I purchased a multiple 10 year leather protection plan. However, the company was not compliant with sending me the leather cleaner quarterly to maintain the leather and I had to eventually purchase the leather cleaner off amazon. Customer service was terrible. I would leave messages asking for more conditioner with no response after multiple attempts. I do not recommend purchasing this 10 year warranty with this company, I have been very disappointed in the purchase and will not make that mistake again.

5 Year Total Care VIP PET Protection Plan
My parents bought a new couch and bought this pet protection plan specifically because they have 2 dogs and wanted protection in case the dogs caused damage to their couch. They were reassured that their couch would be covered so they bought this coverage. In the "What is covered" section of the brochure, it lists "damage caused by pets". Well they recently put in a claim due to pet damage and guess what isn't covered "the damage caused by pets"...make it make sense. What was the point of the insurance if they won't cover what it states it covers in the brochure. Extremely disappointed my parents sent money on this insurance for literally no reason. Do not buy. This insurance is to literally steal money and to cover nothing. In fact, if you are planning to buy furniture and they offer this, I'd completely stay away as the products are probably garbage which is why they offer this scam insurance.
Desired outcome: Stop lying to people saying you offer pet damage when you do not.
Couches claim denied
I filed a claim for damages done by my dog who escaped from the cage. The only care for one damage in specific. My claim was denied for accumulation of damage. This was unintentional no way i could of stop this. I try to work it out but no one is listening. This is the whole point of having protection plan. I would never tentionally sit and decided oh let me ruin my couch. I pay good money for my furniture. I got it specifically because I have a kid and pet. Lyft chair
I bought a Lift chair from one of your stores. They say the parts were under warranty, but they wanna charge me for labor a $100. What's wrong with the chair is the controller wires are coming out of the controllers, the chair is no longer lifting is lifting or moving in any form, And there is a there's a hole in the fabric in the foot rest.. Is it fear that they are charging Me something that is under warranty? If my husband works on it himself will it still be under warranty for the parts?
Desired outcome: Fix completely immediately as I as I am handicapped.
Furniture warranty
Submitted a claim 2 weeks back for stain on furniture and warranty is covered by ultrashield, company bought by ServeCo. Submitted online form with all details, receipts and pictures but got no response for 2 weeks (they claim to get back in 3 days). Called yesterday and provided my info to customer service who mentioned someone named Bright is processing my claim and will get back to me yesterday. Nothing happened so called again today and after getting my info they put me on hold for 10 min and then they disconnected the call. Any further call is going on hold.
One of the worst customer service
Update: After couple of days trying to reach out to them, I got an email denying my claim as they do not cover accumulated stain! It was not an accumulated stain (they made it up) and they do not provide info while buying warranty on what they cover and what they do not. Furniture store that sold us their warranty mentioned they cover everything but there is no published record or document that details their coverage (checked their website). Do not buy Ultrashield or ServeCo furniture warranty, as they will just deny after making it extremely hard to contact them and without providing any coverage contract details. Stay away!

Spoke with someone I let them know that my chest was scratched and they said someone would call spoke with a very rude guy. Name Andy diction after asking to speak to who was over him which is Shad Riley he stated these. Mr. Riley doesn't take calls he is the boss and he take the calls so he doesn't have to bragged about speaking with the ceo they. Told me they would replace my chess and sent a drawer as well as him telling me that because my chest was scratch bring it in the house that it wouldn't be replaced I'm furious at this company l. I'll never use them again

I went away for a camping weekend when I came home I noticed my cats had scratched the arms of my couch and love seat (one arm on each) and had puked on it and they will not honor my warranty I paid for which clearing indicates rips and tears which is exactly what cat scratches do to a couch not to mention the stuffing in the back rest parts have gone flat
lazyboy recliner
purchased warranty pet plus from lazyboy on a leather recliner approx 8 months later saw a tear / cut on lower seat cushion after dog jumped off of it after 2 weeks of going back and forth they told me not covered as i did not know how it happened . contacted lazyboy ceo office they called serveco and told me that serveco says not covered due to unknown and pet damage. told lazyboy they sold me pet plus policy and sent them a copy showing pet damage was covered lazyboy stated they would contact selling lazyboy store and serveco and get back to me as of this date serveco now says its covered and to forward them pics of tag on recliner which i did. waiting foe their new response they suck lazy boy very reputable but dont buy the warranty

