Shaw's

This is about the fifth time I have seen molded products from the bakery on the shelf with due dates that have passed and have been blue mold all over them, to include a time that I bought a fruitcake got it to my birthday party went to cut it and it had mold all over the strawberries! I have brought this to the attention to the managers at the store several times! This is on a display as soon as you walk in the door to entice your customers to buy the bakery items for Easter!
The last time I brought this to the attention of the bakery department they said that they put them there to sell them because they knew that the date had passed and they were trying to get rid of the product before it went bad! I just happen to be a proctor for serve safe certification in the state of Maine and New Hampshire. I think that you need to take food safety more serious, you have a Lotta elderly customers that come in to buy these items which could make people sick. The cashier I told today acted promptly and alerted the manager that was on duty who said he was going to go check it out immediately . I also went to the bakery department to get some bagels and in employee was standing there I believe emptying out the case putting bagels in a bag who had very bad hygiene. I am not one to complain and know that things happen so that's why I have never complained and only complain to the management at the store. Then again today I went in and saw the same thing with the dates on the pies dated use by the 16th and saw the blue mold and thought to myself that this kind of thing is just going to keep happening at the store . I would've taken a picture but I didn't want to call attention to it, I do like going to your Shaws on Center Street the cashiers a very good along with the supervisors at the front, but I will definitely think twice before I buy anything from your bakery department ever again.
