My mother is a patient at Southeast Medical Group Stockbridge. She has been trying to get a medication filled for more than 5 weeks. I became involved about a week ago, because she is so upset and frustrated at being ignored. Since I became involved, she has been lied to about 'we called but nobody answered' (she has voicemail and caller ID), she has gone in person with a complaint letter to the doctor, we both have called and left several messages, I have sent numerous faxes, and I have also sent messages through the website and through her MyHealth portal. One of two prescriptions was finally filled. But not the new medication she was prescribed April 13. The pharmacy assures us they have never received the prescription. She should be ordering a refill already. Instead she has had NO blood pressure medication since April, when the doctor changed her medication. This is disgusting and unacceptable. There has been no accountability, no resolution, and no contact in days.
Desired outcome: Fill the prescription, find out who needs to be fired from their job, and apologize for blatant disregard of her health and wellbeing.
