I have no hope that you will do anything about the problems that exist at this pharmacy, but just for the heck of it, here goes. My husband has had back surgery and his back is very bad, causing him to use a cane and wheelchair. He saw his doctor today at 8:00 A.M. and the Doctor sent 3 prescriptions to this CVS. I drove through at about 4:00 P.M. today and was given 2 prescriptions. When I got home, my husband asked where was the 3rd prescription, the pain meds. I called CVS and they advised me that they had to order the pain med and it would be 2 to 3 days before they could fill it. I asked them why they did not call my husband and let him know this so that we could use a different pharmacy. The woman could not explain and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was placed on hold and then dis-connected. I called back and was again placed on hold and dis-connected.
In addition to the above, one of the pharmacist at this CVS advised me that my doctor had not sent in a prescription for me. This was in August 2021. My doctor said that she had electronically sent this prescription in April 2021. My husband went to this CVS in August 2021 to pick up his meds, and a different pharmacist asked my husband if he wanted my prescription. They found the missing prescription. It is not up to the pharmacist to decide to fill a prescription that our doctors provide to us, unless the prescriptions are duplicate. Not these pharmacists, they are attempting to practice medicine without the medical degree. Who ever heard of a pharmacy or pharmacist advising a patient that they could not take a certain medication because this was the pharmacist's opinion.
This is the worse pharmacy in the world. It is just too bad that enough CVS customers don't stick together and file a class action lawsuit. This would get CVS attention and perhaps they would start to treat customers in a much better manner, or end up paying a lot in attorney's fees and sanctions. Think about that. Hopefully some other CVS customers will contact me and we can get a class action started. Then CVS Headquarters would be interested. I called the CVS Headquarters today and was transferred to an extension that kept saying "hold on, someone will be with you shortly". I listed to this for 30 minutes and I hung up. If this goes to CVS, then they can contact me as their employees are jokes and I will not be doing business with them ever again, not in Miss. M. Jones
Desired outcome: It is time for someone to look into the illegal practices at this CVS and put a stop to it as I will also be filing complaints with the MS Pharmacy Board. This is unacceptable behavior and I am sick of it.
