My Frustrating Experience with Warby Parker Glasses
I just finished a two-month long journey to get glasses from Warby Parker. I ordered five pairs to try on at the beginning of June. They arrived quickly and were not too dirty or smudged. I picked my favorite pair and was excited to receive them. However, when I put them on, I couldn't see a thing. I had just had an eye exam from my long-time eye doctor the day before I ordered the glasses, so I knew my prescription was correct. I called Warby Parker and was told to talk to one of their doctors. Unfortunately, their doctors have limited weekday only hours that happen to be the same hours most people work. As I wasn't able to take time off from work for a 15-minute phone call, I was told to take the glasses to my eye doctor to diagnose the problem.
Luckily, my doctor was very gracious and checked the glasses for me for free. They even re-checked my prescription to make sure it hadn't been measured wrong (of course it wasn't). They ended up telling me the "base curve" of the lenses was basically zero and that I would never be able to see out of them without a base curve, something that the lenses should have had.
I called Warby Parker again and set up an exchange for a second pair of glasses, supposedly made at a different lab, with a base curve. Fast forward another week or so and I have a new pair. Unfortunately, I still couldn't see a damn thing. In fact, they were worse than the first pair. So I called again and set up an at-home try-on for five more pairs, hoping maybe if I picked a different style frame, I could use them to, you know, see.
I received my third pair last week and guess what... still looked like I was in a fishbowl. However, I liked how the frames looked on me and I couldn't afford $350 designer glasses, so I decided to keep the frames at least. I made my hundredth call to Warby Parker and said I give up! I purchased the frames alone for half of what I had spent on them initially and am taking them to my trusted doctor to have lenses put in there. Hopefully, before autumn comes, I'll have some freaking glasses... didn't know it would be a summer-long process!
Every single person I talked to at Warby Parker was amazingly helpful, cheerful, friendly, and awesome! I can't complain one bit about the customer service. That part of the experience was great.
Terrible Experience with Warby Parker: Defective Glasses, No Refunds, and Poor Customer Service
I had a really bad experience with Warby Parker. I followed all the instructions online, uploaded my prescriptions from Kaiser in the right file format, and even talked to one of their representatives to make sure everything was perfect. I ordered contacts and two pairs of glasses with all the bells and whistles, spending a whopping $898. The contacts arrived, but I had to wait a couple of weeks for the glasses. Finally, I got a tracking number through email indicating that the glasses were on their way. But when I clicked through, there was no tracking info, and the glasses were not on their way. Meanwhile, the payments had already gone through one credit card cycle.
When the glasses finally arrived, I was excited to try them on. But to my dismay, one lens on each pair had no prescription, and the other had my proper prescription, which is very strong (-9.5). Both pairs of glasses were unusable. I was so angry after waiting all that time. I called Warby Parker, and we had a long discussion about whose fault it was. They couldn't pull up the images for the original doctor's prescription and show that my prescription was off in their files. Finally, the assistant cleared up the error, which was on their end. But I didn't get an apology, just a syrupy, stupid comment about "we are certainly happy to issue a full refund." What the heck! I just wanted my glasses!
So, the person offered to expedite the corrected two pairs of glasses and to give me a $50 credit for the hassle. They also promised to send me a shipping label to return the defective glasses. But guess what? Five days later, I still hadn't received the $50 refund, the shipping label, or the expedited glasses. I called this morning, and the assistant showed no order whatsoever for the corrected glasses. None. Then, as she was supposedly issuing my refund on all of their products, she hung up on me while I was on hold. And she didn't call back.
So, I called again, and of course, it was a new person who knew nothing about the situation. She determined that the refunds were being issued, but I couldn't get my refunds until they got their defective glasses back. So here I sit, with no glasses, and they have nearly $900 of my money. Yes, I am really angry. No, I will never use them again. And yes, I will tell everyone this story.
Warby Parker: A Rollercoaster Ride of Online Glasses Ordering
I recently ordered a pair of glasses from Warby Parker, and let me tell you, the experience was a rollercoaster ride. First of all, the tracking app they provide feels a bit bogus to me. I mean, I'm not entirely convinced that my glasses aren't still sitting in a factory in China waiting for the DHL truck to come pick them up.
And don't even get me started on the promised 5-7 business day delivery time. I'm starting to think that was just a joke.
But let's start from the beginning. After placing my order last Friday, I was bombarded with emails from someone named 'Maddy' (who I'm pretty sure is just a fake name generated by Mailchimp). She kept trying to get me to buy all sorts of add-ons, but I declined. And then I found out that my order would be held up until I responded. Talk about amateur hour.
But then, on Monday, I received an email from Warby Parker saying that my order had 'shipped'. I was excited, but also a bit confused because the email didn't say where my order had shipped from. Still, I clicked on the link they provided to a site called 'newgistics' that was supposed to give me all the information I needed.
