I had planned to eat at the bar and watch tv and drove 30 miles to the Northbrook location.
When I arrived, I noticed the bar area was fully occupied with the exception of three tables immediately adjacent to the counter. I asked to be seated there, but the hostess told me the area was closed. I asked to speak to the manager and she was equally inflexible. I asked for an accommodation given that the tables were idle, but again she could not make a special arrangement and 'needed to be consistent with company policy'. I asked if she was going to let me walk away, and she said that was my choice. As a long time, loyal patron of Ruth's Chris, this is not the type of customer experience that I have known to expect at this fine restaurant. I believe the manager would benefit from client service refresher training for the benefit of the brand.

Ruth's Chris Steak House - Unequal work opportunity and defamation of character
I was hired as a server at Ruth's Chris. I was asked if I was willing to host and I said yes as long as I would be serving mostly and they ask me first about every single one of those shifts. That was a lie. They kept putting me on hosting shifts and only offered me a few serving here and there. Last week I was there they put me on 100% hosting shifts. There was no answer as to why. I quit on the spot. Since then I've gone back to dine. There were multiple rumors started about me including that I was married to one of the managers and at my last visit, I was pregnant by him. Previously, the bartenders had made rumors about the GM and I, when he bought me a steak dinner so I could try out the menu. They also started a paper saying that Alex (also a server) and I should be fired because I was seating him more as a host. I wasn't the main host so I never controlled who was set. And if you look in the system that was a lie. Most people there signed it. Nothing was done about that even though it was a lie. That same GM was fired after I left for being discriminatory and supporting the staff for continued harassment of Alex, the gay server. Now that GM is gone, this treatment of myself being treated badly has continued. I contacted Hr and no one contacted me back. The new GM did saying they will look into it. But never contacted me back. So I reached out again and they said they had concluded the investigation. I asked what they had done about defamation of my character and the rumors and I was told they couldn't discuss anything with me. I will be contacting a lawyer but I want this also to be recognized by the state so treatment of guests and/or employees in a negative way will stop.
Ruth's Chris Steak House - Reservations
I have a complaint that has bothered me my entire night. I made reservations by phone with someone on 9/21 for 5 guests. I was going to be running a few minutes late so I called to get my reservations pushed back. They informed me that they didn't have a reservations for me but I have a screen shot in my phone of me talking to them for at least 4 minutes in regards to this reservations. I called back to speak with a manager and I was hung up on. I will never forget this company. I will never give to someone who denied my services because of the sound of my voice. I've heard there was racism before with this restaurant but I had no idea I would be a victim to it

Ruth's Chris Steak House - gnat at table
Being a fan for more than 10yrs and multiple dinners and family events throughout the year in multiple cities, Miami, West Palm and Chicago is the first time we experienced a bad situation.
My wife and I made reservations this time at the Northbrook, IL restaurant and as we sat at the table we noticed gnat flying around. In a very discreet manner we notified the waiter and his response was "you get $2 off for each you kill.
Considered this completely disrespectful and condescending answer..
