On April 29, 2024 I took my wife and disabled son to dinner to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We arrived at the Denver tech center location, Denver Colorado at approximately 4:30 to 5PM. (the scheduled opening of the restaurant). We were the first or second customers to arrive (Not crowded). We ordered cocktails, wine(the brand requested was not available, so we had to substitute), a shared appetizer and our steaks 2-medium well and 1- medium rare.
When the food arrived the 2 medium well steaks were very rare and the medium rare was well done. I did not make a scene as these things happen. wait staff took the food away and when they (after some time) all three steaks were still not correct. Everyone was sorry and apologized. However by this time there was zero chance to salvage the meal or the evening. the side dishes were cold and the wine had been consumed while waiting for the second attempt. By this time my wife was on the edge of tears and my disabled sone could no longer wait as he could not understand why our food was not right. At this point I paid the bill $450.00 including tip. No one offered any compensation for the ruined meal and the occasion. After thinking about that evening for a while I decided that no I was not going to let this go. It was wrong and should be addressed.
Claimed loss: I paid $450 for a special 35th anniversary dinner that was ruined because they could not cook the steaks correctly and bring everything to the table in a timely and proper manner.
Desired outcome: I have been a customer at Ruth Chris in other locations and countries. My desired out come would be to have an opportunity to try again. I believe the correct solution would be to have another go at it on the house.