Let me just say, the name 'newgistics' is a bit ridiculous. I mean, why not just use FedEx or UPS like everyone else? Anyway, the site told me that my order had been 'inducted' into their system at a 'partner' shipper near the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. And there it sat for two days.
Meanwhile, I can order a box of paper clips from Amazon and track it from dock to truck to drop-off in a matter of minutes. Why is it so hard for Warby Parker to deliver a pair of glasses?
Honestly, I think the Warby Parker folks are more interested in their website and WordPress calls-to-action than they are in actually delivering physical goods. They're like Elon Musk with a great, disruptive idea but no idea how to sell cars.
But hey, maybe my glasses will eventually be un-inducted from that snazzy, disruptive network system and actually make it to my doorstep. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I'm just going to sit here and wonder why I ever thought it was a good idea to order glasses online.
All in all, I guess it was worth the $95 to see just how badly fulfillment can be handled. But let's not confuse these web-loving, disruptive twenty-somethings with someone like Jeff Bezos who actually knows how to deliver the goods.
Review: Warby Parker - Vintage-Inspired Glasses with Great Customer Service & Fast Shipping
Warby Parker is a great place to buy glasses. Their glasses are so cool and unique, and they have a lot of different options to choose from. I love how all of their glasses are vintage-inspired. They are also very high-quality, which is important to me because I want my glasses to last a long time.
Their customer service is amazing. They have a live chat on their website that can help with any question you may have, and I have used it many times. They are so nice and will do absolutely anything to make your experience better. I also called their phone customer service and the lady I spoke with was so nice, professional, and helpful. She gave me a tip on how I can order a frame that was out of stock, and I would have never known that had I not spoken with her. And immediately after my phone call, I received an email clearing everything up and making sure I was happy with everything.
Their stuff ships out fast, which is great because I am an impatient person. The Home-Try On System says it will be at your house within five business days, and I received mine in 4 days. Super quick and easy to return since they ship through USPS and you can just put it right back into your mailbox with their return label in the same box.
I have had my Warby Parker glasses for a few months now, and I wanted to share that they are so wonderful! They are great quality, but when I got them for the first few weeks they did make "rickety" noises when I was trying to clean them. Other than that, though, I have not had any other problems with the quality. I bought the style "Ames," and I LOVE them so much because of their vintage feel. The only thing I did not take into account is that they are very heavy frames, so after wearing them for a few hours or the whole day, I usually end up with a headache or pains behind my ears/on the bridge of my nose. This is after having them adjusted, so it is not because of how they fit, it is because of their weight. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy again from Warby Parker!
Warby Parker Sunglasses Review: Disappointing Fit, But Great Customer Service
I live outside San Francisco and I was looking for a pair of prescription sunglasses. They can be pretty pricey, so I decided to make the 1 hour and 45 minutes round-trip drive into SF and the 15 minute hunt for street parking to check out Warby Parker. When I walked in, I noticed that everyone looked like they were 15 years old, and I'm talking about the employees. Nevertheless, I found a pair of sunglass frames that I really liked and they fit quite nicely. I paid $350 for the frames and prescription sunglass lenses and waited several weeks for them to arrive in the mail at my house.
When I finally received my sunglasses, I was disappointed to find that they didn't fit as well as the ones I tried on in the store. They were flatter or bent differently or something, and as soon as I put them on, they were huge. They didn't hug my head at all and fell off as soon as I barely tilted my head down. It was frustrating. The only place you can get Warby Parker glasses adjusted is at Warby Parker, so I had to make another 1 hour and 45 minutes round-trip drive into San Francisco, followed by another 15-20 minutes hunting for street parking.
When I got there, the guy at the counter did the old "dip the glasses frame in those hot beads" or whatever they are, to warm up the frame so he could bend it. He did that a couple of times and the glasses were still quite loose. So then he heated up the end of each temple where it sits on your ear, so that the temple would wrap a bit behind my ears. That helped them not slide down my nose and I could finally tilt my head down, but the glasses still swing side to side, just barely hanging on at my ears. I asked him to bend the frame more so that the length of the temple was snug to my head, like normal glasses frames. He said he couldn't and that bending them at the ears was the best way to fix the problem I was having.
Well, a few weeks later, other than the tenuous hold right at my ears, I am very, very annoyed that I spent $350 on a pair of sunglasses that wobble back and forth any time I am not looking straight ahead. I am constantly pushing them back up on my nose. What you get from Warby Parker is not necessarily what you try on in their showroom or through their program where they will mail you frames to try out. I was so disappointed that I vowed never to buy another pair of anything from Warby Parker and I would definitely advise others to beware!
Update*** I just changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars. I sent my rant to Warby Parker Customer Service and they promptly responded, offering to let me pick out different frames and make me a new pair of prescription progressive sunglasses for free, even though I am way past their 30-day return period. I'm trying out the "try-on at home" option to select a frame this time, as I'm sick of the very long round-trip into SF. Hopefully this new pair will fit better.
