My family and I visited waffle House on Dupont highway in Camden Delaware just outside Dover, when we entered there 1 table with 2 females sitting, all the other tables were empty but they all were dirty as the plates haven't been picked up.The waitress told us to sit anywhere and she would come clean table, after sitting there waiting I observed the cook go outside and sit in her car then about the same time the waitress started talking on her cell phone, I believe she was speaking to the cook because she was looking at the vehicle she was sitting in. Finally we have had enough of being disrespected and left the restaurant, once outside my family and I had to walk beside the vehicle cook was sitting in she had her door slightly open and also on phone but the most disturbing thing is she was sitting in a cloud of marijuana smoke that was also all around my vehicle.I had my 2 young children with me 13.14 .I hope I can expect this to be addressed I didn't complain to management because I believe they care PLEASE ADDRESS THIS DRUG ISSUE YOU HAVE AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT

Came in and only one person acknowledged us. Emily I believe is her name. I watched as two people came in and again only Emily acknowledged them. They must have sat for close to five minutes before Emily got drinks even though she wasn't their waitress. One waitress had her two kids there while she worked. The cook looked and acted annoyed as hell to have to do anything. There was a black waitress but her name tag was not visible was more interested in her cell phone, texting and even answering a call. Emily was stocking the to go containers and trying to help. The waitress that brought her kids was obviously taking inventory. This was the worst ever service received from a Waffle House! The black waitress even was cussing in front of customers which another waitress told her to watch her mouth. Very poorly run shift. I would be embarrassed to have this staff in my establishment, except for Emily.

I just placed a to go order of three. After looking online and then placing my order from the "Value Dollar" menu. One order that was placed was a pecan waffle with sausage the total came to $7.66. My complaint is that a reprint not an itemized receipt was given to me and I was told that they didn't provide an itemized receipt and got only two receipts as shown below. Nor was I told that there was a 10% gratuity on orders to go. Not that I wouldn't have mind giving a tip, but don't take one without my concent.
When I called back to speak with someone about my concern the lady that took my order(Heather) answered the phone and was quite rude when I question it. I'm very disappointed and after this experience I will not be returning to Waffle House 430.
unethical behavior
8-31-2018 We took our grandson and his fiance to lunch today at this store. This involves cook Cierra and Server Beverly. Our service was very kind and making sure we got all we had ordered. The server was standing behind the cook and ask her to put cheese on the hamburger we ordered the cook got very angry and tossed the hamburger to the side and told our server to get the F--- out of her face loud. We were appauled, we ask to speak with the manager and he came to our table and said he was sorry but did not act that upset. He sent the girl home and after the manager all the waitresses said she only had 15 min left on her schedule, our server was crying - they said this happens daily and nothing will be done about it. This breaks our heart as all the girls were stating this happens daily and nothing is ever done. The waffle house has always been a favorite and we always look for this place because it is a happy place and affordable. We are locals. I hope you will seriously see what is happening at that store and get that rude angry person out of there to improve the feelings of all in that store - a good manager would never let this happen. Hello JP, I met you before at the Waffle House on Jake Alexandria in Salisbury. Your Manager Donna and your Waitress Q where standing at the sink and dishwasher are of the Restaurant. It was last Friday when I enter the Waffle House Both of them looked at me and was talking about me and laughing and carrying on. I got only a couple of Greetings when I walk through the door and my husband coming in behind me, it's all on Camera and then we sat at a booth and all of sudden Your Manager Donna walks through the doors and says Hi, How are you'd doing? I said, to her you seen us come through the door. Also, The day before Donna is helping the cooks and my order was messed up again and she is speaking loud and says someone who ever it is pick up this plate now because the eggs are getting cold. It was my order and she serve me those cold eggs. I didn't eat them. Some breakafast I had that morning wheat toast. They gave me white toast. My Hashbrowns were not the way I like them cook. If you are a Manager and helping the cooks. You should know what plate is that customers? I seen a Waiter put a customers check and money that the customer left and Westly decides to put in his pocket. I reminded him you better cashed that check out. He says to me Thanks for reminding me. It's all on Camera. He works on 3rd Shift. You need to have a good Manager and good staff that can communicate with each other. You don't write someone else up and don't write up the other person something is wrong. By the way, Stacy, gave me a wrong phone number to get a hold of you. So, had to write it here so I know you will get my complaint.
sick from the food
Service was horrible, employees were arguing in front of customers the whole time, no one wanted to come to the register so that we could pay for our food and my husband and I both got sick after we left. This was the worst experience that I have ever had at a Waffle House! Waited a while for a booth, sit down to a dirty table, waitress arguing with her son that also works there, waitress took our order to never give to them to fix. Waited and waited. She would just look at us and not say a word. As we are listen to the rest of the staff arguing. After finally getting our half cold, not cooked all the way food, we go home to us both throwing up!

I am a huge fan of Waffle House but I may not be showing up to the one near me anymore. A waitress there has been bullying me (and me specifically) whenever I go there. She won't let me play songs on the Waffle House jukebox (she runs over and blocks me from playing anything), she refuses to give me certain menu items when she will give the people I am with the menu item and when I complain, I never get the menu item. She also makes extremely rude comments to me and talks down on me like I'm some sort of child.

