I purchased my mother of the bride dress for my daughter’s July 15,2023 wedding at your Strongsville store on April 4, 2023. When I tried on the dress, I told the sales person that I believed I probably needed a bigger size. She insisted that it was the correct size and that they could let it out, if need be, when they do the alterations. When the dress arrived at your store, and I tried it on, I could not zip it up. The alterations department indicated that indeed they believed it was not the right size. They also indicated that their store would be closing at the end of June and that they were all booked up so that they would not be able to order a different size in the dress and have it done at their store due to the time constraint. They asked me to try on the same exact address I tried on, off their rack in April. Again, even though it was the exact same size they ordered, the one in the store did zip up. They indicated that I could get the dress off the rack and that they would have time to alter that. Clearly, the dress had been tried on many times and also, one of the loops for hanging had been broken. They did not offer any discount and again, they indicated that they would not be able to let the waist out. They indicated that the only other option was to order the correct size & have it delivered to their Canton store, over a 45 minute drive away. They indicated that tit would come in by June 11 and that that should give them enough time to alter the dress. I accepted this, feeling that I had no other choice. I had also purchased a sash that will be sewn into the waist when they do the alteration. I noticed that the same sash is now, 20% off and I asked if they would give me that discount on the sash I had purchased. They indicated that they could not because I purchased it in April.
I find this to be very poor customer service. This is a huge inconvenience to me, not to mention a major stressor. In addition to three trips to your strongsville store, I am required to now spend more time and expense, driving 45 minutes away, at least twice, once for the fitting and once to pick it back up after alterations. I am also extremely concerned and anxious that it will not be ready in time for my daughters wedding. I would appreciate a quick resolution of this that is to my satisfaction. Thank you
Desired outcome: A discount do to the additional expense & inconvenience. I am looking to other places to do the alterations. If I can secure alterations, somewhere else, I would appreciate the dress being delivered directly to the Strongsville store
