On 1/22/19 a Cox Employee by the name of Donald C. hit my Ford Transit 350 wheelchair vehicle from behind while we were driving on the 1-10 going 38 miles an hour. Our passenger was a wheelchair bound patient who is already injured due to the carelessness of another motorist. We have a video recording of the entire event and the DPS Officer sited Donald as the driver at fault, however, Donald never got out of his vehicle, never checked on the status of the people whom he hit. He stayed in his vehicle for the entire time and only got out to get the information exchange form from the officer. The best part is that the insurance information provided is false. The insurance company is adamant that they do not provide auto coverage for Cox, nor do they recognize the policy number. I've called every number I can for Cox and they will do nothing to assist. Thankfully we found all of Donald's personal information and we will pursue him personally for the cost to repair the vehicle which was quoted at an estimated $7k, as well as the medical expenses related to the passengers injuries who was taken immediately to the ER. What an unethical, irresponsible company who clearly fosters an environment that encourages their people to avoid taking accountability or having any level of character you would expect from anyone who is provided a paycheck based on the money that their community spends on the service.