Disappointing Quality and Filthy Glasses: My Experience with Warby Parker's At-Home Try-On
I was super stoked to get my hands on the 5 at-home try-on pairs from Warby Parker. But, when they finally arrived, my excitement turned into disappointment. The box was divided into five sections, one for each pair of glasses. The glasses were packed in little ziploc bags that looked like they had been used and reused a million times. I opened each bag, and to my horror, every single pair of glasses was dirty and disgusting. The frames and lenses were covered in grime, and I even found someone's eyelash on one of the lenses. Gross! I had to clean each pair of glasses before I could even try them on.
The glasses were not only filthy, but they were also not worth the $100 price tag. Most of the frames I tried on were their higher-priced glasses at $145, and they felt flimsy and cheap. I've been wearing glasses for the last 15 years, and I've never had a pair that felt this cheap. Even after a year or two of wear, my glasses have never squeaked or creaked like these did. It wasn't just one pair that did this; every pair did.
Compared to designer frames, Warby Parker is junk. The styles are there, but the quality is severely lacking. If you wear glasses daily, I would not recommend buying from Warby Parker. I feel like I would have spent just as much as I would have spent on a $400 pair of designer frames/lenses. I have no doubt that these Warby Parker frames/lenses would not have lasted long, and I would have had to buy more than one pair. I was really afraid they were going to fall apart before I could even ship them back to Warby Parker.
When I rated my at-home try-on, I left a comment about how filthy the glasses were and how they were creaking and squeaking. But, I received no response from the company. I guess they don't care about the quality of their product.
On the bright side, the service was great. I had really great communication with a few different representatives. They were very helpful and informative. Warby Parker's home try-on is even free to Hawaii! The idea that the company gives a pair of glasses for each pair bought is also pretty cool.
Overall, I will not be a customer of Warby Parker. The quality of their product isn't worth taking the risk.
Disappointing Experience with Warby Parker's Shipping and Customer Service
My experience with Warby Parker has been a bit of a letdown. A friend recommended them to me and I decided to try out their Home Try-On service, which went smoothly. I placed my order on a Friday and received it the following Tuesday, which was a reasonable turnaround time. I tried on the frames and selected a pair with my prescription, placing the order on the same day.
However, things started to go downhill from there. The glasses were shipped out on the following Friday, and when I asked for tracking information, I was surprised to see an estimated delivery date of 1/18-1/20. This was confusing to me, as my Home Try-On order had arrived in just two business days. I reached out to customer service for clarification, but their response was not very helpful. They told me that they use the same shipping service for both the Home Try-On and paid orders, but that I could expect my glasses as late as 1/23.
As I continued to track my package, I became increasingly skeptical of their explanation. My glasses had traveled between several irrelevant cities and spent an entire business day just sitting at a shipping facility. It seemed like they were not using rush shipping for my paid order, unlike they did for the Home Try-On. I started to wonder if they were being dishonest about their shipping practices.
What disappointed me the most was not the delay in receiving my glasses, but the lack of transparency and trustworthiness from Warby Parker. I felt like they were not being upfront with me about their shipping methods, and their customer service was not very helpful. They did not offer any alternative shipping options, and their mismatched shipping times for the Home Try-On and paid orders left me with more questions than answers.
In the future, I will probably look for other options for my eyewear needs. I would prefer a service that places more emphasis on customer satisfaction and transparency. While Warby Parker may work for some people, it did not meet my expectations.
Exceptional Customer Service: My Experience with Warby Parker
I have been a loyal customer of Warby Parker for quite some time now and I must say that their service is simply amazing. I have owned four pairs of glasses from them and just recently, I decided to try their at-home try-on service. I received the glasses to try on and I loved them all, but I only kept them for a day. I knew which ones I wanted right away and didn't want to test fate by holding them longer than needed, so I sent them back. Even after I sent them back, I continued to receive emails about the at-home try-on and where I was in the timeline. I received the last email telling me to send them back when it had already been four days since I sent them back, so I called to check on the order. When I called, the phone rang once and someone answered. It felt like I had called the Warby Parker house. The girl I talked to was so warm and welcoming! She pretty much told me what I already knew, that it was an automated email and yes, they had already received the glasses back.
I went online and placed my order for the ones I liked. I received an email asking for a little more information for measurements. I responded with the information and received an immediate reply that some information was still missing, but they were able to get it from my last order. Perfect. I responded in my normal bubbly tone saying "thank you" to which Katie C replied in an equally bubbly tone "you're welcome". I received my new glasses on Wednesday 6/29.
I wore my awesome new glasses for three days until Saturday July 2nd, which was the day of my family's 4th of July party on the lake. I was in charge of filling up the inflatables on the lake. I had my new glasses with me and my RX sunglasses. I was wearing the sunglasses with my Warby Parkers tucked in my shirt. I thought they were pretty snug. I was bending out over the water filling the 15 x 15 foot float and my glasses fell out into the water. They didn't hover at the top for even a second. They went straight down. I was crushed, but I loved them.
