On the evening of Oct 9 we stopped at Waffle House #1329. I am not sure of the location as we were on our vacation. Upon entering the restaurant the place was teeth chattering cold. I asked the waitress why it was so cold and she said it was because WHEN (which they were not) they get busy the wait staff gets hot. I remarked that I would think it would be important to keep your customers comfortable. She said there was only off/on no way to adjust temperature. I had to go to the car and dig through suitcases to find jackets. I was not the only one thinking it was cold a elderly couple also confided to me that they were cold. We have stopped at several WaffleHouses and found that this must be a corporate decision to have your customers shiver through their meals. You might want to take in consideration to making it a comfortable environment for BOTH customer and employees.
overcharged for food
Ticket #[protected] date 10/5/18 time 11:46. I was over charged for a bacon, cheese and eggs grit bowl. The waitress charged me the price for the hash brown bowl which was $7.10. I didn't have half the food as the hash brown bowl did. I would like another order or at least the difference for my order and I didn't get any toast with my order. Poor service on the waitress part. I only pay at least $4.00 for that order. I don't think I was treated fair. She didn't ask me to upsize my order and took it upon herself to give me what I didn't want.

On Thursday night 10/4/2018 I Sharonda Wilkes started my 9pm shift. The restaurant was a mess. I came in to help clean up. I made the comment that 2nd shift needed to learn time management because the sales were really low. Kaylee asked me to take a to go order at phone but she refused to move for me to reach the phone. I weigh 235 and she is quite larger than I am. So she refused to move. The phone shortage cut the phone off. So I hung up phone and went to other end as Kaylee was telling me I had a bad attitude. I told the boss JB to please tell her to move so I could take order. He did nothing. Only laughed. I walked away. I told Kaylee I'm gonna go to other end. But she constantly followed behind me calling me Black [censored]es and stupid and lazy. She ridiculed my work ethics in front of customers. I was so embarrassed and I wanted to quit my job but I need it to care for my children. A make guest and his wife voiced that they would contact corporate and that I should too. I just want to work in peace. I don't want to be racially profiled or called Black [censored]es at work and I sure don't want my boss laughing and thinking it's ok. Please help me. Please. 2. Service was terrible:
Waitstaff was involved in personal conversations about family members in pretrial interventions rather than taking care of customers. No one was cleaning.
3. Food was cold. Grits had huge lumps. Tea was

We eat in jackson tn at casey jones lots. I debated if I wanted to call or submit a survey, as this occurred a few days ago. But when I came in again and saw the same lady with the same horrible attitude and potty mouth, I had to say something. On last week thursday I believe we are there between 830 and 930 pm. A young lady came in for work named sharonda. Great waitress might I add. She immediately started helping the others clean up. The place was a mess. Tonya was our waitress and gave us names because from the time sharonda came in kaylie gave her a hard time. She cursed sharonda. She called sharonda black [censored]. Stupid [censored]. So many horrible things. She called her lazy and sharonda kept walking away. Great job sharonda! No one should be treated like that at work! She even told the boss who was there. Jb but he found it rather hilarious! Well I didn't! We didn't! Sharonda kept walking away but kaylie just kept following her around saying ugly things to her. We decided to do something! Sharonda took over our table for tonya and we apologized to her for her co-workers treatment. I am so surprised sharonda didn't quit her job that night. Kaylie needs to be put back into training. Better yet! Fire her! She throws her weight around too much! She has horrible customer service skills. On our visits she is always cursing or complaining about something. But she took it too far by calling the lady [censored] on the floor and saying "bye felicia" to the point that another co-worker intervened. Her name was tameka I believe. But the boss who was a white man as was kaylie didn't seem to be bothered by kaylie's actions. I hope not to see kaylie or jb when we return on next tuesday. I will report racial comments and treatment to national association for the advancement of colored people. Naacp! But each time we come. We will request sharonda or eat elsewhere. Thanks

Orders ready but nones is baggibg the food. waitress asked what I had, looked at it and still didn't bag the food.
Don't really know what the issue is but it seems they are not supervised on how to get the food out in decent time. I waited over 25min and still didn't get my order.

