even after dealer said that a mechanical seal failure caused the oil leakage out of our transfer case united car care warranty claims its our fault for transfer case damage. vehilce has been seviced every 3000 miles all fluids changed and checked as needed yet these people refuse to warranty and leave us high and dry after you pay$2000 plus dollars for this warranty. I am tired of being ripped off by companys and dealers, something needs to be done with this kind of stuff. they know they got you by the balls cause its going to cost more then what it is to fix it to hire a lawyer and take time off off work. these people are nothing but rip off artist in my books and lower then an actual crooks that comes in behind your back and steal from you cause they pull this stuff right to your face and laugh cause they no they can get AWAY WITH IT.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I totally agree, all they do is take your money and that is it. We have a 02 Impala, paid 1600 for warranty,
the claims manager is accusing our mechanic of lieing about head gasket leak and was very rude and arrogant.
Next week an"adjustor" is going to "come to make sure" we will NEVER ever use this co. again and will let
everyone we know about how they rip you off and are very unprofessional, they dont mind takin your money
but "when you need their help you are on your own" WHY BOTHER!
I want to start a class action law suit on these guys. If you would like to join contact me at Qjeffreys@gmail.com
Nathanbiesek1020@gmail.com one should be done on such a company. Tried dealing with a few claims representatives. An extremely crooked company!
I have filed a lawsuit. I am looking for those willing to fill out affidavits. Contact me at gmees1@live.com
I agree my 06 silverado has been at the dealer for 4weeks, Because of tranny failure and of course united car care agent says im on my own and hung up on me. 36000 miles and the platinum plan. what a joke.
Ashley, a "manager", also hung up on me. That is the lowest form of unprofessionalism. When you call the claims number, the same few people always answer. They are probably all in a 30' x 30' room. Rip off!
Exact same experience for me. I changed my approach from screaming at everyone because they don't care. Started playing nice and now an inspector is headed out to check out my car. Loving all this ammunition regarding lawsuits. Gentlemen above stated they settled with him and paid for everything. I won't let them off the hook out of spite!
Car is sitting at shop with a real seal leak - not that uncommon an issue. They are only paying 40%(ish) of my $1, 200 repair. Don't believe the brochure of the sales man - this contract is absolutely worthless come time to claim. They don't pay reasonable shop rates (though they say they do), don't pay sales tax (what?), and make up other things that I am still trying to work out. What a waste of my $2, 900+ and now $500 deductible. ... WARNING: parts noted in brochure are not necessarily the parts covered in your contract. Take contract home and digest it before you sign it, there are a lot of tricks this contract pulls to leave coverages out. Con Artists, no different than the banks!
i agree 100% too, never ever buy this useless extended warranty
I agree. This company is a rip off. I have had previous extended warranty contracts with other company and I have never been treated so horribly. I bought a 2007 Audi from a chrysler dealership. We were told by the finance manager at the dealership that our finance company would not give us the loan unless we had an extended warranty on it. Found out later by finance company this was not true. The FM at the dealership quickly gave us one they work with and so our hell begins...The check engine light came on 2 weeks after we purchased, o.k. no big deal we have a warranty, not! I called United Car Care and I told them the situation. I told them that I wanted to take my car to an Audi Service Center they said no problem. I found the closest one to my home and was told by the Audi service center that UCC doesn't like to work with them. I called UCC and asked what the problem was and why they didn't give this information to me before I wasted 30 minutes of driving. They guy was so rude...he said we can't read your mind, we didn't know where you were taking it? I asked him if this was the only Audi Service center in the state of Washington they didn't work with and they said yes..DUH! Why wouldn't they tell me this when I originally called, like, sure, you can take it to any Audi Service Center, but this one? Is customer service that hard? So, after finding another service center 1 HOUR AWAY, I am told that the manifold runner needs to be replaced and my warranty doesn't cover it. FML! DO NOT BUY UNITED CAR CARE EXTENDED WARRANTY! On top of all this when I did receive the Warranty no information was given on what was and wasn't covered. If I HAD been given more detailed information I would have never paid 3, 000 for a warranty that might cover a wiper blade. There are other Warranty services out there that are great. United Car Care is not one of them! Lesson learned the hard way. And yes, my bank will be getting their money back for this ridiculous warranty!
Out of curiousity...were any of you told you could get a refund on the warranty if it was not used?...
Just so you will know this is a scam also. By the time they prorate the contract due to miles driven and time of contract you get nothing back.