So on July 5th, I called them. Again, the call is received like I'm calling a friend. Just the most amazing feeling when calling such a big company. Like you really matter. I talked to another young lady. I told her what had happened and told her that I need to just duplicate the order but change the billing card. She responded completely in shock at my tragedy cause naturally she understands that I loved my new Warby Parker glasses. She asked for my order number. When she looked it up, she asked "did you just get these glasses?" I said "yes, I just received them on Wednesday and got to wear them for three days." She said, "ok, hold on one second and let me look at something." When she came back, she told me that they were going to send me the new glasses for free. I was blown away to say the least. What an amazing company to see how much I loved them and how broken-hearted I was that I lost them, and then send me my new pair free as a courtesy. Then she said, "Are these your daily glasses? Do you have other ones to wear or do we need to..." I stopped her cause I saw where she was going. I said, "I still have my Zagg pair that's pretty close in prescription so regular mail is fine." I don't think I'll ever buy from anyone else other than Warby Parker! Their customer service is top-notch and they truly care about their customers.
Mixed Experience with Warby Parker: Great Glasses, but Shipping Issues and Poor Communication
I gotta say, I'm not super impressed with Warby Parker. This is my second time ordering from them and both times have been a bit of a mess. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of the company and the glasses themselves are great, but the ordering process has been a bit of a headache.
The first time I ordered sunglasses, I had to update my prescription info over email and was sold on high index lenses for an additional $130. Then there was a whole debacle about my shipping address, which took a while to get sorted out. I assumed that my address would be updated internally so that if I ordered again, it would be correct. But nope, my address wasn't updated and I had to go through the whole process again.
I will say that the ordering process itself is pretty seamless. With my prescription, payment info, and shipping address all saved from my last order, I was able to order my new glasses in just 15 minutes. But then my address wasn't updated again and I had to chase down my glasses for four days. And when I finally got an email saying my glasses were being remade, there was no explanation of what was going on or if my original pair might still show up.
I get that I'm partly to blame for putting in a funky address and assuming it would be updated, but there has to be a better way of communicating with customers and addressing shipping issues. It's a part of ecommerce to have issues with shipping, but the way Warby Parker handles it is a bit ridiculous.
My boyfriend ordered glasses from them too and had a great experience, so maybe it's just me. But I hope they find a better way of handling customer issue tracking and take this feedback into consideration.
Warby Parker Review: Not Recommended for Complex Prescriptions and Poor Customer Service
This review is going to be a long one, so buckle up! Let me start by saying that Warby Parker (WP) is not a great option for those with complex prescriptions. I learned this the hard way when I went back to them for a second round of glasses after getting a pair from them in '22. While the quality of the glasses was okay, it wasn't any better than what I had been getting from Kaiser Optical for years. However, I was drawn to WP because of their great frames and compelling story. I had read about them in the New York Times and was intrigued by their socially conscious capitalism.
Unfortunately, my experience with WP was far from positive. Their customer service was terrible, and it was nearly impossible to get in touch with them via email or phone. I had to physically go to one of their brick and mortar stores to get any information on the status of my order. This was a huge waste of time and emotion, especially since the product I received was only half as good as what I had been getting from Kaiser.
To be fair, not everyone can make the lenses I require. Lens Crafters and Costco couldn't do it, either. I have a complex, high index prescription, and I'm at the stage of life where progressives are necessary. I'm always looking for a more circular, smaller frame that will minimize surface area and the thickness of the lenses. While Kaiser had been my go-to for glasses, I decided to give WP a try since they had a local store and more frames in the size and shape I needed.
The first pair I got from WP wasn't bad, and it arrived fairly quickly. However, when I went back to order two more pairs, the issues began. WP says they can roll and polish lenses, but most of the time, the lab just crams the lenses into the frames and doesn't follow directions. One of the two pairs I ordered in '22 didn't have the polish, so that frame was remade by WP five times before they got it right. I had the last few attempts delivered to the store so they could check them before I received them.
My prescription changed again this spring, and I went back to WP since Kaiser didn't have the frames I wanted. I went to the store closest to my eye examination, but the staff was unhelpful and seemed to have no idea how to order glasses in their system. To make matters worse, the person helping me was sick and blowing into a cloth snot rag every five seconds. I should have walked out then, but I stupidly gave them another chance.
The first of the two pairs I ordered arrived at the store okay, but the optical quality wasn't as good as it should have been. If I switch between contacts and glasses in this frame, eye focus is an issue, and if it's late at night or I'm tired, the glasses aren't quite right in the left eye, which is the one that changed the most. WP isn't consistent about measuring the vertical and horizontal placement of your eyes, which is critical for high index prescriptions. The focus area needs to be in the right place for a high index script vs. someone who's -3 or less.
