I wanted to bring to your attention that my wife, has been trying to fill a Vyvanse 60 mg order sent by her doctor since approximately, 9/5/2023. The order was confirmed to have reached the pharmacy. A polite call has been made several times this month and each time there has been a difference in stories as to why it has not been filled to date. Some of the reasons given include: "We have not received the vyvanse shipment and are currently out and a request has been made and will fill as soon as shipment arrives"; "Sorry, we did not realize there was a generic for vyvanse and now we need to request a new prescription from the doctor's office in order to fill and we'll call you when ready"; Sorry we have not received the medication, but you can call your doctor's office to have another prescription sent to another pharmacy since we do not have the medication";"sorry we don't have the medication, but will order it and as soon as it arrives, we'll let you know... To each of these statements, we have notified the pharmacy that my wife is out of her medication and this medication is very important for her mental health.
It has been a very frustrating month trying to fill this medication. The different excuses given are very unlike the professionalism with which we have been given in the past. Shouldn't a customer be able to expect their pharmacy to deliver high quality, dependable service to its loyal customers? This incident is very concerning as this situation can be a life changing outcome.
Desired outcome: I truly believe in the CVS leadership to correct this incident. Not having her vyvanse is affecting my wife significantly. I would hope for a swift intervention.