Most waffle house seems to have a problem with getting orders out in decent time or not caring about the customers time or the quality of the food given.
I think the home office should go around and monitor the waitresses and cooks.

We are frequent customers at this store. Every time we come and Keith is here the store is very hot because he turns the air off or up to 80 or above. When we asked the servers to adjust the temperature they appear to be afraid to even ask him. That is very inconsiderate for the customers and those that work in this store.
I suggest that he wear heavier clothing so that everyone can be comfortable. Consider everyone involved and not just one person.

We had a horrible experience at our local waffle House yesterday. We sat a the bar, took forever to get our drinks, the counter was dirty & full of syrup I had to ask for a towel & clean it myself. Then the server & cook were arguing quite embarrassing to say the least. Food came it was good, but the server never came back & we had to pay w someone else. Very dissatisfied.

I have been on a no hire list for five years, hurricane florance came to sc, nc and i was asked if i could come back and i did bit as soon as the storm passsed i was back on the no hire list.. Funny how im able to work for waffle house during a storm but i cant get my fulltime job back.. After i was asked to quit the job i already had to come back...

At the location @3710 Riverdale Rd Memphis TN 38115; my fiance and I arrived around 12:45am. Place a steak and scrambled eggs with cheese, cheese on hash brown, and add a waffle; and an all star with cheese on eggs, grits, and hash brown. Around 1:30 we finally got a third of our order with no cheese added and no waffles. Around 1:45 finally got the cheese on everything; so at this point I was extremely hangry (hungry and angry). By 2 I requested for it all to go because all the food was several different temperatures. Get home and rewarmed my food, only to have seven ketchup packages but no syrup. I can't or won't eat waffles without syrup. So guess what I threw it all away, because if I were to reheat my food again it would become rubbery like. So I'm still hangry but refuse or too stubborn to go sit and wait on fast food at 2:40 in the morning. My feelings are hurt because my mouth is set on breakfast and cannot get it. I eat breakfast all day and waffle House takes me to my childhood but I will never eat there again because I feel like that location was playing with my food and I'm just a paying customer. I even walked out and waited in the car for over twenty minutes just to get it in a 2 go bag

When entered Waffle House the waiter came over with an attitude from the start and asked what I was drinking, I replied Coke please. she came back sit coke down now what do you want! Not what are we eating or can I get for you. But I told her the All Star meal, she asked how I wanted my eggs, i replied scrambled, she then ask about meat I told her Bacon And cooked medium please, never asked how I wanted my Waffle or if wanted one/ and the meal does come with one! Well finally she comes back sits my eggs down and bacon and walks away. Well never seen the lady again so I was finished with what meal I got and drink no refills cause she never came back around! By this time yes I am pissed off! so went to register to pay and told the lady when started ringing it up now wait, This is not what I got well by then Ms. Rudeness with her long black hair comes up and she says, He tells me he didn't get this she says [censored] I been trying and trying to get them to buy timers I am Sorry and she says I bet that Waffle is burnt and yes it was toast! She puts it in a to go container and hands it to me and they still charge me knowing that she forgot it and it was burnt but got charge for a full priced meal! Now who ever is reading this this is my first and last time in this one but I know the rest of the Waffle House's I been to are much more nicer and would have apologized and even took my Waffle off since she supposed to have forgot it! But this one needs some improvement bad to be new! And I hope you would feel as pissed off as me considering money is hard to come by especially on a fixed income and they still hand you a burnt Waffle to go! Not Only were they rude but did not do thier job cause ant other Waffle House would have checked on you at least til you are done eating and leaving then they even tell you to have a nice day or night not this one.
The Waffle House in Seymour is not worth the visit muchless spending the money on the food cause you want receive it til leaving then they will throw it in a to-go container Burnt to a crisp so they can still charge you for it. And at this time they was not even busy three people in the place including me. Also the long black haired lady is rude and has an attitude problem so be ware of her before entering.