The second pair of glasses from WP was a disaster. They couldn't get it right, and I had to have the left lens installed upside down on the first pair. The second pair had the left lens made in the wrong prescription, and the third pair never showed up at the store, even though the system said they were made. I was fortunate to get a refund, and I went back to Kaiser, where I know the opticians quite well. They spent an hour with me making sure my order was right, and we found frames that weren't super ugly that would work. By the time discounts were applied, two pairs in the best high index progressive lenses they offer with transitions were actually cheaper than WP by roughly $50 on the grand total.
What WP doesn't understand is that their glasses-making model is essentially broken. Kaiser has its own lab, and as an HMO, they see lots of high index scripts and know how to make them. Moreover, all of their optical shops have basic optical equipment, and the opticians are trained to use it. They can do minor fixes and adjustments right there and not have to have a pair of glasses remade. If there's a problem with your order, they can call their lab and talk to a human about it. WP's model might work if they were using state-of-the-art labs, but all these quality control issues say to me that their labs suck and probably aren't state-of-the-art.
In conclusion, I would not recommend WP to anyone. While glasses aren't cheap, you get what you pay for, and if you can, shop around and deal with brick and mortar situations if possible. This was by far the worst quality and customer service shopping experience I've ever had. Stay away!

My purchase was 6/23. Order #[protected] cost $175. I have vision issue that have developed in the past year.
I wanted to get a new prescription and have you simply exchange them into the frames I presently have.
I was told no, outside the six months. Now it is only a bit over 7 months.
I dont think this is unreasonable request.
If you check your records, my wife and I have purchased several pairs of glasses over the years including sun glasses
I would appreciate a response and resolution,
Thank You

Disappointing Experience with Warby Parker: Poor Quality Lenses and Lacking Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Warby Parker and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I ordered high index lenses because I have trouble with polycarbonate lenses. When my glasses arrived, I noticed that my eyes hurt when I wore them. I thought it was just a matter of getting used to the new lenses, but when my eyes continued to hurt, I started to suspect that they were polycarbonate lenses, which have caused me problems in the past.
I decided to email Warby Parker to confirm that they had sent me the high index lenses that I had ordered. To my surprise, they had intentionally sent me different lenses without informing me. They filled my order with regular lenses because, according to them, those lenses are better for my prescription. I was not consulted about this decision, nor was I informed. I was under the impression that I had received what I had ordered, but instead, I was given something that caused me discomfort.
When I explained the problem to Warby Parker, they recommended that I speak to one of their doctors or go into one of their stores. However, they did not explain why they would change my order without consulting me. I felt like I had wasted enough time with this company and did not want to spend any more time trying to fix the problem they had created. I was disappointed with their customer service and the quality of their lenses.
In conclusion, I would not recommend using Warby Parker. The lenses are of poor quality and the customer service is lacking. You get what you pay for, and in this case, it was not worth it.
Disappointing Experience with Warby Parker: Prescription Mix-Up and Poor Customer Service
We placed an order for glasses on March 27th, and the next day we received a call from Warby Parker saying that the prescription had expired. We had just gone to the doctor the day before, so we were confused. The prescription was only one day old, but the doctor's handwriting was terrible, and it looked like it said 2005 instead of 2015. We understand that mistakes happen, so we didn't make a big deal out of it. We emailed and called back and forth all day, but they couldn't find the correct phone number for the doctor. So, we had to Google it for them. We thought that after they got the correct number, things would start moving along, so we forgot about it.
A week later, we still hadn't received the glasses, so my boyfriend called to ask what was going on. They told him that they never got a hold of the doctor and pretty much just gave up on our order. We were shocked and frustrated. The guy on the phone apologized profusely and said he would take $10 off our order. We didn't think that was enough compensation for the inconvenience we had experienced. The next day, we received an email saying that they had finally contacted the doctor and that he should be faxing the prescription over. That was a week ago, and we haven't heard anything since. They still haven't charged us for anything, which leads us to believe that the order hasn't even shipped yet.
My boyfriend still doesn't have his new glasses, so he's been walking around blind as a bat. We're beyond frustrated and angry. We sent another email, but it's the weekend, so we don't expect to hear back until Monday. We're seriously considering canceling the order altogether. We wouldn't recommend Warby Parker to anyone. They've been nothing but a pain in the $#*!.

Disappointed with Warby Parker's Glasses Quality and Durability
I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled with Warby Parker. I mean, don't get me wrong, their customer service team is top-notch. They're quick to respond and always professional. But unfortunately, that's about the only good thing I can say about them.
I ordered a pair of prescription glasses and sunglasses from their Miami store back in May of this year. The delivery was on time, which was great. But then I started noticing scratches on my regular glasses lenses. And let me tell you, I take care of my glasses like they're my babies. I'm super careful with them because I need them to see. Plus, they're supposed to be scratch-resistant!
So I contacted customer service and they were great. They replaced my glasses without any hassle. But then, a few months later, I noticed scratches on both my regular glasses and my sunglasses. Again, I only clean them with the provided cloths and lens cleaner, and I keep my sunglasses in their case when I'm not wearing them.