DO NOT BUT this I have the best package available a brand new car and they have blown me off quick to take your money just as quick to come up with every excuse to not fix it or cover it
Crooked
Don't forget to read between the lines Wait a sec, they want your $ before u read or sign anything and they can call u back but claim they cannot, They don't inspect your vehicle and just ask u for the vin and mileage If u actually got something besides brick walls when your whip brakes down, Insurance fraud would follow quick and I'm guessing there banking on those idiots They're pretty slick, semi interrogators but u can't manipulate the manipulator ! Nice try though, made them stay late to stay late I'll post how to get there money if u can be slick enough I'm still waiting for the police Wait, I'll just warn the town via radio & paper, lets not catch these guys and drain there bank account for a change, five words for ya, prepay visa, mastercard or vanillareload Whats in your wallet ?
Should really have done a google on this before I commited $3000 to them. Pretty damn slick like Rizzocach said. They didn't disagree that they were NOT from Honda Care and probably my mistake for getting all my mail mixed up. They warrantied my car 1 whole year before my Honda Care was even over. And while I was on the phone, I saw this site and told them to reverse the charges and they wouldn't. So, immediately doing a credit card dispute.
Crooks, they need to be shut down and thrown in jail for scamming. Paid for platinum protection and they won't even fix the ujoint that is supposed to be covered under their most basic coverage. The brochure saus they cover it, when you call they don't cover anything!
They called and talked to my boss. She bought it without us looking it up first. She didn't realize she still had a warranty on her van. They told her she didn't. Now we just called them to cancel the contract, within 4 hours of her buying it. They transferred her to 3 different people. They hung up on her and she called them back. Finally got ahold of someone and he wanted to know who she had and what they covered etcc... None of their business. She wants to cancel. Be done with it. She finally handed me the phone to talk to him. He wouldn't talk to me so I gave the phone back to her and then she told him she was going to give me the phone. I said she wants to cancel, doesn't matter why and did he refund the downpayment. He continued to argue that he had cancelled and I continued to ask if he had refunded the money. Kept saying he told her that he had cancelled the contract. Finally said no, that it taked 3-5 days and got really rude. I said thank you and hung up. Never EVER buy a contract with them people!
Never buy a warranty contract through this company. They will not cover your claims and will not return your phones calls. We are currently fighting a denied claim with them. All they want is your money, they will not help you!
I hate this company they rip you off after paying so much every damn month BEWARE!
Do not buy from United Care Car or Omnisure this company they are a rip off! I paid $3, 000 for an extended warranty they lie to you. Do not trust them save your money they will promise you & tell you everything will be covered but when you need them they will make up all kinds of excuses not to cover for your repairs. They will lie to you to get your money Do not trust them Do not buy anything from them they are a bunch a crooks! BUYER BEWARE! Keep away from them.
This warranty was one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever made. I bought a 2002 Camaro Z28 in 2014 as a present to myself after deploying to Afghanistan. Along with it I decided to purchase a warranty from United Car Care which was a 3 year/30, 000 mile policy (their gold package). Recently my check engine light came on so I contacted them. They told me to bring the car into a shop to have it checked out. The mechanics said I needed a new ABS module and catalytic converter. Lo and behold United Car Care won't cover the cost! They say that those parts aren't on the contract and would do absolutely NOTHING to even help make the situation better. They just told me they will only abide by the contract and that they won't help at all. Kind of funny when I received a Purple Heart while protecting your country and you can't even help me fix my car. Goes to show how they feel about veterans, which they knew I was. Not to mention no one from United Car Care EVER contacted me once to make sure I understood the contract and it's coverage. Isn't one of the concepts of owning a business to make sure your customer knows the product? And if you purchase something entitled "Gold Package" wouldn't you assume that it would have a broad coverage? They are trying to throw the blame on the dealership to cover their own a**. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE.
I'm glad I read this before buying an extended warranty from these people. They called on the phone to sell the warranty, my husband wanted to get the coverage but wanted to talk to me first. The salesman was pushy and tried to get him to give our credit card information. He said we could cancel if we changed our minds. But wouldn't give a number he could be contacted at. Sounded fishy to me so I did some research. Thank goodness for this blog. You saved me a big headache. Thanks.
This company is a rip off. I bought an extended warranty for my used truck. They said there is a 30 day/1000 mile break in period. That's fair. Well, over 3000 miles and almost 2 months later, my truck started making a ticking noise from the engine. Dealership diagnosed that a metal filter related to the cams and phasers failed and broke off into the engine. Now this company is saying its preexisting, because it happened within 90 days. BULL S#IT. The contract says 30 days and 1000 miles. They are scam artists. If you buy a used car, they can say anything is preexisting. I agree with the others, that a class action suit needs to be started. tginok9@yahoo.com
The company is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. I received a letter offering me their services. This a big joke regarding my car insurance. I am disabled and unable to drive. I have never had a car nor a driver's license... ever. But they still contacted me to increase my benefits. Please disregard any and all mailing you may receive from them. I agree with the others, that a class action suit needs to be started. Beware and still away from this illegal joke of a company.
This is a total scam. As soon as I tried to submit a claim it was denied. They just want your money! Do not fall for this scam!
