Walgreens

The pharmacy manager at Walgreens on 99th Avenue in Sun City has been critical of how non-controlled prescription directions are written. He had verbally abused me and implied I was lying about the off-use of the prescription written by my doctor. I have one prescription which is 4 mg tablets and another one of the same medication but is 6 mg tablets. The pharmacist told me that the same doctor "should" write both prescriptions. That was news to me. The doctors are of different specialties. One is a pain mgmt doctor and writes the tablets. The other is behavioral health or my primary care who writes it for off-label use for insomnia. I wrote a Yelp! review about his behavior. People shouldn't have to be harassed like this. I told my pain mgmt doctor what the pharmacist said and she said that is nonsense. I called the pharmacist and told him this. He started a verbal abuse war in retaliation for my Yelp! review and said I needed to take it down. He started threatening me and said I should get a new pharmacy because our relationship isn't working. He said that there is no off-use for the prescription for insomnia. He persistently talked over me in a very loud voice. I told him my health plan mandates that I go to Walgreens. He said, "Then switch Walgreens". He said I can refuse to refill your prescriptions so are you going to take down the Yelp! review?"I told him that after he has spoken to me this way again, I'm certainly not taking the review down. I'm SHOCKED at his behavior. He is arrogant, rude, and thinks he is the alpha and omega for prescriptions. I have had a very hard time working with my doctors to find something that works for insomnia which isn't a controlled substance. We tried Clonidine, Gabapentin, and others that caused side effects. I have taken specific prescription medication for ten years. For some reason, when I moved to a new Pain doctor who prescribes the 4 mg tablets and told her what this UNPROFESSIONAL PHARMACIST told me about having two doctors write it, she said"no, your other can still write for the capsules and I will now write for the tablets. I use the capsules for insomnia. My prescription daily dosage for both prescriptions is still under the recommended highest dosage. I have worked very hard to get my prescriptions correctly since I changed pain doctors. My previous pain doctor only wrote Pain medicines. I have so much anxiety and it is UNACCEPTABLE for me to be treated this way by a pharmacy that I have used for many years. I'm sharing this review with all appropriate protection agencies and the state boards. THIS PERSON SHOULD NOT BE WORKING IN HEALTH CARE IN ANY FACET.