I contacted customer service again and they replaced both pairs of glasses. And once again, they were outstanding. But now, just about a month later, I've found the same scratches in the same places on my regular glasses. I'm just done. I've gone through five pairs of glasses and I'm still having the same problem.
I'm not going to contact customer service again. I'm not going to use Warby Parker again. And I'm definitely not going to recommend them to anyone. I'll take my business elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with Warby Parker: Discrimination and Partnership with Arby's
I recently had an experience with Warby Parker that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I had ordered my glasses at their Brooklyn location and had an eye exam scheduled for 11.20am at their Washington Street location in Meatpacking, NYC a few days later. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain and I arrived at 11.26am, just one minute past my grace period. The eye doctor was running 10-15 minutes behind schedule, which meant that the person who had an appointment before me was still with the doctor when I arrived.
Despite the fact that I was only one minute late, Managers Hussain and Chris used my tardiness as an excuse to take another white client and cancel my appointment. They informed me in a very haughty manner that the doctor was running late, but that my lateness of one minute was unacceptable. I was shocked to see that while I was being told to reschedule, a white family of four was given my appointment slot. When I asked why this was happening, all they said was that I was one minute over my grace time.
I tried to explain that I was only six minutes late and that the doctor was over 10 minutes behind schedule, but it seemed that other clients were being preferred over me. I was saddened to see that, except for me, all the clients in the store were white. To make matters worse, the manager was speaking to me in a rude manner that emboldened a random customer to start yelling at me about eye doctors and whatnot. I was left in an unpleasant and aggressive situation.
Despite this experience, I must say that Warby Parker has a great selection of glasses and their website is easy to navigate. However, I was disappointed to learn that they are in partnership with Arby's, a company that continues to advertise on Laura Ingraham's show. I hope that Warby Parker will reconsider this partnership and take a stand against hate speech and discrimination.
Disappointing Warranty Policies and Lack of Customer Service from Warby Parker
I recently purchased a pair of glasses from Warby Parker's website in April 2023. Unfortunately, after only a week of use, the liner on the right frame broke. I was disappointed to see this happen as I had not dropped or mishandled the glasses in any way. Upon visiting the Warby Parker store, I was informed that they could not replace the glasses with the exact same frame that I had chosen and wanted. This was due to their policy of not stocking or producing certain frames anymore.
I was offered two alternative colors that I did not like or the option to purchase a new frame at full price. I had paid almost $300 for the glasses, and I was not happy with the options presented to me. I felt like they were not investing in my satisfaction as a customer. I had chosen the glasses because I loved the color and frame, and now I was being told that I could not have the same design.
I was disappointed with Warby Parker's warranty policies and lack of customer service. They did not offer any refunds or compensation for the inconvenience I had experienced. As a regular customer of Warby Parker, this was not the first time I had purchased glasses from them. However, after this experience, I will not be recommending them to anyone.
It is frustrating to spend a significant amount of money on a product that breaks within a week of use, and then be told that I must pay more money to replace it. I do not believe this is fair or reasonable. I hope that Warby Parker will consider improving their policies and investing in their customers' satisfaction in the future.
Disappointed with Warby Parker's Lack of Communication and Customer Service
I was really excited about Warby Parker at first, but now I'm pretty disappointed. They sent me 5 different frames to try on for free, which was awesome. I was even able to keep them for longer than expected because of bad weather and having 4 kids to take care of. But then things went downhill. I asked if I could keep the frames I liked and just have my eye doctor put lenses in them because my insurance covers it. They said yes and that I would be "billed" once they got the other frames back. But what they really meant was that they were going to charge me without any warning or notice. They just took the money out of my account without telling me. I only found out because I check my account all the time. I even have the Warby Parker app and I didn't get a notification. This is really frustrating and inconvenient. When I contacted customer support, they were not helpful at all. They didn't care that they took money from my account without my permission. They were really rude and condescending. I can't believe they can just charge people without telling them. Other companies always let you know when you're going to be charged. If Warby Parker would just communicate with their customers better, they wouldn't have so many bad reviews. I won't be using them again because of this terrible experience. I'm just hoping the frames I got hold up because I've heard a lot of people have had problems with them breaking. If you're thinking about using Warby Parker, I would look somewhere else.
Disappointed with Warby Parker: Poor Quality Control and Inflexible Policies
I've been a loyal customer of Warby Parker since they opened their first brick and mortar store in San Francisco. I've always been impressed with the quality of their products, the fit of their glasses, and their customer service. However, my recent experience with them has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
In August of 2022, I ordered two pairs of glasses from Warby Parker - one for distance and one for computer use. When the first shipment arrived at my home, I discovered that both pairs had the same prescription. I sent back the duplicate pair and waited for the correct prescription to arrive. When it did, I was shocked to find that the right lens had massive crazing across it. I had to take photos to prove the issue and secure a replacement pair.
