Received Notice Of Claim for my unit from this location (Public Storage 3300 Basswood Blvd, Ft Worth TX 76137). The letter indicates amount due, and includes a late fee. The letter states that this amount (as shown on the letter) MUST be made within 15 days AFTER the mailing date of the letter. I logged onto my account online and paid that exact amount shown on the "Notice of Claim" letter, and did so within 8 days of the date of the letter. ONE DAY LATER, Public Storage returned my payment to my bank, in the form of a direct deposit, without explanation. I have contacted Public Storage corporate and am awaiting a response. This location never has anyone there. You cannot reach anyone if you go to this location. In addition they do not answer their phones. You can only leave a message. When I originally rented from them I was told that I was REQUIRED to buy one of their locks for my unit, and that I was REQUIRED to buy their insurance. I have since learned that neither is true. Contents my be insured, but you are allowed to have your own insurance coverage (which I do). I will never refer anyone to this location.
Desired outcome: I demand to know WHY my payment was returned back to my bank, when it is the exact amount shown on the Notice Of Claim. There is a balance showing online of $15 still owing that I have no idea what it is for.

The Basswood location has a terrible property manager I suspect she has used my information to commit credit card fraud. A few days after I used my new credit card never used any place else but Public Storage on Basswood Fort Worth the new card was hit several times on a cash app. In fact, I always pay online strange but every credit card I have used to pay my rent has been hacked and attempted to use my information to add an additional user to my credit card accounts. Two of my major credit cards were successful adding two users. Thank God the credit cards could only come to my home address. I have been at that location 12 years my troubles started because I havent been there in at least three years to check on my unit. Like many I have spoken to after All Storage sold out to Public Storage the rates have gone up sky high. Anyway, when I got there the manager was rude and acted funny when I asked for my gate information, I explained how long it had been since I last visited. I didn't have a good feeling about this property manager at all nothing like working with All Storage. I finally got a card with my gate information all the card had is her first name I thought how strange you are a property manager and no last name very strange especially when I ask her to write her last name on the Public Storage card. She got angry with me and told me she didn't have to give me that information I just shook my head in disbelief and continued on to check out my 12x40 unit with doors on both sides. I immediately noticed my Brinks locks were missing and two oddball locks were now on both roll up doors. I went back inside and told the manager what I saw she looked really strange again and ask what I expected her to do. I stold her I had big concerns about the contents and would come back and cut the locks myself also bring back new locks. I did go back the first trip I was using a cordless grinder I got two locks off the west side roll up door before the battery went dead. I raised up that door and was shocked at the amount of dirt that had accumulated. I saw a clear path where someone had crawled over boxes inside recently, so I was really upset. I saw the manager outside and told her to my surprise she told me she didn't cut off any locks nor go inside my unit? I never accused nor said I thought she did she was really jumpy? I went back I think the next day with two batteries and opened the east side roll up door. I again could see where my unit had fresh movement over the boxes closet to the door. Very sad my diseased moms prize ceramic clown collection was trampled, and everything was broken. The manger again after I told her what I saw asked if I was accusing her? I said no she told me my payment was due I always pay online but I just got a new credit card and decided to go ahead and make my payment with her. Anyway, while I was there in I decided to check who could have access to my unit if anything happened to me. I clearly saw my contact information including my driver's license information. She took my credit card from me and processed everything herself? I didn't receive a receipt I was upset about my unit and wasn't thinking clearly. I left and a few days later that new credit card only used at Public Storage on Basswood June 3rd was hit with online charges for cash app. In fact, using my credit card information a two credit cards arrived at my home address with a guy and a woman added as additional users. Now every credit card used to pay Public Storage has been hacked for money or purchases. I have never used autopay ever for Public Storage or the previous All Storage. July 1st another credit card was used to make the July payment using autopay I never approved nor the credit card that was used. It's a long and disgusting story all the hell I have gone through with the lies and promises made trying to clear this up with Public Storage crooked customer service late charges even filed a storage lien on my unit adding more fees every day. Every time I called, I recorded, and time dated every conversation. Just yesterday I was told all the late charges would be removed if I went ahad and paid the balance that included a hundred-dollar late charge plus more late fees and a lien charge. All lies nothing was removed I paid what I was told to pay and after making the payment as promised another $132.00 was still on my account. I spoke with law enforcement today and a local TV station who wants to come to my home and look at all my emails, credit card information and all of my recorded conversations full of lies I mean I have been lied to. 'm well respected a 72b year old man that now has cases for credit card fraud and identity theft as well. It doesn't stop today two more credit cards had attempts to send cash. July the credit card company who paid the July payment not authorized by me took my information and referred it to their fraud department for investigation this was a payment made on autopay not approved by me in fact when I went in to make my July payment I was confused as to why the payment was already made. The major bank I guess at some point reviewed my statement and reversed the charge because on July 9th another charge was made on the card. Long story short my credit life has been turned upside down I never had one issue ever with any fraud or credit card issues until I made my payment in person at Public Storage I can never say for sure, but I can say a manager who want to give her full name has all of my important information right in front of her s a little hard to not have my suspicion's. What I have concluded is I plan to vacate Public Storage as soon as possible. Until I can move things away from both roll up doors, I want to know what may be missing or more damage to my parents' things. I reached out to social media and have received a great deal of feedback regarding Public Storage on Basswood and how they jumped up the rates. Again, in over twelve years with the same unit never been late. I'm working with different credit card fraud agents to zero in on who did this horrible thing to me and my good credit. I want answers and someone in jail or anyone else involved. I'm hiring a private investigator to run a background check. If you or anyone you know have been lied too or credit card fraud, call the Fort Worth Police and file a report. I have been raped here with unjustified late charges telling me everything would be taken care of in 24 hours only to wait and have additional late charges and I couldn't believe filed a lien on my unit also I have used a credit card for every payment now it's my bank account only? My bank told me not to give out any information I have been very sick and had no choice but to use my checking account twice. I'm very nervous that Public Storage now has my routing number and account number as well. I have contacted the Texas Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, Police and a TV station I hope to interview with next week. You don't have to take this from Public Storage I reached out to the District Manager and no call back. I will do everything legal to make others aware how Public SORAGE TAKES CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS THEY ABSOLUTELY LIE AND DFON"T CARE THEY WANT TO STICK IT TOO YOU
