We made reservations for a party of 4, It was our 47th anniversary. My wife has been going thru Chemo and just finished radiation. Her hair has fallen out and her head is all sore and red. She was wearing a head covering that cancer patient's use. When we arrived, the manager asked my wife to remove her head cover. We explained she could not, and he said we could not be seated. He then said we can eat in the bar area. We decided to leave after this totally rude treatment. We have been going to the one in Fort Worth for years with never any issues. there is nothing on the website about head coverings and we were properly dressed. He also said if it was a Tuesday maybe but not on a Saturday which was one of the stupidest things I ever heard. I do not want to hurt this business because the employees did nothing wrong, but this manager needs to be trained in compassion.
Claimed loss: very bad experience and unbelievable discrimination and stress on us
Desired outcome: do not want this to happen to anyone ever. And buy back my gift cards.
Ruth Chris called from Florida and apologized and said the manager was wrong. I accepted
Our way was to make reservations show up have a nice quiet dinner. my wife has been thru hell for over three years and is the most decent human being you can ever meet. this guy hurt her badly. My wife apologizing to us for spoiling our evening. maybe rude is the wrong choice but he wasn't very decent.
Ruth's Chris Steak House - Subject: unpleasant experience at your establishment on 12/2
Dear Ruth Chris Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your establishment on the night of December 2nd to celebrate my birthday.
Upon entering, I was asked to remove my hat, which left me feeling disrespected, especially since my hat was an integral part of my outfit for the occasion. This was particularly perplexing when I observed other patrons in the dining room wearing T-shirts, athletic wear, and even witnessed one woman walking barefoot with her shoes in hand.
I believe in consistent rules, and the disparity in enforcement left me feeling frustrated. Even in places like a church, where hats are generally allowed, there seems to be more leniency. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the establishment was questionable, with one patron walking barefoot through what felt like an unkempt environment.
The experience was marred further by what I perceived as rude behavior from both management and staff. I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider revisiting your policies to ensure a more consistent and respectful experience for all patrons.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Scott
