My husband and I went into our local Conn's in Greensboro, NC on Memorial Day (late May 2020) weekend to look at purchasing a new refrigerator. Our current one was starting to have some minor issues, and we wanted an upgrade. Mind you we did not need it. The process in the store was painful, and we were about to walk out when the store manager came over to "save the day" with her ipad. She put my husbands information in, and she advised us that he was approved on 36 months no interest on what we wanted. Since it was 36 months no interest, we decided to go with it, since the payment based on that, SHOULD have only been @$75/month. On that date, we were advised that the earliest delivery date would be June 28, 2020, ok fine. We also advised them that the June 28th delivery date was not a good date for us, as I was having surgery an hour away that day. That was a debacle... we ended up not getting the refrigerator until July 28, 2020. The maturity date on our loan was set for may 2021... Not 36 months interest only... It was 12 months. So the manager in the store lied completely on that aspect of the purchase. I understand from talking to multiple people in attempting to get this resolved that the maturity date is based on the contract date. Ok, I know that would normally be the case in NON COVID situations, but due to COVID the manufacturing had been delayed due to shut downs, which caused the 2 month delay in the delivery of the refrigerator. So now, a 12 month interest only loan has become a 10 month interest only loan, as we didn't take deliver of the item until July, and the account was not established for us to even make payments on the loan until after the delivery. The maturity date need to be changed to reflect the delivery date.
Desired outcome: THE MATURITY DATE NEED TO BE CHANGED TO REFLECT THE DELIVERY DATE.
