Les Schwab Tire Center

I had purchased tire chains on a winter trip in december of 2007 in oregon. I was told if I didn't use the chains it was no problem to return them. When I took them to the les schwab in san carlos california (bay area), I was told I must have the receipt. I did not have it, so they proceeded to call the les schwab in grants pass oregon on union street where I had originally purchased the chains. The store in grants pass could not find the invoice. So in part the grants pass les schwab on union street has incompetent employees as well. I gave my correct name and nobody could find the invoice. I had purchased chains one other time from les schwab years ago and returned them without a receipt no problem.in the end, the les schwab in san carlos turned me away and would not give me a refund for my chains. How rediculous are these people. They opened the bag and saw that the chains had not been used. So why could I not get a refund? Les schwab chains are les schwab chains. You can go buy a bouncy ball at 1000 different types of stores, safeway, longs drugs, walgreens, and when you go to return that bouncy ball without a receipt you may have not purchased your bouncy ball at a safeway even though you are trying to return it to one. But les schwab chains are all the same. You can't buy les schwab chains at midas or jiffy lube! So please les schwab get a clue! Les schwab, if you will not take your own product back, it really looks like you don't stand behind what you sell. I will spread the word and let people know to stop buying tires from you. I can tell you I won't ever again, and I hope those that read this will not as well. There are many other tire shops with tires of greater quality, but like so many others I thought les schwab had integrity and would stand behind what they are selling. Sadly... I was so very wrong.

The other part to the whole thing is that it's ok. Because craigslist.com is a place to buy and sell lots of things. I will sell mine on there for much less than I would have received as a return, and les schwab will not have my chains to sell. What I mean is that who needs to buy chains, or any product from les schwab when les schwab products can be baught and sold from person to person on the internet for much less than what any person would pay at the store. If we all just keep circulating our chains and things, we all won't need to make purchases from les schwab anymore.
