I'm reaching out to dispute a car rental claim charge from Alamo Car rental at BWI Airport 7434 New Ridge Rd Hanover, MD 21076.
I flew into BWI, took a shuttle to the car rental location, and rented a car from August 13, 2021 and returned it August 16, 2021.
There were no damages to this car when I received it and when I returned it. Everything was in the clear when I returned the vehicle. And then I received a letter a few days later for damages I did not do.
I received a letter dated 8/19/21 stating the date of loss on 8/17/21. But I was not in a rental agreement for this car on this day-8/17/21. So how can I be charged for a date of loss on a vehicle I was not in a rental agreement for? I attached my rental agreement and the billing letter received.
I also called by phone to speak with an Alamo damage claim representative (Chad T Hendrix) directly at [protected] at extension 6264. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach him and left a voicemail message. I also sent him an email at chad.t.[protected]@ehi.com. However, I haven't heard back from him.
I also sent an email to [protected]@ehi.com requesting the following documents. But, haven't heard back from a representative.
These were the details of what was requested.
- Time-stamped photos that were taken immediately before the car was driven off the lot.
-Time-stamped photos that were taken immediately after the car was returned.
-A record of all rentals for the car between the time I returned it and the date of the damage claim letter.
Desired outcome: I request this claim to be closed, damage repair charges to cleared at $0 and a letter of documentation with the closing of this claim in writing.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Alamo Rent A Car - false rental car damage claim scam
I reserved a car from Alamo via Priceline for the morning of October 31, 2019. I had just returned from a Hawaiian vacation and I just needed a vehicle to get from BWI back to my home in New Cumberland, PA, which is roughly a 90-mile drive. I picked up the car around 10am and I drove directly home. I made no stops along the way. I arrived home (with NO...
