Look, to all who knocks this school. The one thing is ... you get what you put into it. This is not a 4year college. The education is training and only a stepping stone.
Yes, this school has no real education transfer credits to a college (Heck, I had one college tell me that my A.O.S. degree is only a piece of paper) and is a school for adults. So, for the people just out of high school. Go, to MWSU or go to Maryville.
The teachers are instructors only.
Save your money, if you are not in the current field of study or have a promise of a job, or your employer is paying for it. Don't go...
The training is of good quality. Some of the instructors are good, but the instructors that teach or read the book to the class only keep the students happy so to.. keep employment. The hard ones get sacked. Also, the placement person needs a real good attitude adjustment. If that person likes you well you know.
Beside, they will sign you name to a job placement either if it is real or not.
So, beward. If want real credit for your work then don't go here, but if you are a working person that needs a degree or training to get more money and they(employer is paying!) this is the place.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have to agree with you on this one and another story I read on this college. If I knew then what I know now or what I was starting to figure out I would not have ever enrolled there. I have a paperweight degree that never worked for me. I could be wrong but Im under the impression most employers will not hire Vatterott graduates.
Vatterott is a joke... and you are completely correct, this school is here to make money and they do a great sales pitch! This school has no REAL weight in the community and if you can earn your paper weight online, that is money better spent at your pace. I made a mistake by going here and during one of their classes I ended up injured due to the lack of knowledge the instructor had on the situation, but because of so many other issues suing them was out of the question. That would have just been more money spent and wasted in the name of this school, who is not worthy of anymore recognition, good or bad. I hope if you are considering this school for any reason please remember it is "CAREER TRAINING" that's it! No REAL credits are actually yours and anything you do there WILL NOT TRANSFER. And you leave with a HUGE BILL. However, if you just drop out... you no longer owe the school interest towards your in school account... not that this makes anything any better!
I think the people that are making these complaints are full of it I think when you made a choice to go to Vatterott, you should have also made the choice to do all it takes to make sure that you get the education that you are looking for. Vatterott college will only give you access to the materials you need to get that education. It is up to you how you apply yourself and what you do with the things you learn... Stop belly aching about having to apply yourself more than you are accustomed too!...and as far as the credits...well if you don't get your head in that material and learn how to do what you want than it's not going to make a bit of difference how many credit hours you have...Actions Speak Louder Than Words!
First off, some helpful advice to current and former Vatterott students on this site. Use spell check! And learn to structure a coherant sentence too! How can you be taken seriously by a potential employer, or people in general, if you cannot spell or communicate effectively? With this being said, private technical schools like Vatterott, Wyotech, U.T.I., and the many others are notorious scam artists. In my over 30 years of working in industry, I've never met a Vatterott, U.T.I., or Wyotech graduate, or for that matter, any of the many private business college graduates, who were worth much in the workplace. I think these types of schools go after the less motivated and less academically inspired students to begin with. I interviewed for an Adjunct Instructor position at Vatterott's local campus, and I can honestly say, I was not impressed from the moment I walked into their building. The interview began with the Program Director. This young man had deplorable grammar, and looked like he had a major case of "meth mouth". I then interviewed with the Dean, a middle age obese woman with the personality of a dishrag. She got off on a feminist rant about how the program had no female students (so kick your lazy donut dunking recruiters in the rear end and go after female students then!). I finally met with the Campus Director, who was the most professional of the three, but he did a quick cursory interview and then left. They had nice new equipment, I will grant them that, but the program was crammed into a small corner of the building. After being dismissed by Ms. Personality (Dean), I ran out of the building and drove away thanking God that I did not work for them!

Johnnie i attended Vatterott in 2008 HVAC/R program. I worked hard and took everyday serious. After completion of 2nd phase i beleive its time to decide is this for me or isnt. I signed and locked in i was carrying a 4.0 feeling good learning functions of various equipment, got our EPA certification and them BAM! Vatterott ofallon campus was moving. Instead of waiting until current enrolled classes were finished, this now became HVAC/R lab and book work. It came time phase 3 final, we were still moving from ofallon to st.charles, not a clue from this point on what we were testing on or lor what we were suppose to learning. Phase 4 on, were taught by each of the 3 instructors that we there. The final exam the entire test answers except a few were written on the board.
HVAC/R class of 2010 ofallon campus, who moved to St.charles should without a doubt be releived of their student loan. At least from 3rd phase on.
Johnnie Wilson, you think i made this up or that im full of it. It was a joke we. had 3 different. Instructors during this time Robert, Tom, scott, justin. Tom being the one with the best instructors. I complained yo the office via grivence forms. The whole class was filing them. Cassie was the leader of the scam. Was told that they had over 50 HVAC /R contractors that scout students, job placement of 90%. Charles was job recruiter, i was offered one job, it was a material handler in a factory. NOTHING to do with HVAC/R. Was ENROLLED in NCCER completed course. Never recieved certificate. Not only was i mislead and lied to, i was interupted by being forced into being free mover, for Vatterott. I am being charged interest credit is jacked, ill send 10 - 15$ every now and again. Im just praying more come forward and put sn end to Vatterotts scam
Everyone that got scammed by Vatterott and that is still dealing with loans you should look up the borrower defense lawsuit because they're going to have to pay a lot of us back if we apply. The information is being hidden everywhere and I don't want to get erased for sharing the site but be sure you look it up now. The site isn't loading very often since it's probably getting tons of traffic but it is worth it to keep trying until you can get this taken care of.
