I have been a Shaws customer in Woodsville for many years on Thurs. morning 10/5 I was doing some shopping As I started halfway up the second isle I noticed an employee was following me everytime I stopped he would pretend to straighten shelves then as I started to move he would follow me it wabs almost comical but I figured they were just checking people and werent very good. As I finished and went to the check out he walked away I went through as I was about to load groceries into my backpack which Ive used for years so I dont use plastic. all of a sudden the load/ grocery manager Leon was standing by the next register and accused me of shoplifting mind you there are 4 to 5 employees and 15 to 20 customers and everyone stopped to see what was what. I replied opened my backpack showed him it was empty said I was followed by an employee and there are cameras everywhere I did nothing wrong. He replied we know you took something from us. Im no kid I just turned 59 never had anything like that happen to me never felt so embarresed I dont want to go back to the store ever this is a very small town and thats the new news ME
Desired outcome: im not sure an apology isnt close unless its in front the whole town The employee should not have his position even a job he broke alot of company rules and broke the law the more I think about it the more I feel my life is ruined
Shaw's - Checkout
Shopped at Shaw's today Feb 14th at approximately 2:30 PM, one cashier open, no others even at the service desk over 12 people waiting in line with what looked like no chance of any register opening. Cashier came back from lunch and opened register immediately (thank god for her)! This store needs "self - checkouts" installed as this is not the first time this has happened. I understand no one wants to apply for work, but this situation is unacceptable and needs to be rectified.
Desired outcome: Install Self-Checkouts
