On 11/30 I visited Store #2665 for a Minute Clinic Visit. The NP suggested that I get a Decongestant product from the pharmacy as one of my treatments. I walked immediately over to the pharmacy to get this product to an already rude and agitated cashier (Michelle) that clearly did not want to serve me for some reason. She went to retrieve the product and immediately stated very loudly "You need an ID for this". As a former sales executive for the largest pharmaceutical company, I am very well informed on the rules and policies to purchase pseudoephedrine. I handed her my passport card as I am waiting for my new License from Indiana. She looked at it and stated she was not aware what this was, but it was not an acceptable form of ID. According to the FDA, all federally issued forms of identification are acceptable, including passports and passport cards. I then handed her my passport, of which she said I can't scan this. Lastly, I handed her my paper temporary license which does have the scannable barcode, which she refused as well. I stated that this was unacceptable behavior as I was positive all three forms of identification are acceptable. and asked her name, at which time her manager walks over to continue their discriminatory ruse to deny me service. The manager bluntly told me she would not serve me. What I experienced today was not following rules, it was blatant discrimination by individuals that should be immediately retrained on customer service, discrimination, and FDA rules on products containing Pseudoephedrine, Ephedrine, and Phenylpropanolamine.