Unfortunately, the replacement pair took a month to arrive because it had to be shipped to the East Coast for quality control. When it finally arrived, the lenses looked good, but the right arm of the frames was bent and warped. I was frustrated but didn't pursue a third replacement because I needed glasses to see and work and couldn't wait any longer.
Fast forward to January of 2023, and I've noticed that both pairs of glasses have started to show crazing on the edges of the lenses. It's creeping towards my main focal point, and I'm worried about the long-term durability of the glasses.
I called Warby Parker this morning to request a full refund, but I was told that it wasn't possible. They only offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, and I'm well past that point. The customer service representatives I spoke with were polite but unrelenting. They offered to ship replacement pairs, but I don't trust the product or their production service model anymore.
I'm very unhappy with my experience with Warby Parker, and I'm out $420. I'm homebound and using outdated prescription glasses in the meantime. It's worth noting that the outdated glasses I'm wearing right now are also from Warby Parker, and I bought them six to eight years ago. They've held up well with no crazing or quality issues.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend shopping at Warby Parker unless you can afford the financial loss or are only looking for cosmetic frames with no risk of crazing. Their customer service is polite, but their policies are inflexible, and their quality control seems to be lacking.
Disappointing Experience with Warby Parker: Inaccurate Measurements, Unavailable Frames, and Wrong Prescription
So, I gotta say, my experience with Warby Parker was not great. I was really interested in some frames that weren't available for home try-on, so I reached out to them to see when they'd be available. They gave me a pretty vague answer and basically just told me to buy them and return them if I didn't like them. I wasn't super thrilled about that, but I didn't know what else to do, so I went ahead and bought them.
Then came the issue with my pupillary distance. It wasn't included in my prescription, so Warby Parker's solution was to have me hold a credit card up to my face and take a picture. I mean, come on, that's not exactly the most accurate way to measure something. When the glasses arrived, they were way too tight and the pupillary distance was way off. I felt like I was seeing double!
I called Warby Parker to see if maybe the high index lenses were the problem, but the person I spoke with said they'd have an optician email me the next day. That never happened. So, I returned the glasses and tried to find another pair of frames I liked. But once again, the ones I wanted weren't available for home try-on. What's the point of Warby Parker if you can't even try on the frames you want?
I decided to just go to a Warby Parker store and try on some frames in person. It was a bit of a trek, but I found a pair I liked and got all the measurements taken. I gave them my prescription and ordered the glasses. When they finally arrived, the prescription was wrong! I was so frustrated at this point. I don't know what to do except go back to the eye doctor and have them remake the lenses.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Warby Parker. I feel like their whole thing is supposed to be making glasses shopping easier and more convenient, but it just ended up being a huge hassle for me. I'm not sure if I'll be using them again in the future.
Review of Warby Parker Glasses: Good Customer Service, Flimsy Frames, Better Options Available
I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with the customer service over at Warby Parker. Both the online chat and phone support were top-notch, even when I had to return my glasses for a refund. However, when I finally received my glasses, I noticed that neither of the lenses were fully in the frames. I was able to fix the right one, but the left one just wouldn't stay put. I'm thinking it might have been because of my strong progressives not working well with the small frame (Renwick), but I really wish someone had contacted me to let me know or even just looked at the finished product before sending it out.
Now, don't get me wrong, Warby Parker definitely has better quality and selection than other online places that offer frames and polycarb lenses for under $100 (like Felix and Iris or Classic Specs). But I gotta say, they're pretty flimsy. I'd only recommend them if you're looking for a few pairs of glasses to match different outfits.
If you're not planning on changing your frames every year, I'd suggest spending a bit more money (around $50-$100) to get a mid-range brand-name, genuine Luxottica-made frame with comparable lenses at glasses.com. They only have virtual try-on, so you'll need to go to a place like Lenscrafters to write down the style number and dimensions, then search glasses.com (which includes the same-as-everywear polycarb basic lenses in the prices) or the brand's retail site. They'll let you return them if they don't work out. And if you want lens upgrades or just don't like the thicker free lenses, it might be cheaper to go to Costco for better lenses that won't cost much more or may even be cheaper than the upgrade surcharges at online places.
I'm not a paid spokesperson or anything, but my husband actually bought his prescription RayBans frames online and the total with Costco's 1.67 progressives was about the same price as with the upgrades needed to get the same lens everywhere online (including Warby Parker). I also did this for Polos for 1.67 single-vision computer glasses. And you get strong temples and better-finished acetate, so they should last for two years.
Disappointing Experience with Warby Parker: Prescription and Pupil Distance Issues, Plus Political Virtue Signaling
I recently bought glasses from Warby Parker and was disappointed with my experience. They claimed they would contact my optometrist to get my prescription, but after a week, I had to call them and send it myself. If they don't want to do that, why offer the option? It was a week wasted.
