Booked a reservation online and was charged and booked for two reservations instead of one! Called the reservation line spent 20 min waiting and was told it was probably a glitch in the computer system. They canceled the additional reservations but said it would take 7 to 10 days to refund my money. Very upset that to no fault of my own I was charged twice! Being doubly charged is a huge inconvenience and a very bad way to start what should be a great experience! $630 is a lot of money to be charged “accidentally”
Desired outcome: Some sort of compensation or discount for my inconvenience would be nice.
Great Wolf Lodge - Reservations and pricing
My family and I booked a stay for my sons birthday in February but sadly both of my kids got the flu the day before his birthday and we needed to cancel. When I called they said the only thing they could do was hold my reservation on file for three months and I could pick another day to take my family. I then tried to call back a month later and every day that I attempted to book they wanted to charge me more money than I originally Booked for. I even looked into multiple weeks where we would be staying the same day of the week and the only response I got was "rates can change daily".
I spent over 2 hours in chats with great wolf lodge over multiple days to be shown zero empathy, compassion, or care. Do they really think my son wanted to be throwing up on his birthday!?
We previously would go to the great Wolf Lodge two times a year, once for each of my sons birthdays but we will not be returning after this experience. We are talking about a major corporation that is willing to lose hundreds of dollars in business over pennies.
A business that is meant for families but is not family friendly...
