On October 31st 2021 My daughter contacted Store 0244 115 Piney Rd Chester Md. 21619 She was checking on her prescriptions. The person that was on the phone with her ask "Why she uses that pharmacy?" What an odd question. Today 11/3/2021 they were finally filled. My daughter is a single mom working an average of 80 hours per week. Her and her daughter live with my wife and me to assist her with her day to day and taking care of her daughter my grand daughter. One of my duties is picking up her prescriptions. I ask the pharmacist why he ask her that question, as I explained what I just told you. I added I had her transfer prescriptions to this one because I have been going there over 25 years and the employees there are amazing, and it would make it easier for me to go to one pharmacy other then two, and I liked mine in regard to hers. He went on to tell me its because of the FDA and suspicious prescriptions. He said he questions all out of area prescriptions where opioids are involved. I told him she has been getting these filled there over 2 years and Cordova Md. is 15 miles from that location and ask was there a closer location? He quickly changed the subject coming up with an analogy of Frederick Md or Cumberland Md. Where Frederick being over 100 miles away and Cumberland 200 miles away. We are out in a rural area. The next closest CVS is 12 miles away but not convenient for me as I past his store 5 out of 7 days a week. I ask him if we should change pharmacies, if this was going to become a problem every month. He replied that was up to me. CVS competes with 4 other pharmacies within 2 miles of that store. You would think he would want to retain and gain as many customers as possible. But he could care less. If he is that paranoid of filling class 1 narcotics, maybe he's in the wrong career. And who is he to question a medical doctor, he is a chemist that is all. My daughter agrees maybe its time to change pharmacies. We are asking advice on social media for recommendations, as before this frustrating experience, I would be recommending that CVS. I just thought you may want to know and keep track how many customers this arrogant pharmacist / Manager he will run off. Thank you and the previous staff for the wonderful past 25+ years and I will miss them as the majority of associates in that location know me by name. Edward C. Cousler Sr.
Desired outcome: Move him to another location, We are country folks and it seems he would be better suited for a inner city location
