We rented a jeep wrangler for a xmas weekend trip to a cabin in west jefferson, nc from dec 23rd-dec 27th 2020 (vehicle #lw181040, license # dfvw49) on the way there the jeep was ok but the alignment seemed a bit off. We didn't give it much thought though. We were able to drive the unpaved road up to the cabin with no issues on the 24th. However, that night, it snowed. On the 26th, when we got up to go to a snow tubing place nearby, and started driving down the mountain, the jeep's tires were totally useless. There was less than an inch of snow on the ground and the 4 x 4 feature was engaged. Nothing. We were stuck. We had to call the snow tubing place to cancel our reservation; it really put a damper on our xmas plans. We had to push the car back off the road that we were blocking (we had barely left the driveway). It took 2 hours. We called alamo's roadside service and they were working on getting us a tow truck and/or and uber to take us home the next day when we had to check out of our airbnb. We were on the phone for hours. Every time we thought alamo would address the issue, a new rep would call and ask us to explain the issue again. We spoke to maybe 6 different reps. On the 27th, we finally got a tow truck to tow the jeep down the mountain for us. When I returned the car, I asked for a full refund but, was only refunded for 1 day. I dont think I should have to pay for a car that didn't do what I rented it to do. I left my car at home to deal with a useless one. A total waste of money.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
