I went in to the restaurant due to the long drive thru line. It’s always a long line so I usually go in. While I was giving my order they said the drink machine was leaking. I spent 36.00 w/o drinks. So while I was waiting for my order the cashier took 5 steps and got a drink from the drive thru window. Immediately I said I thought the drinks were unavailable. He said only employees and drive thru could get drinks. There were 3 employees standing there with 3 customers waiting for food. All 3 of us not happy at this point. Yes I turned into a Karen! I asked to speak to the manager. She tried to explain that if they served customers drinks inside that it would slow down the drive thru line. Really! I went off! She asked me to listen to her or leave. Then she said the drink machine was to slow and that’s why paying inside customers couldn’t get drinks while it was 5 steps away. But your employees and drive thru customers could. I went off again and said I would not listen to her because that was the most stupid answer. It was being lazy is why you couldn’t serve the customers who took the time to come inside to order. I’m pissed! I go to that McDonald’s all the time. I will never go back and will be contacting you as many times as I can. A machine can’t be that slow where it would back up the drive thru line. Especially when you have 3 employees standing there. I will be calling corporate as well. I hope this gets heard and the manager gets a lesson on how customer service works!
Desired outcome: The manager learns customer service and a place of business doesn’t only cater to the drive thru and it’s employees.
