I bought a box of trilogy, 2023 hockey, I received a very expensive insert card, which was clearly miscut with a stream of white near the signed luck edge - I contacted upper deck, quality assurance, about this and three other cards. They asked me to send all in to be assessed and replaced, at my own expense, after reviewing the images I sent.
I just recently received the card, stating that “it was not deemed to have factory damage.” I’m not sure how a card that is not cut correctly from sheet it is on does not qualify as factory damage or misprint? Also, I said mention this card is unlimited print of 25 that his hand signed… So this individual car needed to be physically handle by multiple individuals in order to be placed in the back. Clearly could have been seen to have been misprinted. I placed a photo of a comparison, card of the exact same type that I also got, which shows that there is a clear difference between the misprinted card, and what card should look like. This is super disappointing as this has basically completely devalued what otherwise would be a very valuable card, and it should have been replaced with a card or greater value. This is clearly a failure of whatever assessment team reassessed this card after I sent it to them, and they should be addressed more appropriately with a replacement card.
Desired outcome: Replacement with a card of equal or greater value.