Bought a sectional from surplus freight in Calgary February 2014
Noticed some peeling starting on one side so contacted serveco filed a claim and response we don't cover flaking and I responded back with warranty card which states the coverage. I've emailed serveco many times but come back with no repair or replacement etc, very poor service and wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Surplus freight should be ashamed to offer this warranty. I contacted the surplus freight and still got nowhere with this problem. Thought I would try emailing before I go to bbb and local media. Let me know if you need more info.
lazy boy recliner
I purchased a Lazy Boy Recliner as my husband was in the hospital having just had bypass surgery and need something that reclined to sit/sleep in once he got home. I was encouraged to purchase the ultra shield warranty so if there where any stains or rips in the funiture they would fix it. I have never purchased a warranty on furniture before, but due to the situation, I thought it was good idea. I was completely wrong! Less than 2 years later the recliner had a hole in the material. (All the other furniture in my house is older than this recliner and none have holes in them.) I call Ultra Shield. After 3 calls, I finally received a call back. They told me to e-mail pictures and the original receipt. I did that very day. They never responded. I resent it 2 more times, no reponse. I called them. They told me I was denied as it was normal wear and tear. Seriously, normal wear and tear!? An $1800 Lazy Boy Recliner should have a hole in it in less than 2 years!? Ultra Shield Warranties are a complete rip off and Lazy Boy should be ashamed to use them! For that matter I will never buy another Lazy Boy product again either. Way to expensive for a shoddy product! I have better furniture in my house from Overstock.com! (No holes in my much older overstock furniture.)
pet insurance on furniture
Do NOT buy the Ultra Shield insurance package. It's a SCAM! They won't cover damage that is more than 20 dollars. They offer pet insurance on your furniture but fail to tell you it doesn't cover any rips, tares, punctures or stains from animals (so basically they offer pet insurance that doesn't cover pets!) Sandy Casler is in charge of claims and is absolutely no help in processing claims, I guess that's to be expected when you choose to work for a company meant to rip people off!

I have been dealing with Mina sorocco for the last 5 months and every time I email her I get the run around .first I was suppose to receive it within 60 to90 days, then I was told I would receive it within a couple of weeks that the checks where processed, waited another month after that then I was told that another company took over and changed banks and the process is slow.its been almost 6 months now this is ridiculous.if the checks where processed 2 months ago I would have received it by now.do I have to get my attorney involved for a lousey $155.00.

Complaint Description:
Ultra Shield has refused to cover the warranty on our leather couch, that was damaged by food spillage. We purchased a leather sectional couch from Lazy Boy, delivered March 28, 2013. The couch is well maintained and in new condition. On July 4th a guest at our home spilled her dish of food (lasagna, salad, with oil/vinegar) on the arm. (We do not know how long it sat there). The damage, after carefully blotting it off, as the contract states, left a stained and a pealed area on the arm. We called Ultra Shield on July 5th, next business day. The runaround began immediately. We sent a picture, the representative said they would not cover it because it looked like wear. There is no wear, the entire couch is like new. The coverage contract reads; Any food or drinks normally consumed by humans. Also, Cracking & pealing. We had pealing from the food; sauce or vinegar . Next they said; it must have been from heat. That is not true. It was caused by the food. We spoke with Leslie, Andrew 7 Jennifer, who all repeated wear or heat.
They initially would not agree to send an inspector. We then got in touch with Sandy Caisler, who agreed to send out an inspector. He came on 7/16/16. First thing he said is he was told it was heat damage from a hot plate. We told him it was food spillage, and we described the food. He seemed to agree that was the cause. We then received a call from Leslie, who said the inspector indicated it was heat damage. She also indicated that we had mentioned that in our first phone call, which was not true. We told them exactly what happened with the food spillage . She repeated statements similar to the previous representatives, playing with words.
The inspector (hired by Shield) and the representatives all recited the same narratives, refusing to honor our contract. The leather protection plan states it covers cleaning and repairs for food and pealing. They are refusing to repair. It is evident that they twist the scenario to fit their noncompliance . We are now victims of their bad business practices and effectively fraud in purchasing this plan that does not follow through. They are masters of twisting words, then the customer is passed around to other representatives who repeat the rehearsed denial. The protection plan is not being followed. We want them to honor this contract, or reimburse us of the $360.00 plus that we spent in good faith to ensure the protection of our couch.
Desired Resolution:
We want the arm repaired or replaced, as the contract promises. If they refuse, we want our payment of the contract for this furniture reimbursed. ($360) They can't have it both ways, take our money and not provide the service. We want Ultra Shield to honor their contract and word! We want their business practices addressed. We would also like the name of the CEO of this company; Ultra shield.
Save your money, They will find a way to exclude problem!