Michelle came to take our order then asked us to wait a minute. She then proceeded to do everything but take out order. The couple that came in just prior and ordered got their food before we got another waitress to take out order. Michelle never even came back to check on us. Kelli was awesome and took care of us! Michelle needs some training in not ignoring her customers. And Kelli got an awesome tip from all at my table!

I work night shifts over at a warehouse just 2 minutes away from this Waffle House location. I usually make a stop there for lunch maybe once or twice out the week. My break is only 30 minutes so my time is limited. Tonight i go up there and there's no cook outside. I video taped the cook walking inside minutes after i ordered. This needs to be handled. Plenty of nights i came there and everyone is standing outside smoking a cigarette with the door locked. This is poor customer service and i feel like these employees need more supervision. I know for a fact they wouldn't be doing these things if someone was watching them.
no steak chicken pork chops and salads
The store at 3.30 pm had no steaks, chicken, and only one pork chop. Their was three of us rying to order dinner 2 wanted pork chop dinner and one a steak dinner. I ask then if they had chicken and the answer was no . the waitress advised that the manager went home and did not take items out of the freezers. Then we proceeded to order my mother took the one pork chop they had left then was told no salad either. So she ended up with one pork chop and eggs. My brother ended up with a hamberger instead of a steak dinner. And I ended up with a Philly sandwich which what none of us wanted. We wasted 34.00 at this restaurant. I believe we should be replaced the dinner we came and to eat for dinner. I also wanted to let you know there was 3 waitress and a cook and they all said they would not call the manager so a lot of people from 3.30 on ok

Sunday 2:30pm. I come into the Morgan City Louisiana location. I request Coffee and a water as I've been doing a lot lately and for 10years.
As some woman who was to take order kept cleaning dishes. I asked "Is coffee ready"? Yes her reply. Can I get some? I'll bring it when I take your order. I get up to leave and she asks. Is anything wrong. Yeah I want coffee. It's our policy to only bring it after you order.
WT? I've never had anything less me this happen in Waffle House. Nor will I again.

Me and my son went to store 229116 on 8/12/18 check out was between 9 915 everything was good, them I go to pay my bill with my debt card. 21.26 was the bill I left a 7 dollar tip which is 32 almost 33 percent. As we go to walk out our server yalls out ooo 7 dollars which was just uncalled for and disrespectful. If my son was not with me I would have took that tip off and gave nothing! Im disgusted with your company and the people that represents your company and the store.

The management at this store is is very unprofessional. She talks about the employees issues among other employees and plays favorites with family members she has employed in her store.The store is constantly out of things needed for third shift because the management doesn't pull the items from the back before she leaves. I feel that the store is slowly going down hill since the unit manager has been in this store. The store has went through employees after employees because the people are realizing there is no set rules for every employee, it is different for certain employees.

A friend and I went to the Waffle House on north 18th street in monroe Louisiana. As we entered We found a seat and sat for a little over fifteen minutes without anyone coming to the table to greet or even take our drink orders. We watched as other tables walked in and were taken care of while we still sat there. I was highly disappointed and extremely upset. We left after realizing that none of the employees wanted to serve us.
overcharging sales tax on everyone's bill, health code issues and unethical behavior
My husband and I went to the Waffle House #596 in Crossville, TN on 8/2/18. I couldn't believe what happened on our visit!
First, things seemed ok. We ordered and got our food and things were going ok. Next, one of the employees came out of the bathroom holding up a blouse that someone had left in the bathroom. She went table to table asking if anyone left it in the bathroom. It was brand new and still had the tags on it. It was a flowery lace long sleeved button up blouse. No one claimed it.
A few minutes later there were about 5-6 employees laughing and cracking up behind the counter. I looked up and saw the white male cook with glasses, put on the blouse and several employees whipped out their phones and were taking pictures of him. I thought, what is happening? What if the person who owned that blouse were to come back and ask if someone handed it in? She would have gotten her brand new blouse back that had been worn by a male employee who had been cooking all morning and sweating and put her shirt on as a joke. I didn't like that at all! Where is the basic respect for someone else's things?
Next, our waitress gives us our check without asking us if we wanted or needed anything else, which I thought was rude. She just wanted to get back to the shenanigans happening behind the counter. The manager was even standing there watching the whole thing.
Then, there were two employees who went outside for a smoke break. When they came back inside, they went straight to handling silverware and napkins, without ever washing their hands. What was worse, is that a manager was standing at the door watching both of them the whole time and never told them to wash their hands or anything! That has to be some kind of health code violation.
Finally, we got up to pay and, on the check, it had a 10% sales tax. I asked my husband, "Isn't our sales tax 9.75%"? He said yep. So, I asked the girl at the checkout, what is the sales tax? She said it was 9.75%. I said, well, the waitress put 10% tax on our bill. Our bill was $17.90 and tax was $1.79. Granted, not a huge difference in pay, but I thought I would ask her about it. She said that she was trained to just put 10% sales tax because it was easier to add up on the handwritten receipt. Really? That is illegal! She said that the manager said they could not use any calculators and she said it was too difficult to figure out the tax in their heads, so they were told to just charge 10% sales tax to make it easy. She said she would work it out if we really wanted it refigured. At that point, I asked her if they offer a Veteran's discount. She said yes, and said, "So I will just take the 10% tax off and leave it at that". So, I still don't know what the veteran discount was and was so flustered by that time, I paid the bill and left. I just could not believe they would be ripping off customers like that. If you average 5cents per customer, times about 150 per day, for a year, that store is making over $2700 per year! Crazy and illegal! Wouldn't that store have a surplus of money (somewhere) if all of the checks and balances were done each night on the registers?
Waffle House Headquarters really need to keep better tabs on how the individual stores are doing business before the whole company gets sued for ripping folks off. No telling how long this has been going on. I was very disappointed in the whole visit, as I have enjoyed Waffle Houses elsewhere in the United States.
The resolution I would like to see is health codes issues addressed, this Waffle House probably needs training on health codes and respect for the customer items that may be left behind. Also, they need to teach the waitresses how to use a calculator and let them use it, so the correct sales tax is on each bill instead of overcharging.
Waffle House is notorious for hiring ghetto dirty people, who smoke marijuana and sell different types of drugs by the employees. I would never trust this place. Not very hygienic at all. Most of the locations I have been to were not impressive at all. Talk about health codes, this place is probably getting so many people sick. I would never eat there. Smoking employees going straight to cook food for you without washing their hands, it’s just too gross. Can’t jeopardize my family’s health just because these guys have no simple manners.
Aldo the managers are jokers at Waffle House. No customer service skills at all. They don’t care either. They just want to chill most of the time and not do anything. While garbages are full and stinky and they are standing around doing nothing. I never knew how to complain to corporate office.

