...WANJEAN2@AOL.COM I HAT LIARS AND CHEATS... AND I WILL PURSUE THIS...TO THE END... AND I AM WILL TO HELP OTHERS WITH MY TESTIMONY OF MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE PEOPLE... I FEEL LIKE I WAS MUGGED...THEY COUNT ON THE FACT MOST PEOPLE WILL GIVE UP THE GOAT... GOOD LUCK WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS ON WEDNESDAY AUG 27...AND IF MY MONEY IS BACK. IN MY ACCOUNT...