It is impossible to get in touch with Ultra Shield, they say they will call back in two days, When they do and leave a message and I return the call I have to leave a message. I can't sit by my phone all day waiting for their call. They will never pick up when I call, always have to leave a message. It is obvious they don't want to talk to me. They have taken my money and ran with it. THEY ARE THIEVES! I talked to Lazy Boy where I bought the furniture and they said they have had many complaints about Ultra Shield, I hope they have gone with another company. How do they stay in business? I battled with them for months and never got to talk to anyone.

They denied my claim because I didn't report the problem within 5 days of first noticing it. They also kept restating the nature of my complaint to make it sound like I was reporting an uncovered problem. I repeatedly corrected them, to no avail. I purchased the warranty through La-Z-Boy, which I thought was a reputable retailer. I am now taking my complaint directly to the CEO of La-Z-Boy. The only way to stop unethical companies like Ultrashield is to get retailers to stop selling their useless warranties. I would love to see numbers showing what percentage of claims they actually cover as I suspect there is the basis for a class action lawsuit.

Defunct warranty for furniture. Do not buy this warranty. Sold by many furniture companies. They do not solve any issues related to you furniture. They merely try to find a loophole or someway in which to keep from fixing the problem. Save your cash and resources.
I bought a couch and go a stain from some kind of cup or bottle. I'm not sure. My warranty was void supposedly because I could not specify the actual reason the stain happened.

I manage the detail dept at a Naples Auto Dealer and was contacted by a woman from Ultrashield. She started out by saying she would like to send a sample of their product. The product was sent and the parts department stocked the item on the shelves in parts. I later get a phone call and I told her I havent tried it yet and to contact me within a week. At this point, I was unaware that she shipped out a case of the product with one extra can. I then recieve a bill for a substantial amount of money. Upon speaking with her, she got angry and told me she has been doing this for many years and would NOT have forgotten to have mentioned she was sending a case plus the free sample. Do yourself a favor, do not accept the free offer unless you specify that you want only ONE can. Besides the product smells extremely chemically, I have had a few comments made.

I paid nearly $300 for a 10 year warranty for my furniture from this company. Even though I followed the application instructions, kept all necessary documentation and contacted them immediately to file my claim, my claim was denied. The companies position on the matter changed from me not applying the product correctly to the furniture having a "manufacturer defect" to the furniture material not being covered under their warranty.
After months of getting the run around from Ultra Shield I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau only to find out that Ultra Shield hadn't become a member of the BBB until after the initial purchase of my furniture and their warranty therefore the BBB could not support me in litigation. I was, however, advised that the Attorney General Office in the State of Kentucky has a consumer rights and protection division that may pursue matters such as this if multiple similar complaints are filed with the BBB and brought to the attention of the Attorney General.
If you have had a negative experience with Ultra Shield, I urge you to file a complaint with both the BBB and the Attorney General Office of Kentucky. Companies like Ultra Shield should not be allowed to take advantage of consumers and get away with it. File a complaint or contact the BBB at www.bbb.org or by phone at [protected]. I live in Maine and fully agree with your comments regarding Ultra Shield. I've had a complaint in since April 2014 and they are still giving me the run around. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. They sent a furniture repair company over to my house just to look at the skirting on my sofa to say the skirting needs to be replaced because the chemical that Ultra Shield sent me bleached out the skirting. Then I receive a letter from Ultra Shield in the mail stating that because they don't have my phone number the technician who is scheduled to come look at the sofa cannot get hold of me! I called them and informed them that a technician had already been to my house a month ago. They had no record of it. So I had to give them the contact information for the furniture repair guy who showed up at our house in a van with long hair (pretty scary). Anway, as of 7/24/14, Ultra Shield has not received any report from this repair service. I've contacted him in person and have left voicemails and he does not return my call. What is going on Ultra Shield? DO NOT BUY THIS SERVICE WHEN PURCHASING NEW FURNITURE, OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T CARE OR STAND UP TO THEIR SUPPOSEDLY "WARRANTY' SERVICE!

I believe ultra shield to be a scam! I had the same thing happen to me, my furniture (leather) started cracking and peeling after several days of leaving messages (Betty) returned my call and a tech was sent. Was told to wait 5 days before calling them back, when I did call I was told they would not fix my furniture and my warranty was void. I am now filing in small claims court. I also reported them to the BBB. DONT BUY THIS WARRANTY IT IS LIKE THROWING MONEY OUT THE WINDOW!