I was moved to another store because Ara stated that couples weren't allowed to work together in the same store. Now all of a sudden it's fine for couples to work together in the same store? Canal street has a couple working together and so does Stumpf. At Canal it's mini and her mate and at Stumpf it Brittney and Chanel and they use the same home address? Where is the equality? Ara runs her district the way she wants to run it, not the Waffle House way. And when Jessica comes down to investigate situations nothing ever seems to get done. The New Orleans district has gone straight downhill and Canal St was the best location. Now I go in there, everyone's intoxicated on something. It's ridiculous!

I've lived near this waffle house since it was built.
First time I've ever felt like I should have ate somewhere else.

There were three people in our party on Thursday at the Sidney Marcus location store 1276. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated because all of the available tables were dirty. Once the waitress was available to clean the table she called a party of two that came in after us too seat them. Another waitress came out to clean another but had to stop to go checkout another customer. At this we were totally confused after waiting about 30 minutes. So was asked can someone please come clean our table. The older waitress comes out with an attitude and finishes cleaning the table. After bring seated we decided to leave due to the horrible service thus far. One friend asked what was the problem the waitress stated people called out and the manager wasn't there? Regarding the waffle house location at 101 Brook Ln, Spring Lake, NC 28390. This store has to be the absolute worst waffle house I've been in. Granted the typical WH food is nothing to speak about anyway however, this store takes it to a new level of nasty. I have frequented this location several times over the past month each time hoping it gets better but it doesn't. now the staff is nice enough and the place is well its a waffle house what can I say but, The food is below sub par. Each time I've been in its progressively worse. I generally visit this store around 6am and the crew on s hift has been there al lnight and complaining about the hours and how tired they are and it shows when you order and the food is floating in grease that is coating the bottom of the plate/bowl and was scraped from the grill so that there are crunchy black pieces of grill brick that are included (free of charge) from where the person at the grill was cleaning it and didn't bother to wipe it off and just scrapped it with te same spatula they then use to prepare your food. The same food that when brought to the table is A. floating in grease, B. undercooked ( egg white still clear and runny on an over medium?) and the bread and or biscuit with a burnt ring around the edge. Not to mention the EXTRA Crispy bacon that is barely cooked and soggy and droops when you pick it up. There is a SERIOUS lack of decent food at that location and needs to be address before someone else gets sick like I did a week ago after leaving the WH and heading straight home and to the bathroom where i was sitting on it for the next 20 minutes before going to the clinic. This location is ABSOLUTELY UNSAT food is not only gross its dangerous. Eating grill brick and old nasty oil with god knows what else in it not to mention the undercooked food is in no way acceptable or safe.

I arrived at Waffle House Number 1401 to find Jay (last name unknown) was yelling at Eric and threatening to write him up for not washing the dishes that Jay had left there from his shift. Jay threatened to write Eric up and told him that he would never get promoted. I do not like bullies, nor bigots. Jay was white and Eric, black. I, too, am Caucasian. I can only assume Kay's actions were discriminatory because there was no other reason for him to berate Eric. Eric did a fine job waiting on me. He followed through with Jay's request because Jay is a shift manager. I shall confer with my constituents at the Labor Board to see if this warrants further investigation. Meanwhile you may want to inform Jay that in a world full of media, yes I recorded it, that he should watch how he treats others.