I visited the waffle House located at 1050 East Dublin-Granville Rd in Columbus Ohio. Upon entering the place was empty of customers. I was under the impression that the staff was recovering from a major rush because all tables were dirty, the floor was dirty, the orange juice machine was filthy with left over pulp sticking to the sides and the bottom of the container. There was a foul smell of dirty rags in the air. We were seated at a table that was so sticky we had to wipe it ourselves. The food itself was no problem but the potential risk of cross contamination was alarmingly possible. I didn't finish my meal when it did arrive due to the Smell of dirty dish rags and the unsafe environment. There were people in and out of the facility that were not paying customers who were using the bathroom as washrooms and then leaving with the staff saying nothing. None of the staff addressed the issues of the dirty look of the store, the loitering not the Smell that was present. I haven't been to this location in years and I am shocked and appalled at the disregard in which the staff seemed to overlook. I truly wish that this facility can be turned around like the others. The far drive is a hassle but the peaceful atmosphere and clean environment is worth the drive.

We came to get the allstar but travis from the Davis St Scranton PA location charges us everything separate because we didn't want the meat in the allstar. He said " it's not allstar if you don't want the meat that comes with it." He charges $21 for a allstar and hash browns and chocolate chip waffle. It was suppose to be $14.

On Thursday 9/27 I came to Waffle House with two friends. We frequent this Waffle House, as we also work in the service industry and by the time work is over there aren't many options available for food. We love the security guard, the cooks, and most of the servers. However, there's always one server who seems to have an issue with us. We tip well, $11 on our $30 check last night alone, and being in the service industry we aren't troublesome, so I don't understand the lady's issue. Her name is Andrea and on this specific occasion we literally listened to her bad mouth us to another customer, that was fine we were just going to finish eating and leave, until she took the plates out from under us while we were actively eating off of them. Fork in hand my plate was removed with over half of a waffle still on it. Clearly there was no manager in the building or I would've tried to address this issue when it was happening.

I just found out the $ 5.00 & $ 7.00 Value Meals are now zero. Under 2 weeks they dropped them... Now here's the deal, you pay $ 5.00 & leave a $ 2.00 tip=$ 7.00.. Or you pay $7.00 & leave a $ 2.00 tip = $ 9.00 Still not bad.. I just went in the Alachua, Fl. store & got soaked for $ 8.00 breakfast + tax =$ 10.00 & a.50 cent tip... Your Menu people are acting like the Democrates... Now after 25+ years & a member of the Waffle House Senior Discounts Preferred Customers & receive Club Discounts thru my e-mail address — So until you guys start up a program & add back the 5.00 & 7.00 menus — i'm done & will not find another wf... worst experiences ever
I have been to waffle house at least 30 times in past 2 years and on 3 occasions, had to write about bad situations. Well, I sent in a complaint about terrible service, crappy food and waiting time was off the wall.
A representative from the company just called me ant thank me for explaining situation and he is going to that restaurant tomorrow, but that does not help me with my time, terrible coffee which I was charged for after waiting 25 minutes and told that he would have to check to see if he can get authorization to provide me with a free breakfast since I have written in 3 other times.
Look at the number of complaints you get about the same problems in all different restaurants. I just reviewed them and I don't know how your sales are going, but your turnover is terrible and if you paid your staff members better, the conditions would get better since your retain employees longer
I will never, yes never go to your restaurants again, and I am going to post my experience on all social media networks.

