Went in to purchase non-alcoholic wine for a sober friend that I am hosting and Borris the supervisor there told me I’d be unable to purchase it at self checkout. In my many attempts to clarify whether or not it was alcoholic since my ID was needed he kept repeating it’s the law it’s no regard or care about the reason for me asking. Peoples sobriety is very important and when I told him sir I need to know because I will be serving this to other people he simply stated you buy it or you don’t. He was very rude and berated me in front of other customers. If this is how he deals with customers - I cannot imagine his capacity as a supervisor with other employees. I had a very positive experience with both Bob and Lenore who were helping me checkout. If he is not familiar with policy or the products and is too stubborn to try and work with people of different backgrounds then I do not understand the need for his position. His job is to deescalate and communicate. I am an adult and paying customer I do not appreciate being spoken down to like a child. Thank you for looking into this.