Then, they asked for the distance between my pupils. I took a picture with a credit card at arm's length and sent it in. They said it wasn't good enough, so I sent more pictures. This went on for a week, with me sending over 10 pictures. When I threatened to cancel my order, they finally told me I needed to show the magnetic strip on the card. They never mentioned that before, and it shouldn't have taken so long to figure out.
My last issue is more personal. I'm a democrat, but I don't like when people use their political beliefs to virtue signal. The woman I spoke with used "she/her" in her tagline, which I found annoying. It's a dumb choice for a company to have employees espousing political ideologies in their interactions. I canceled my order and went to LensCrafters instead.
Overall, my experience with Warby Parker was frustrating and time-consuming. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Refusing to serve
I went into the store in New Orleans 3964 Magazine St to purchase some glasses I had been looking at for months because I had cataract surgery, when I arrived at the store the representative at the front desk told me People's Health under United Health care was NOT in the network, I explained I had talked to someone at your store and People's Health that we...

Ordered march 26, then april 10th, got an email saying “we need something”. Thats like THREE WEEKS! I called and waited and waited for a voice to answer - and gave up. So next day tried the online chat and got someone who was very very slow to respond (had to repeat my order number three time!) and he finally said “sorry we dont need anything from you, those emails were a mistake. Were processing your order already”. Then got an email on april 12th, saying theyre now working on my order and will ship in 7-10 days”. That would be april 19th? But now my new delivery date estimate is april 26th.” That is over a month! The only reason im spending $545 on another pair is my last pair they never checked anything in my prior order (my 4th time to order online) and ended up with wrong size glasses (medium width, when every other order ever made was large width). Fine but they refused to take them back to fix, said “sorry cant help you”, so had
to reorder them all over again and will jusy throw away my current pair of new Rx sunglasses. Not a great experience - seems like they are really going downhill in their business. Sad to see.
Desired outcome: Nothing just posting in case others are seeing WP going downhill in service.
Glasses
I am having trouble with my lenses constantly fogging up I use spray cleaner and treated cloth but a few minutes after cleaning they are foggy and dirty. I took 2 pairs of glasses with the same problem on Friday 12/2 to the store inside Boca Tiwn Center. The optician in charge told me nothing could be done and was extremely rude. I will no longer be a customer. I have been wearing glasses for years and never had this problem. She didn’t even offer to have them sent back to see if there was a problem
Desired outcome: New Glasses
Sales rep training
To Whom This May Concern:
After shopping extensively for a new pair of glasses, I decided on Warby Parker based on value for money. I purchased a beautiful frame from the Grand Central location. Shortly after, I realized my prescription had expired, so I inquired about scheduling an eye exam. Two reps informed me that Warby excepted my insurance and they would schedule an appointment for me at the 6th Ave location because their store is small and doesn't offer eye exams.
I show up at the 6th Ave location only to be told my EyeMed insurance isn't accepted in New York City. Further, I would be required to pay upfront, and that my insurance company would reimburse me.
After taking time off from work and commuting, I was highly disappointed in what was a wonderful experience. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that all salespeople are managers. Ultimately, I was referred to LensesCrafters, who provided the eye exam and accepted my insurance. They also suggested I purchase my lenses from them because of several dissatisfied Warby Parker customers.
I like the Warby Parker brand; however, I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I received. I have not decided on my progressive lenses yet.
I will await your response.
Kind regards,
William Smith
charged three times over
Hello-
I supplied the Palo ALto Store and the "Customer help" (Hah) people at Warby Parker with the receipt from the credit card showing they had charged me three times over. This is the letter I received in response.
I had already written complaining that a Customer service representative had promised me aa rebate and a pair of sun glasses and that she was making a not. on the request. The Palo ALto tore denied knowing anything about it. All of this happened yesterday, August 29.

Company Policy
I hope this company goes out of business soon. Since they decided to go woke, I hope they go broke. They are so stupid, they just eliminated about half of the country as customers. I will never buy one of their products and I will make sure that everyone I know will what their political views are. What a bunch of [censored]s!
Political wokism
Warby Parker seems to be bending over (literally) to radical leftist wokatopians who threaten them because of where they place their ads. Working with a leftist who hates transgender people and thinks she can influence cancel culture. Well, if Warby Parker wants to "play" with radicals, they just lost 50% of their customers. Good luck with that.
Desired outcome: Warby Parker just lost 50% of their customer base
don't use them
I have nothing positive to say. Warby Parker doesn't deserve our money. If you want good quality glasses, you better save some money. Warby Parker may seem to be cheaper (even though it's not always true), but their quality leaves much to be desired. So it's a complete waste of money. Plus, they make a lot of mistakes dealing with customers and it's inappropriate. Stay away, please.
Don't buy anything from them
What a crap!
High prices for a low-quality junk from China that costs cheaper on any Chinese website.
I got glasses and was terrified by the way they were done. Poor quality, cheap material. They looked like they were from the doctor kit for children... I am very embarrassed to wear this piece of crap. Shame on you for selling this to people and taking money for nothing!
