Mathis Brothers Furniture - Broken sofa delivered in April

I order two sets of 3 seaters and one was broken.

Emailed them multiple times with no response since April.

I have emailed them multiple times and tried reaching out to the customer service as well however was told each time that a customer agent will get back to me but this never happened. I also left a review on their website which in response to was told to email on following address! Again did that and here we are in October and no one ever got back to me since April when this incident was filed.

Mathis Brothers Furniture - Bench I bought to go with my dining room table. Water stains.

I bought a whole dining room matching set on 4/6/21
It took a while to get the table chairs and bench. I hadn't used any of the dining room furniture until after May 25th because that's the day I received the table top. A couple days ago someone got a drop of something on the fabric of the bench and I used a mild soap and water and it came out immediately. The problem is that it has a water mark every place I used water on it. I went over it again with pure water and it now has a water mark in a larger area. I called customer service and they said that considered an accident and they won't do anything or offer any solutions for me. I wasn't offered any protection plan when I bought my furniture which I would have purchased. I bought an entire living room set, master bedroom set, dining room set and other various pieces of furniture that day. I'm one of their elite members and it means nothing. I'm still waiting on my matching server. I just want it fixed. I was told by my salesman they had a service center for cleaning and fixing these things. He gave me the number for customer service and they said there's nothing they can do. I asked, "what I can do" and she said, "sorry, I don't know because we don't cover accidents." I am just so frustrated.

Desired outcome: I want the fabric on the bench cleaned or whatever it takes to get the water mark off.

Mathis Brothers Furniture - do not buy a mattress at this store

I purchased a mattress at the mathis sleep center in moore, and we picked out the modular mattress was the only one my husband could tolerate with his back, I had no idea we couldn't exchange it or get our money back if it didn't work out, sleep number, mattress firm all have 100 day if not satisfied get a full refund policy and I just figured mathis brothers was the same way, I WAS WRONG! The bed was delivered not in boxes as it stated on the video we watched in the store to show us how to easily assemble it, instead it was delivered just wrapped in plastic, no paperwork as if it was a used bed, when I called the store they told me to google the assembly instructions! After a couple of nights both of us realized neither of us could sleep on the mattress, we were told we could purchase different firmness coils but not returnable! We purchased the mattress cover so it's been completely sealed and have been fighting with the store ever since, there isn't another mattress in the store my husband can sleep on and I'm allergic to the foam mattresses so we're limited on what we can sleep on, I was finally told we could exchange it after 30 days, by this time we've already purchased another mattress elsewhere otherwise we both would've been sleeping in our recliners for a month! But they don't seem to care about that! Anyway, so we decided since we can't get our money back and they won't give us a credit to purchase other furniture at the main store, we decided to exchange for a mattress and box springs and frame to give my friend who has leukemia and needs a good firm mattress, but due to health issues she sleeps on a twin mattress so she can quickly get up and to the bathroom and what we had purchased was a king, so even though the twin mattress/box springs and frame is going to be less than what we paid for the king mattress now they're telling me we can't exchange it for a different size! What difference does it make? We can't use the mattress so it may as well go to someone who can and is deserving of a nice bed, it's been almost 2 weeks since they called and told me I couldn't exchange for the twin but was going to make one more call to see if they could get an override, again it's been almost 2 weeks and have heard nothing! We purchased the mattress on October 13, 2019 and this issue still isn't resolved! I have been a customer of mathis brothers for over 35 years and have spent over 20, 000.00 there and this is the way the treat repeat customers, unbelievable! I will never buy a single thing more from them and am telling all my friends, coworkers and the veterans I service not to purchase from them for fear they will receive the same treatment, and judging by the reviews they treat all their customers poorly, how are they still in business? From now on I will go to the Galleria, Bob Mills, Edmond Furniture Gallery or anywhere else to purchase but them, this company has turned to trash!

Mathis Brothers Furniture - lane recliners

I need some advice from my FRIENDS and family. I bought 2 recliners from Mathis Bros. They are Lane extra wide with heat and message in them. Well i have had to have them fixed 2 times now. This last time on mine they had it 6-8 weeks. Got it back broke again same exact thing i have been putting it in the shop with Mathis Bros. I will tell you i will never buy lane recliners again. Yes i have warranty on both but still not able to use them . Always broke. Well now my husband has been diagnosed with cancer .
He cannot take them to the shop and i cannot do it by myself. I have had enough of this with these recliners. I refuse to take them back bc they have had them twice and i get them back with the same problem. So what do you all suggest that i do at this point? I need your input? I am furious with this situation. The service center i have had to deal with is worthless. I have never been so disappointed in furniture i have bought until now. They pretend to fix the chairs then give them back to me still broken. 2 times is more than enough time to fix them.

