Date of first event: 7/15/2022. Overhead sign shows $1.00 for all soft drinks. They rang up at $1.79. Shift manager was very rude and said she did not have to honor the price. I argued the point and she eventually gave in and said she would do it this time but not again because they do not have to honor posted prices. Second visit on 07/17/2022, the sign was still wrong. I ordered 2 drinks. The same shift manager came to the register and was yelling even before she made it to the register. I said she needed to honor the price or change the sign. After I would not back down she told me to leave the restaurant. At that point I lost my temper and used one profane word. I asked to speak to her manager at she refused twice. I told her I was not leaving until I talked to her manager. The on duty manager named Karen came to the counter. She was very nice, apologetic, and professional. After a few minutes, I apologized for what I had said, the first manger said it was to late for an apology. Karen got her out of the picture and we continued to talk, neither of us raising our voice. She explained that corporate controls the signs and she had no control over it. I suggested to get some tape or paper and cover the price. I told her I would take it up with corporate. I paid full price for the items. This is no way to run a business.
Desired outcome: Change the signs to match price at register. Retrain the shift manger on how to deescalate a situation instead of being argumentative.
McDonald's - Long wait
Store number as provided by shift manager 37303, Lake Wales, Hwy 60/Buckmore Rd. Ordered a large sweet tea in drive through. Waited 7-8 minutes, drive around behind another customer who pulled out of line to the door. Go inside, the cashier is texting in the corner, the staff are having fun and joking around with each other. I ask for the manager, some unconcerned and disinterested guy comes to the front, I ask for my wife's sweet tea (already paid the girl who finally got off her texting) and he handed me a cup. Asked for the store number, he asks, "the phone number?". What the heck is going on with the premier service provider in the US? Fix this, and please don't blame COVID! Sick of that excuse.
Desired outcome: Better service
