Reedsport Les Schwab: Complaint to HQ phone [protected].
First time. Tire flat. Took off rim said that they could not fix because not enough tread and I needed a new tire and because it was a 4x4 I needed all four. I schooled the manger and the employee of the difference between a 4x4 and an all wheel drive (AWD) got mad and left, later bought from Les Schwab in Eugene. Went on internet said what happened and dropped from the five stars Les Schwab had for years with me to four stars. I have had Les on all my vehicles since they first opened. I bought from, Antelope CA, North Highlands, CA, Sacramento Ca, Folsom CA for repairs and any vehicle, boat trailer, house trailer, car trailer, quad trailer and snowmobile trailer motorhome, Bronco, Truck and little pickup and Escort had their tires including my quad trailer here from Reedsport Les Schwab at a later date giving them a chance to make good. The new tire they sold me was two years old from manufacture date.
Date and cause of this complaint. 06/12/21.
Reedsport never screws the valve cap on the stem down tight or firm. Always turned only one or two threads. Bad ball joint replacement, twice and had to have the job done a third time at another shop because they said the top joints were worn out at 1, 500 miles and proved that they were sloppy. After repair at another store the truck has no front end slop and returns to zero when you let go of the wheel unlike Les Schwab where it would not return and would stick where you left it as well as wandered all over the road when the crown changed. I wasted over 1, 300.00 at schwab and countless hours of diagnosis at the Dodge dealership in Coos Bay and gas going to another schwab for them to tell me that something was wrong with the front end after Reedsport insisted it was ok. Florence store said that Reedsport had to fix it, it was their job to fix it and make it right first. I told Reedsport of the conversation and the manager acknowledged that he had talked in a managers meeting about our truck and would redo the job. The second time was just as bad as the first and why I went to another tire store to have it fixed right.
Today 06/12/21. States on document that odometer is not working on tracker today. It's a lie. I think that statement is there so if I bring in the vehicle for tire warranty they can continue their retaliatory actions and claim that the tires have more miles than the odometer shows because their documentation shows that the odometer was broken and I must have got the odometer fixed but the tires actually have more miles on them so oh well!.
I cannot trust this store. They just had the manager quit and replaced and I hoped things would change but it looks like the old help will continue with their retaliatory actions and nothing will change except who I will permanently do business with unless this gets fixed.
I am posting today, invoice to show the proof that they say the odometer is not working, the person who did the job, (Javier) again, air up and tire repair only and photos of the odometer showing that it works. I cannot do the video because I am to old to figure it out but I have it as proof if and when needed. This documentation is proof that they lie. I think my documentation also proves that I have been retaliated against.
Since the front end fiasco and the valve stem problems with Javier earlier this year I have purchased over 5, 000.00 in tires for my truck and motorhome from other dealers and not Les Schwab. I hope they get the message or maybe their employee actions show they just don't care. Reedsport is the only tire store in our town. I guess if they have the advantage they feel that they can do anyone anyway they want and there is nothing you can do about it. Oh Ya? Not with this Marine.
Desired outcome: Give me my money back for the front ball joint replacement and fire some staff starting with Javier because it is obvious he did not learn in training and will be a problem in the future.