Mathis Brothers Furniture - sleeper sofa defect and customer service

I ordered Sleeper sofa from Ashley's furniture store. The day of delivery (after almost 7 weeks of wait to get our furniture) I got a call that there was a minor defect/ tear on backside of sofa. I was given an option to get a discount or have the defect repaired at no cost. Since it was a minor tear, I went ahead with the delivery. Later on, I noticed two more defects - one with the mattress itself and the other with black sheet covering the frame that supports the mattress. I called customer service regarding the defect and the CS person - Tristin - was very rude to me. She made statements like - "what do you want me to do about it?" She also kept on talking over me several times. At one point, I had to stop her and ask her to let me speak. When I started telling her that there were two more defects (which were probably missed by the QA team), she went on saying "I am telling you, I am seeing a note in the system that there is a tear on the backside of sofa and to offer $100 to customer". When I confronted her that she doesn't have to be rude, when a customer is not happy with the product/ services, she denied that she was being rude, which was a straight up lie. She does not have to be in customer oriented industry, if she is not willing to help unhappy customers. This whole customer service experience made it a lot more painful, on top of the defective product I received.

Mathis Brothers Furniture - customer service

The Customer Services Department for Mathis Brothers summed up in two words: IT SUCKS. We delivered a lazy-boy recliner rocker there on Sunday March 3rd for repair. We were to, d we would get a call on Monday or Tuesday as to what the repairs might be. No call ever came, I stopped by there about 4:10 pm on Tuesday, March 5th to see what the status was on it. I was told it was not done yet. I called again on Friday, March 8th and was told the repairs had been made. I went there on Saturday, March 9th about 9:30am to pick it up. I had to wait a few minutes before it was brought to my vehicle which was understandable as they had several customers at the same time. The young man who brought it to me asked me to set in it to see if it sat better. It seemed to. The on Saturday night, same day we received a call asking if we had picked up our chair. Why didn't she know it had not been picked up and why had we not been called it was done. The excuse that we received was the gal who originally received it was out sick so she could not call us and tell us it was done. Also to, d us it was done on Monday after we dropped it off on Sunday, May I remind you I stopped by on Tuesday late afternoon and was told it wasn't done. If your computer system is that lame to the point that no one else can look it up by name and/or phone number you really need to fix something. I owned and operated two businesses in Nebraska and never, ever in my 25 years of business was any customer treated like this. I could work there and give much better customer service than that! If you need someone to come and teach real customer service please let me know!

Customer Service is horrible. Recliner scheduled for delivery between 4:15-:6:15 contacted delivery @ 6:10 was to call back did not call back, contacted customer service rep was put out with my call said scheduled to be delivered @ 8:15 choose to cancel my order transfer to sales rep. Sales rep said sometimes run behind I said at least they could of called he said I need to come to the store to cancel, drive an hour to the store sales rep would not even acknowledge me, order was cancel but could not receive credit because customer service closed at 7 & was advised I could of done it on the phone. When I returned to my truck I received a call delivery would be at 8:15 advised order was canceled
Communication goes a long ways I would of not canceled if advised running late in advance & the salesman was all great when we bought the recliner then did a complete turnaround didn’t even try to keep a customer . I was a first time customer as well never will I recommend Mathis Brothers.

