CVS - a pharmasist unethical behavoir

On 9/22/15 In the afternoon hours I went to CVS to refill my metopherol, I had 4 refills on it. The pharmacist Andrea Fabrizio would not refill the medicine. Andrea Fabrizio stated that even though I had refills and an order for that medication that she was not going to fill it because she didn't think the insurance was going to pay for it. I started to explain to her that I have an order and I am due for a refill, Andrea Fabrizio kept interrupting me and stated no I am not going to refill it because your insurance company will not pay for it. I am on MassHealth Neighborhood Health plan. I know that they pay for my medicines because my last refill was a 30 day supply and that was approved the prior months. I was not notified by the pharmacy nor the insurance company that my 30 day supply of metopherol had to be in a 90 day supply. The pharmacist Andrea did not even try to see if the insurance would cover it she just refused to even try to put it through. Andrea told me to call the prescribing doctor and have them change my prescription to a 90 day supply and she then faxed it to the doctor without even asking me if that is what I wanted. Again I nicely tried to explain that the order to change my prescriptions from 30 days to 90 days will take a couple of days and I needed my medicine because I was out of it. Andrea became very rude and started to yell at me in front of all the employees and customers who were waiting for their turn to have their prescriptions filled. I left the pharmacy without my prescription filled. I came back to the pharmacy a few hours later and the prescription was still not filled. So I asked the pharmacist for enough for a 2 metopherol pills, one for that evening and one for the next morning and then I can come in and pick up the rest of the prescription. Andrea Fabrizio refused to give me a couple of pills. Once again I tried to explain that the med is for my heart it is a beta blocker which also helps me from going into AFIB and I can't skip doses. Or just stop taking it. The more I tried to explain why the med was important the more Andrea interrupted me and in fact Andrea became very rude and stubborn and her the other pharmacy tech workers were demeaning me buy laughing at my situation and giving each other looks and rolling there eyes over at me. That is when Andrea said I will let you pay for the medicine. But I will not give you any. I had no money. So I couldn't get my medicine. I left the pharmacy and went to my sisters car and told her what they were doing to me. How they were laughing at me and refusing to refill my mdse still. She came into CVS with me a few moments after I left and asked for the supervisor. She and I explained what was going on and he said to us that he could give me a couple of pills, and he did. He did not ask me to pay for it either. When I told him that Andrea told me I had to pay for them he said no you don't. Then my sister spoke up and said to him I saw you talking to Andrea, I heard what you both were saying, she told you she offered my sister 2 metopherol and she in fact didn't offer her 2 pills. She offered to fill the prescription if my sister pays for it. Andrea lied to her supervisor but then called me a liar! So my sister and I told her supervisor that Andrea is disrespectful and perhaps he should be more selective when he hires someone. We then left the pharmacy. The next day in the afternoon I when into CVS to pick up the rest of my prescription Andrea Fabrizio approached me and accused me of being a trouble maker, and treated me like I was dumb. She started to yell at me and overpowered any means of communication about the previous day. Then Andrea did a divide and conquer while behind the counter trying to get the other girls to treat me badly. some did others did not. All I wanted was to get my medicine and leave but she was not going to give it to me without treating me badly first. Again Andrea raised her voice to the point of yelling and started to reprimand me in front of all the other customers and the other workers. I had enough of Andrea Fabrizio's mental abuse and started to raise my voice as I stated to her clearly " your abusing me and your using your pharmacist position to do so, stop treating me badly"! As I stated this she kept interrupting me leaving me to raise my voice even louder to make sure she heard my request. But she kept on saying things like if you don't like it don't come here. She tried to make me leave the told me I have to change pharmacies and continued to yell at me and lie to me about the previous day. When she finally gave me my medicine A tech rand it through and she kept saying things to me, I spoke to the insurance company they may have lied to you but not us, I then told her I know they called and I was the one who told them to call you. And Andrea could have refilled the prescription she is just using her position to do mind games because she doesn't like me for some reason. The whole time the tech was ringing me up Andrea was standing there talking to other girls about me and laughing. That is when I said to her are you predjiduce? Again with the laughing and she again stated if you don't like it leave. In fact I am going to get it so you can never come here and your sister also. That is when I yelled stop abusing me! Very loudly and again I asked her if she was racist because perhaps she didn't like my Chinese looking eyes... I am white caucation but I have very different looking eyes. And never stopped chiding me and harassing me so I went to the front to get help. They were not able to help me. I finally got another pharmacist to help me and I gave him my complaint and asked for Andrea's name and Id number. He gave me a name and number to call. The workers in the pharmacy are very ignorant to people who pick up my meds including me sister Cindy and my boyfriend obsorne. I notice that when others pick up their meds at CVS they are treated better, however every time I go there I am treated badly. Andrea and some others are very disrespectful towards me and Andrea sometimes bullies me.

I no longer am able to drive due to health reasons. I depend on my sister who lives in Greer, SC, and comes up every two weeks to run errands for me to pick up my prescriptions at CVS. I always call the refills in the day before if I have refills left or I call my doctor two or three days before to be sure he or she faxes the new prescriptions in for me so they will be ready for her to pick up. At least every three months or less CVS will call me and tell me that they are out of one or more of my prescriptions and I will just have to wait until the next week to pick them up. I have explained to them over and over that I have no way and no one to pick them up the next week unless I get a cab there which is around $40.00 round trip which I can't afford. They act like they could care less. What kind of drugstore runs out of medicine when you are dealing with people's lives in some cases? They should have some kind of system to tell them when they are running low and they should never run out! Well, today, October 4, 2015, my sister came up from SC and went to CVS to pick up my prescriptions. When she got to my house, she had four prescriptions. I was just supposed to get two. Two of them belonged to another person and were given to me. I called CVS (Morganton, NC) and a Chris said just to keep them when I told him I did not think it was my responsibility to have my sister make a return trip to the store when it was their fault I was given someone else's medicine. I asked him what if MY prescriptions had been given to someone else and since my prescriptions are controlled medicines (Klonopin and Zoloft) what would I do? They are so strict about Klonopin I doubt if my doctor would believe me that the druggist LOST MY MEDICINE SO I WOULD JUST BE OUT OF LUCK and even if I did get them to do two more refills, how would I get them since my sister had already left?. HE HAD NO ANSWER. I am fed up with the CVS Pharmacy in Morganton, NC. A friend of mine said he went twice to get his refills and both times they were still out so he went across the street to Jones Drugs where they had them in stock and they were half price cheaper. I am going to talk to both my physicians at my next appointments and ask them to change my prescriptions to another drug store which doesn't run out of medicine.
