Cracker Barrel - Grievance on wrongful termination

I am writing this letter to lodge a formal grievance regarding the discharge on 3/23/2024 of David Mundine.

My son David Mundine was fired from Cracker Barrell on 3/23/2024 in a very unprofessional way in Sheman Tx. He was called in the office the paperwork was already written up and never asked his side of the issue/concern. They handed him the paperwork to sign. This store has people of different ethnic background, and they joke with each other and maybe jokes were taken out of content among co-workers. The management only listened to one side this causes a hostile environment when issues are not dealt with in a professional way. He offered to help a young lady with car repairs and she turns it into a flirting with her situation. He loves repairing cars and is very good at it and has a kind heart. There is nothing in writing, no text no concrete evidence. This is a miscarriage of justice. There were no write ups no effort put in trying to resolve any concerns. After reading employees complaints about Cracker Barrell this is ongoing way things are dealt with by management. There is a great need for better training, so no other employee ever deals with unfair treatment and gossip being used to terminate an employee employment. The writer believes that the dismissal was wrongful and is seeking a thorough review of the decision. My son felt like nobody even really cared to hear his side of the story or put much effort in finding out the truth. The employee could have been written or at the least talked with before this drastic of a step was taken. The reason he was fired would never hold up in a court of law because it has not substance or factual documents to support being terminated.

Desired outcome: Managment review the wrongful termination and make corrections to the employee and apologize about the handling and listening to gossip and creating a hostile environment.
