I have no words to describe the service at the Conn's store in Hwy 6, Houston, TX. Not only I had a horrible experience buying a gas range on December 4th, where I promised I would never set foot on that store again, but did go again a second time to purchase set of wireless earbuds for my husband yesterday, giving it another chance. Big mistake. I had to cancel the order for the gas range, since they lied to me and were extremely unhelpful. I found the same stove at Best Buy and got it delivered two days later. The district manager of Conn's was extremely unhelpful. I complained about this and later received a $50 gift car, which was why I went to buy these Sony earbuds last night.
The manager that had assisted me with the stove issue, Renee Elaine, was there last night. Another employee helped me out and took me to the register to pay. Renee was helping a couple, and it was very interesting to see how she was telling them the same lies about their order and the delivery, same as they did with me. I felt like telling them they were better off cancelling the order and going someplace else, but I didn't. Anyways, Renee recognized me after she had finished, and gave me a very sarcastic greeting.
I gave the cashier the gift card, and it was like they had seen a ghost. No one knew how to use a gift card. I stood there for 45 minutes while all 6 employees of the store and Renee were trying to figure out how to apply a gift card to a purchase. It was so ridiculous and exhausting that I told the salesman that if they did not figure it out in the next five minutes, I would leave and not purchase anything. But they did and I was able to purchase the item.
It was hilarious that I made a remark about never setting foot in that store again, and one of the employees said that if he didn't have to pay bills he wouldn't set foot in that store either. That speaks volumes of the piece of crap this company is.
I don't wish to receive any more gift cards or anything related to Conn's. But I did want you to know that I will leave these reviews on every single social media and website that I can find. People need to know how this company works, the lies, the false advertising and the way they fool people into buying stuff and then not being able to deliver the products. Someone from your customer service department explained to me how that worked, and it is definitely not the best customer service.
