All I want to do is cancel my account with Vista. I have asked multiple times for a confirmation email to state that all payments will stop and account is inactive. I have called and emailed, with no response.

I am acting on behalf on my aged parents. My mother is blind and both parents suffer from Dementia and are therefor cared for. 4 years ago someone came to their house and had my blind mother sign a 10 year lease on a hot water gas tank. Last summer I changed the furnace, hot water tank and air conditioner. Vista credit would not let my parents out of the contract/ lease without a 2300$ buyout. They have continued to be deducted 38$ monthly even though the tank has been replaced. Not sure what to do?

They are pressuring me to pay $149.02 with no explanation as to what the charges are and what their contract that I never agreed to entails. I called them to request this information and they refuse to send me a bill and will only send me a contract by mail. *** I never signed a contract and only moved into the property as of March 31st. They have never contacted me until they demanded payments.

About 8 and half year's ago, I was approached by a door to door saleman, saying his company could install a hot water tank without installation fee and no contract. At the completion of installation, I was presented a contract and I signed it without reading it carefully. Today,I called Vista and inquired about the options when 10 years contract ends, I was told I can return the product to them, but have to ship to Ottawa rather than in Toronto area as the installer was from a company located in Toronto area 8 and half years ago. Or I have to buy it at the cost of $122.45. I can't never understand why I have to buy the 10 year's old tank after the contract is over?

I recently purchased a new construction property from builder " ***" in Oshawa, ON. Builder has contract to install hotwater tank rental with Vista Credit. Before my closing i reached out to Vista Credit support team to remove hot water tank from property as price is too high ( monthly & buyout).They mentioned they dont have my details yet as property is not closed and not under my ownership. During closing i signed the contract paper as i have 10 days cooling period to negotiate with Vista Credit team. After closing, I again called them and asked them to remove equipment from the property as they are charging double the price and they are declining my request saying I have to pay since you signed the contract.

We purchased a home 7 years ago and assumed a contract (from the previous owners) for a tankless water heater from Vista Services. We having paying for the water heater monthly and knew we were close to having it paid off, however there was no info about that on the bill. We called them and found out the contract had ended in November however Vista Services continued to bill us. When we asked them about a refund for the payments that had been made since November and June, their response was this: "In your contact you have two options after the 120 months of rental, one is to continue to rent the other is to purchase the unit for its residual value of $49.95 plus HST. If you do not contact Vista about your options we continue to bill monthly." I have this in email directly from Vista Customer Service. So they basically continue to charge you for something you had already paid for unless you call them, but there is zero transparency offered by them in terms of when the rental comes due. As well, negative billing is an appalling business practice, this company should not even be in business. We could not get a refund on the rental charge for those 6 months, however if we had called them we could have paid $49 to discharge it and that would have been it. Does that seem right to you?

I bought my house in the fall of 2020
I bought my house in the fall of 2020. Part of the purchase agreement was to assume the contracts of the rental items which included a hot water tank from Vista Credit. I was not given a copy of the rental contract before signing the agreement of purchase of the house nor while signing papers at the lawyer. I only found out afterwards what the terms and conditions and pricing of the hot water tank rental contract were which were completely unacceptable. The previous owner signed the contract with Vista Credit on the 13th of June and Vista Credit rented the hot water tank for an amount payable of $5313.10 over 10 years. Vista Credit included the retail price of the hot water tank and quoted it to be $2415.00 I contacted Vista Credit before the closing date to assume the rental (even though per the terms of the contract the seller was supposed to do so). They only gave an option to buyout or to assume the rental. By their own quoted price, not to mention that it is double the average retail price of a hot water tank at ***, Vista Credit has commited *** price gouging by charging me multiple times the value of the hot water tank which is a complete ***. I have not yet reached out to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services but plan on doing so if this dispute is not resolved satisfactorily.

We purchased a new build and moved in April , included in the contract to purchase was a contract with Vista Services for hot water tank rental. Early October I noticed that the cold water pipe which was covered up with a pipe protector was starting to degrade and rust. I reached out to Vista and was told to call the service company ***. This was the email I sent Vista after talking to the repair company: I called the service company for the problem with our water heater and they informed me that our issue (a corrosion of the cold water connection to the tank) is not covered under warranty. How is this possible? When we are paying a rental fee that is well above the cost of the unit. I have owned 2 previous homes and have never had an issue with maintenance being covered under warranty not mention I have never had a corrosion issue like this before especially within the first 4 years of use. I am understandably livid that the product Vista sold to us, is not guaranteed to be in proper working order by the company. What exactly am I paying for? I have read the contract and gone through the installation manual and did not see anything that would suggest that we were responsible for a faulty unit. The person at Vista I was in touch with wrote back that since we were one of many in our neighbourhood experiencing this rusting pipe problem, further investigation was required. I then sent them photos and since October 30 have heard nothing further. I have sent follow up emails only to be ignored.
