The location at Epps Bridge Road in Athens. GA has their hours listed as closing at 10pm on the website and even posted as “new”hours on their door. My daughter and I arrived at 9:20 on Saturday 1/28 and attempted to go inside to order, the doors were locked but we saw cars in the drive thru. The 2 guys working also saw us trying to come in. We pulled around to the drive thru to order and had 4 cars in front of us, not one car behind us. A worker ran out to tell us that they were cutting the line off after the car in front of us, leaving only us I feel like this was very inappropriate considering they still had over 30 minutes until closing time and there were no other cars behind us. We were only going to order 2 lattes. Regardless, there was no explanation given as to why they were closing early, and if it were an emergency then why would they take 4 cars ahead of us, but not include us? If they feel the need to close earlier, then they need to at least post it on the door, be kinder when telling the customer, and definitely maybe consider taking one last car with 2 coffees, instead of making them leave while everyone one else gets to stay. I work in customer service and this is definitely not how you treat loyal customers. We drove 10 minutes out of the way because we saw this location was still open when another one was listed as closed. All of these things combined led me to leave this review. Is it okay to close early? Sure.. things happen. But this is not how to handle it at all.
Desired outcome: I would hope you talk to the manager at this location about how to handle future similar situations like this. I feel as a loyal customer we deserve some sort of compensation. Maybe a free latte or a small gift card?