Mathis Brothers Furniture - worst customer service ever

My Husband and I were moving into a new home and decided to buy alomst an entire housefull of furniture. We went to Mathis Brothers and while shopping for new mattress encountered a salesman by the name of TY. Ty was very nice and assured us that they were happy to have our business and that if we were not happy they would do everything that they could to make us happy. We decided to buy a Tempur-Pedic mattress for our new bed (we had previously bought a "knock off" tempur-pedic and we were not happy with it because it retains heat at night. Ty assured us that the difference between the Tempur-Pedic and the "knock off" was that it would NOT retain the heat. We bought a Master Bedroom set, Tempur-Pedic mattress, Bunk-Beds with underbed storage, Entertainment Center console and hutch, Sofa and Loveseat, End tables, Dining table and chairs, Two barstools and a rug. We bought over $12, 000.o0 in new furniture in one stop. This is not including the other 3-5 thousand in the last five years. We had a few minor problems along the way that we had to say on Mathis Brothers to take care of but were resolved. However, the major problems that I can't overlook they will do NOTHING about! The rug we bought for our living room fell apart in days. It was a total mess, our crawling baby could not come up off the floor without looking like a dust bunny. It ruined my Dyson vacuum. Burnt it up! $400.00 vaccume ruined by a $3oo.00 rug. When we called we were direced to the manager of the rug gallery and she told us the rug was not a good one and that they wouldn't even be keeping it in stock because of the problems they had with it. She said that we would be taken care of it and that they would replace or fix the vacuum and if not she herself would relace it. A few days later (after no return phone calls) I called them back. They would only take the rug back and we needed to spend more money for a better rug. That was it! They wanted more money and forget about the Dyson, It was a lost cause to get it replced or fixed. Now it is three months later and the HIGH DOLLAR mattress that TY assured us would NOT get hot at night...It gets hot. We are reasonable people so we cracked the window. It is Oklahoma so it is cold outside...It FROZE our bed! I am not kidding! A king size brick! Its took 8 hours of heat to get our mattress sleepable again. I called Tempur-Pedic and told them of our problem and they are well aware of the problems. "It is extremely tempature sensetive, the salesman should have never told you it wouldn't get hot". I guess even Tempur-Pedic gets hot and is known for absorbing and reatining heat or cold for that matter. She said we need to call the store and talk to them. We call and talked to TY and he tells is that it shouldn't get hot and that it would be a warranty issue to take up with Tempur-Pedic. We talk to the sales manager and they tell us that there is NOTHING they can do. I am very upset with the customer service we have recieved. The salesmen talk up the customer service and promise things they can't or won't deliver. When you have a problem talking to a manager is like talking to a brick wall. They got your business and they won't do what it takes to keep a customer. It is like buying your car at a buy here pay here lot. Mathis Brothers is nothing but a facade. Don't waste a dollar in that store let alone $15 GRAND!

was told mattress would be delivered today witch is on the paperwork witch is a written contract ! got a call that they would be here around 11 tonight, my dad is 85 and and needs his [censored] bed ! this is [censored] !

I sell Tempurpedic mattresses in the OKC area but not at Mathis. I get the hot issue quite a bit. The answer is yes and no. First, in a normal room temperature the mattresses are fine. If one chooses to sleep in a freezer (no heat in room) or a sauna ( no air in summer) the mattresses won't perform well. In most situations the mattresses don't sleep hot (according to hundreds of customers). However, there are few exceptions. #1. If someone is very large and they choose a soft mattress the may sink lower and their body heat could reflect back. Also #2, someone who is hot- natured will be hot-natured on these beds. 3. Some mattresses protectors trap the heat. Try taking off your mattress protector. Depending on brand and style that sometimes helps. Lastly. The good greatly exceeds the negative. Tempurpedics respond to body heat and therefore helps relieve pressure points. Some styles more than others. The fact the mattress warms up a bit due to one's body heat helps with this phenomenon. The beauty of this in turn allows most people to sleep longer without waking up as much due to the discomfort on most other beds. Here where it gets interesting. Because one is sleeping longer the body will warm up due to the better circulation one is experiencing. As the body wakes up the body cools down. So, someone could be warmer on the mattresses but it is a good thing. Try sleeping with less bed clothing and less bedding. A thin blanket, etc.

I have purchased a tempur-pedic queen size mattress in Mathis Brother at
Oklahoma City. The Sales Representative Diane E. Dougher told me that there
are two free pillows come with the purchase of the mattress. I asked her if the
model of comfort pillow queen size is free, then she told me that others models
may have a charge, but the comfort pillow queen size is free. Then I purchased
the mattress and go online to Mathisbrothers.com to order the two free
pillows. It turns out there is a $60 dollars charge each on the comfort
pillow queen size, that's $120 total! I called her back to ask about it.
She then changed what she said, " I told you there maybe a charged on the pillow."
and she denied what she said about the comfort queen pillows are free. She then sent me to
her manager. I told her what Diane told me, but the manager covered up what Diane
said. She told me I could return the mattress but there is a 10% restocking
fee. She kept saying her sales representative is professional, but why
didn't Diane E. Dougher read through the detail before she started selling
a mattress which is over $1600? Diane E. Dougher even hang up on their customer.
In a conclusion, if anyone went to MathisBrothers at Oklahoma City again, please
beware of what the sales representative tell you or promise you, especially
Diane E. Dougher, because she is not professional as a sales representative.