I went to the waffle house at about 8:30pm on 9/21/18 and it took me about 10min to recieve any kind of service. When a watress finally came over it was Barbera. She acted as if she wasnt sire of her self and my order yook forever to get to me. I ordered I All Star breakfast my grits were absolutely gross I got my Waffle before I got my food she never offered me anything else to drink on every feeling coffee which had to ask for a Coke. It was a big argument in the back there was very unnecessary in the restaurant. The Cook walk out it was no one to cook the food I'm sitting here now with a cold waffle she even asked me if it was cold and I just got my food and not been doing this review about 5 minutes after I started getting my food. For the last 3 months every time I come in here I have a bad experience I've been charged but things are much I didn't get I've been I've had to stay 45 minutes and wait for my order to be called in find like 45 minutes later and very displeased this will be the last time that I'm at this Waffle House
grill operator
I took my mom in to the Zebulon, NC store tonight 09/17/2018 for a waffle. We sat down and our server brought us coffee. They were changing shifts and grill operators. The grill operator was being rude to our server. She went to the back so the server poured the batter in the waffle maker because there was no grill op on the floor. The grill op then proceeded to tell our server coming from the back and the server was by the waffle station, you have something to [censored]ing say. Now I have managed for many years. I have worked customer service in position in my career. This is very bad for business. I have recently moved to the area and there is more immature drama at that location. But tonight was especially bothersome to me, the server did not say anything back to the grill op. The employee (grill operator) has caused that store a hostile work environment. Waffle House is and open area and there is no place for that kind of behavior. I will not be taking my mother back to that location, I will find another place for her and I to have a waffle. For the manager, the grill operator will eventually cost the company a lawsuit. In a world where people are sue happy there is surely a person that will file a suit for hostile work environment or just plain smack the grill operator. I am ashamed that even took place in the presence of my mother. The frill operator is a rude, snotty person who bullies people to make herself feel superior. Don't be the company who allows bullies to continue mistreating other employees. I fully intend to follow up on this complaint. This is very bad management and bad business
waffle house systems down/customer service
Last night I went to the Waffle House in Centre, Alabama. I have never had a problem with any Waffle House.
I ordered take home order. I did not call ahead and they were crowded. So the wait was long which was fine. I should have called ahead.
When my order was ready I tried to pay. My card was not denied or rejected. The manager told me Wells Fargo or Visa was down because it was not connecting to their system.
He said it could not be WH because he had not gotten a message from headquarters. So far, it is what it is. Things just happen.
The manager should have been able to call someone and find out what the problem was or comped the meal. He certainly had no right to embarrass me and say it was my fault especially since he said it happens frequently.
He stood and looked at me. As though I should do something to fix the problem. I told him this is a bad situation for both of us. Still, no response. I left the two big bags of food on the counter. On the way out another customer told me his card did not work either.
A kind couple paid for my food and fixed the problem. I am grateful for their kindness. However the customer service should come from WH.
The manager was also barking orders at a new employee. She was doing the best she could in a frustrating situation. It made me cringe. I was emba for her.
The other employees were awesome, as usual. The cook in particular tried to smooth things over.
Very disappointed at Waffle House's response.

On a day of all the stress of this hurricane at around 9:30 am I am sitting eating my food at a booth table an a waitress who wasn't even my waitress comes to my table an ask if I can move so other customers who just came in could sit down I was sitting alone an thought to myself after getting ready to move my food to let the other customers sit down that it makes no sense for me as a paying customer to get up an move in the middle of eating my food so I called my waiter an asked him to bring me a to go tray an told him the situation an asked him to have his manager to come so I could address my concerns she did I told her what happen an she asked me who told me to move I started out by saying to her that I didn't know how they run their business an it doesn't matter but to be asked to move so other customers could be seated was unexceptionable and that due to me not being able to eat my food in peace that I would like to be receive a discount to the discrepancy she went an talked to the waitress I got up an went to the register very much upset and she apologized and said she spoke with her she then started writing on the yellow receipt an it came up to around 24.00 dollars which was too much for what I purchase so I asked her for a itemized print out she said she had to keep the yellow copy and wrote on the back of my receipt what I purchased which was T-bone steak 10.90 omelet 5.10 -60 and Oj 1.90 which should have been 17.30 so I am not sure where the 24.00 dollars came from she stated she gave me a 5% discount which came up to $15.32 which I paid although I feel it should have been no more than 10.00 for the stress an mistreatment I received I never want anyone to have to experience this kind of treatment in the future my food was good but the service was unexceptionable an it's imperative for the success of a business to never have employees treat customers this was it's discrimination no mater how you look at it an something must happen. #Very unhappy customer.
